James Beaufort Fireteam Raptor Phase Line November
Megan and Lenov sprinted for the trench. James kept one eye on them, and one eye down the sight of his MA5C, watching the forest behind the retreating pair. Mcalister, standing beside James, was doing the same.
A small flash of movement between two trees, so fast that James barley saw it. Were it not for his VSIR, he wouldn't have seen it at all. But the flash of red on his display gave him maybe half a second of warning.
And then, at the exact same moment that Lenov and Megan dropped into the trench, the forest beyond them lit up like a firework. Flashes of blue plasma, pink needles, all turned the forest into a form of hell in the space of a moment. His VSIR was suddenly covered in red with hostile contacts.
"LIGHT 'EM UP!" James yelled, and sighted on the closest of the contacts, a grunt that had appeared from behind a tree some hundred meters distant. The entire team opened fire, and James sent a three round burst downrange. The grunt dropped with a bullet through it's methane breathing apparatus.
James took a moment to open up a comm channel with Lloyd, the LT they had hooked up with earlier, before returning his attention to the battle, dropping another grunt before speaking."Sir, we are under attack by covenant forces, repeat, the covenant has reached November."
OOC: As near as I can tell, the Covenant attack on November has started, but if this post is invalid, please tell me.
OOC: Meh, ignore this post. I'm not sure whether to delete it or what.

Sergeant Jason Bowers Delta Destroyers, 1st Platoon, Sierra's Company Search and Rescue in hostile zone Bowers trudged through the mud and between trees as he searched for the crash site of the downed pilot, his thirteen or so team was a few meters behind a small ODST Fireteam lead by a Sergeant Redsont, a good man, a good soldier, Bowers stopped every now and then to look around and observe his surroundings looking continuiously for the crash site, 'It should not be far away now', he thought since it was only one klick away from his last position, he then heard a bit of static and a voice over his COM's the sound of Corporal Winters' voice. "Sir... I got eye's on what I beleive may be the crash site, thirty meters out, three o'clock"
"Roger that... Let's break off from behind Redsont and check it out"As he said that his Section or Squad moved out from behind Redsont's team to check out the area in which Winter's reported, a few sections of trudging through mud and walking between tree's confirmed it, that this -was- indeed the crash site, Bowers stopped and looked around, man it was a mess, he turned to his 2iC, Corporal Claire Hunt. "Keep the team behind this tree line... And alert Sergeant Redsont"
"Yes Sir" Claire nodded before radioing out to Redsont. "Sergeant Redsont... This is Corporal Hunt under the command of Sergeant Bowers... We found the crash site, repeat, we found the crash site, advise you move your men in and secure the perimiter... Sergeant Bowers has entered the crash site, I do advise you hold yoru fire around the area within the crash, Bowers is currently looking for the Pilot... Over"Bowers nodded before crouching down and moving out into the crash-site, he looked around and approached what he beleived was the rear of the downed Pelican (assuming it is a Pelican), Bowers noted there was no one in the cargo hold before moving around to the front, he then took cover behing a peice of metal stuck in the ground that looked like the starboard wing before yelling out in a soft tone. "Friendlies? This is Sergeant Bowers of the UNSC Marine Corps, come out of cover and identify your self?" Bowers spoke in a soft and reassuring tone though still loud enough to hear for about ten to fifteen meters out, Bowers poked his head up and stood up hoping that the downed Pilot would soon come out of cover, if he was even in cover, and if he was even here.

Covenant UpdateTime: 327 Planet Albert; Three miles from Outpost Greenland. The blue and purple phantom hissed over the trees as it soared to the front lines. Several battles were already underway, and the Human base was almost within reach. They were still a few miles away, but the Field General could almost smell their fear from here... A long, slow grin stretched across the warriors face as he walked towards the core of the ship. The lift hadn’t been activated, but the looming hole in the belly made the General anxious, and along with the rest of his Zealot squad, he wanted to bleed these pesky humans with a passion... To his pleasure, the lift activated and the Phantom twisted as it halted. A battle below was at its peak, and the six fresh warriors plunged into battle. Armed with a pair of energy swords, the General twisted and dismembered two humans with ease. The sudden attack frightened the Human soldiers who turned and began to fire at the threat. He stood and growled, his shields flaring as their deflected the magazines. His five Zealots removed their cloaks and gutted the Human’s, tossing them aside like rag-dolls. The scent of blood on his swords filled the Sangheili’s nostrils. It was a delicious smell... One he hadn’t had since the Human planet ‘Harvest’. “All Warriors currently fighting this pathetic race, your Field General is in the field now... Prove to me you are all worthy to walk the path of the Journey! Let us bring Serge to the human base! All warriors in the area, eliminate this filth!” The General aimed his sword towards the human base as his shields recharged. He waited for a moment, letting the team that had been fighting more on before moving forward into battle himself. His Zealots engaged their cloaks, shifting into the shadows.. [END UPDATE]* * * * * * * * * * * * First Lieutenant Alexander 'Famine' Farence. Apoc-4 Crashsite. |
Alex had almost fallen asleep in the mud, his eyes drooping with fatigue and wish for rest, then a figure had approached his Peregrine. The feeling of sleep vanished and he slowly brought his pistol to bear. He didn’t have a full clip, and he had lost count of how many shots he used. Hell, the man could have only one round in the chamber... and this guy was on the other side of the site. Why was it him that went down..? “Friendlies? This is Sergeant Bowers of the UNSC Marine Corps, come out of cover and identify your self?" The man called out, and a silent sigh of relief washed over Alex, and he layed down in the dirt comfortably for a second. Finally, rescue... Maybe this was why his MTIs put so much into telling everyone that if you go down, just be patient... To bad Alex didn’t have much. As he pushed himself from the mud, Alex holstered his M6 and staggered out of the bush; but his foot got stuck. His eyes gaped open and he stumbled out of the bush, almost falling over but caught himself and stood up. “God damn it...” Alex muttered then looked up to the Marine. “You guys take forever... I thought the Innies were going to get me.” Alex sighed and brushed some of the mud off his flight suit. “First Lieutenant Alex Farence, but my buddies in the sky call me ‘Famine’. Nice to see a friendly face.” Alex grinned as he wiped some dirt and grime off his cheeks. * * * * * * * * * * * * Major Foely and Reaper Platoon Forest Area near Outpost Greece. |
Foely pulled the trigger of his battle rifle, sending a single round through the trees at one of the Elites the Platoon had engaged. The round penetrated the front area of the helmet, piercing right up and through the mandibles into the skull of the alien. Another barrage drilled the chest of the creature before it hit the ground. The area flare with heavy fire-exchanges as they clashed with what seemed to be a Covenant Platoon. They were pushing the Aliens back, and had gained much ground since the first exchange, but the were becoming really annoying... “Apoc, need some hail. Coordinates eight-six-three by three-three-nine.” Foely tucked behind a tree as his call for assistance was quickly answered. A Badger Drone soared overhead, it’s belly dropping some sort of ordinance. Seconds later, the bomb smashed into dirt, rupturing with a fierce blaze as it engulfed the remaining Covenant. “Reaper! Sound off!” Foelly called over the COM as he looked through the forest, scanning for any more contacts. His Sergeants and Fireteam leaders responded quickly one by one as he looked from his right to left. Two wounded, no dead yet... Yet... Foely bit his lip under his helmet, ending the thought. “Move forward. Double time.” Foely took a step forward, and suddenly from the shadows, a mass of silhouettes emerged. The ODST platoon revealed itself for only a second before taking to the shadows again. The soldiers appeared, then disappeared over and over as they moved forward, moving from cover to cover, darkness to darkness. Foely did the same; tucking from tree to bush to tree... Stealth was their friend, and they had made it this far already with very little trouble. What the hell did ONI want out here anyways...? “Hold up..” Sergeant Loudin whispered, and the entire advance halted; the ODST platoon disappearing from sight. “Solo tango... Elite... Red; Major... I’ll take him alone..” The Sergeant whispered. Foely couldn’t see where the man was, but down the line he could see the Major. in a flicker, the Elite’s sheilds vanished as a black body hopped up. Without a sound, the two fell into the brush and the Elite vanished as well as the ODST. Loudin didn’t respond in confirmation, but two more bodies moved; grunts... but then vanished only seconds after exposing themselves. “Tangos down...” The Sergeant finally said after about thirty seconds of silence... “Move up.” Foely muttered, turning forward out of the bush and froze. The back of a massive Red Elite stood only inches from his face. It didn’t move and Foely held up his hand to stop everyone. The massive, muscular beast stood in a slight slump and didn’t move at the looming presence of the ODST. Foely held his breath, afraid even with his helmet, that the monster would hear his lungs take in the air. The Major slowly lowered his rifle, placing it against the tree he had just came out of cover behind. Out of his chest, a freshly sharpened Combat knife was pulled free. Foely looked up at the elite and prepared to jump onto his back, until he noticed something... the eyes were closed.... HE WAS SLEEPING?! Foely’s jaw dropped some, and carefully he walked to the site of the Major. He truly was asleep... Hah, and in the middle of a battle zone... With a delicate motion, Foely gripped the hilt of his knife and quickly cut the throat open of the Elite. The Elite’s eyes gapped open, but he was slow to the draw. Foely pounced, shoving his blade into the eye-socket of the waking-enemy, ending it’s life in an instant. Foely grabbed the chestplate of the Elite and lowered him softly to the ground. In haste, he pulled the alien into the shadows of the trees and cleaned his knife. He holstered the weapon and grabbed his rifle before giving the green-light to his Platoon. The men emerged for only a second before vanishing again, pushing forward towards the Waypoint ONI had given them. “Major, incoming from Bracknell...” Captain Croaden whispered into the COM as he forwarded the message. “Incoming reinforcement; Lieutenant Isin along with Sergeant Grey and her fireteam. Continue to proceed to objective. Artillery is almost in place, will update when in position for support.”“Copy that Croad, Platoon halt and secure the line...” Foely spoke quietly and calm into the channel as he looked to the channels active. He found one not in use then opened it, connecting to Isin and Grey. “Lieutenant Isin, Sergeant Grey, it’s Foely. Hurry up, we don’t have time to wait for you. Come to coordinates eight-six-five by three-four-one. When near-by, I’ll give you a point to where I am. Come to me and follow me. I’ll update you on what’s happening when we get to the target. You got three minutes. Switch COM to channel Delta-Rodeo-Four. Foely out.” Foely cut the connection quickly and went back to his Platoons channel. “sergeant Roebuck?” Foely looked arouned for the Sergeant who was usually close by. “Yes Major?” The Woman poked her head up from only three metres away. When did she get so close? “Keep an eye out for our late arrivals. Let me know when they get close.” “Yes Major.” the Sergeant silently moved a few metres back with two of her team members and disappeared as she began to wait.

Sergeant Jason Bowers Delta Destroyers, 1st Platoon, Alpha Company Apoc-4 Crashsite - Search and Rescue Bower's was all alone in the crash-site his team were setting up a perimiter... Hopefully, Bowers looked from left to right after a few seconds he heard a brustle in the bushes, that brustle was followed by a Marine Pilot diving out of a bush face first, but before he face planted himself into the mud he recovered and picked himself up, Bowers just smirked and tried to hold in a luagh as he stood up and slowly approach the man with his weapon in hand. “You guys take forever... I thought the Innies were going to get me..." There was a small paused as the man gathered more words "...First Lieutenant Alex Farence, but my buddies in the sky call me ‘Famine’. Nice to see a friendly face.” Bowers nodded to the pilot before engaging Corporal Hunt through his helmet COM. "Claire... Bring the squad inward..." Bowers paused to turn off his end of the connection before approaching the man again and nodding once more. "... Welcome to Delta Famine... How does it feel to be on solid ground for once?" Bowers stopped to let out a small but quiet laugh before going on. "Eh... Innies are the least of your troubles mate... We're deep in the hostile zone for the Covenant." "Sir?" Claire said to Bowers as she approached, Alpha, Bravo and Charlie Fireteams gathering in around the crash-site, Bowers looked to Corporal Claire Hunt and nodded before reaching to another weapon strapped around her, he gripped the MA37 Assault Rifle and pulled it off from her before handing it to the Pilot, along with four ammo magazines. "Here you go Lieutenant... Keep that close... We best be getting out of here, stick with me and Fireteam Alpha and we'll be sure to get you home alive... Marines dont quit Ooh-rah" The last part of that sentance was really directed to the rest of his Squad / Fireteam's Bowers then turned to the rest of his fifteen or so men. "Alright... This is how it is going to be... Fireteam Alpha, which consists of me, Corporal Hunt and Winters along with Lieutenant Famine here will be designated a VIP Target, Fireteam Bravo lead by Corporal Speirs will be ahead of us by five meters, Fireteam Charlie lead by Corporal Thompson will fall in behind us by five meters, alright? Marines Don't Quit!" Bowers looked back to Farmine and nodded before moving out Fireteam Bravo had already formed up ahead of them in shield formation so Bowers just began to move out, his Fireteam in a file formation with Lieutenant Farmine hopefully next to him, Bowers looked back as Cassies fireteam formed up behind him, Bowers nodded before engaging ODST Sergeant Redsont with his helmet COM. "Sergeant Redsont this is Sergeant Bowers... We have the VIP Lieutenant Farmine, we advise you pull out and form up behind my Squad and give us extra support for the walk back home..."Bower's stopped momentarily to to cease communications between him and Redsont so he could hook up comunications with ODST Captain Lloyd and Marine Captain Lloyd and Major Foley which was practically the entire betallion. "ODST Captain Lloyd... This is Sergeant Bowers from ALPHA Company... We are in the hostile zone currently escorting a VIP... First Lieutenant Farmine back towards Phase Line Novemember... I repeat, you have friendlies in the hostile zone... We will alert you when we are approaching November"((Bowers and his team along with the VIP and Redsonts team if he post's are currently marching back to Phase Line November... My next post will be the approach of Phase Line Novemeber till told otherwise))

Kel paused for a moment, and took in her surroundings, relishing the peace and quiet of the forest. It always amazed her just how peaceful the day, or night, could be on Human worlds. On Covenant controlled world, everything was alive with the sounds and sights of battle preparations, or regular maintenance on a grand scale. And if those weren't the case, their peaceful night and days of guard duty were filled with a never-ending state of awareness under threat of death.
So Kel took the moment to enjoy her forested surroundings. The sounds of small insects chirping all around her. It was soothing, to say the least. But she knew it would never last.
Just as Kel began to rise, the grating sound of a high-pitched engine sounded off in the distance as its source entered the clearing. Kel froze for a moment. The devil of all their vehicles, named after a viscous animal of their home planet. The murderer of millions of Kig-Yar. Kel's blood turned to ice at the sight of it, before finally boiling over. Her eyes narrowed, and she lifted her sniper rifle into position.
The Warthog was making its way through the field from left to right, narrowly steering clear of a large rock. Their headlights, and the sound of bickering and warnings from the marines within were evidence enough if not the engine's sound.
"I'll have your heads, devil. Yours, and your brood." This foe was the only thing that could truly strike both fear, and rage into Kel's heart. She despised the devil so much, and with her sniper rifle in her hands, she was going to melt it down, and all its spawn within.

-Kag-
Kag crouched in the trees, he thought he had heard chittering of other Kig-Yar and thus he leaped down and sprinted towards the source. The Skirmisher came from the trees and threw himself onto the groud next to the teams female sniper, Kel.
"Where did you all go? I was beginning to think i was left to the Chimps."
-Lucy-
Lucy ran with Isin without saying a word, her Assault Rifle at the ready when Foley came on the COMM.
"Don't get your panties in a bunch Major, we're on the way."

Xet dashed out into the clearing, skidding through the dirt so as to stop right beside the Field General. His Honor Guard soon enteed the clearig with him, and they began to engage the pathetic humans as Xet adressed the other zealot,
"General, what are your orders? Shall I assault the compound directly, or have my forces harrass human reinforcements and cut off the base?"

Corporal James Beaufort ODST Special Operations Fireteam Raptor Phase Line November, 1k North of Greenland.
James took a moment to survey their position. They were effectively right smack in the middle of the forest, sitting in a trench that could just about fit all four of them, though Megan and Lenov were out on patrol currently. All around them, tall pines towered, blocking out a good deal of the sunlight. Supposedly, there were marine positions all along the line, though for all intents and purposes they were alone. His VSIR map showed friendly positions, and confirmed that they were nearby, but it felt to James that they were alone in the forest.
His comm crackled, and he saw that it was the other half of the fireteam, Megan and Lenov. "Talk to me,"he said. "Sir," Megan said,"No contacts, friendly or otherwise. Nothing but dense forest and bugs out here, over." James bit his lip. That was good...and bad. "All right, come on back Private. Out."
Leaning back against the rear wall of the trench, he gave Mcalister, crouched beside him, a reassuring pat on the shoulder. The man had to be worried. He had seen some combat before, but this was his first action as an ODST. And the truth was, within the private world of his polarized helmet, James was worried too.
This op was nothing like what they had trained for. Entrenching and holding a position was not their role, dammit. They were supposed to be offensive, dropping from orbit right onto the heads of the alien bastards. Or, he corrected himself, dropping in behind them and carrying out some good old fashioned sabotage. His thoughts wandered for a moment, back to a mission some months previously, where they had assassinated an Elite officer from long range.
Smiling, he was snapped out of his thoughts by the return of Megan and Lenov, both of them nodding as they dropped into the trench. Lenov took his helmet off and munched thoughtfully on a ration bar, staring off into the forest.
James felt more relived to have his full team back. He had felt...incomplete, with only half of his manpower with him. Casting a glance over his shoulder, making sure that the warthog they had ridden in on was still there, some hundred meters away, he keyed his comm in for the officer that they had talked to some time ago, Lloyd, he cast another glance around. "Captain Lloyd," he said, "We have secured our part of Phaseline November. Requesting Sitrep and further orders. Over."

Victor 126 Victor shrugged as Jethro entered the room, inquiring as to Silas's doings. "Hell if I know, I'm wanting to know that myself." He leaned in towards the screen, hoping to hear what was going on. Corporal Fisher They moved down the center, past the marines getting ready for trouble and towards November. Fisher kept his eyes open and tried to keep his guts from churning too much. This was what he'd signed up for, now it was time for him to pay. Now the bragging, the boasts, the parties, it all seemed to crumble around him as the looming threat of battle crept ever-closer. He pulled back his bolt half an inch, just to assure himself he was indeed ready to fire. The bronze glare of the brass and lead reassured him, if only slightly. He took a deep breath, exhaled sharply, and stalked ever-onward.

Captain Travis 'TJ' Jenkins Task Force 77, Able Company City Gates; En-Route to PL November
Captain Jenkins sat in the passenger seat of a transport variant Warthog just passing through the city gate outside the city, a few minutes passed before the forward Warthog had to stop because there was no more room to proceed furthur into the forrest, where they had stopped there was a large series of other Warthog's where other Captains had left and proceeded furthur into the forrest on foot with their Company's, Jenkins hauled himself out of the Warthog he was in and retreived his MA37 Individual Combat Weapon System, which was the weapon he decided to use, infact he always used this weapon, once he was ready he began to address his Company through TEAMCOM.
"Alright... Dismount and ready to proceed to Phase Line November on foot, we are going to be moving in right behind Captain Sierra Lloyd, once locations on their platoon's have been noted I want second platoon to form up on the forward flank, first on the left and third on the right... Stand-by for furthur orders, Sergeant Stacker with me"
Jenkins looked around and watched as his Company organized itself and began to move out, First Sergeant Stacker, the companys first sergeant formed up with Captain Jenkins, Jenkins then decided to engage Sierra Lloyd in TEAMCOM.
"Captain Lloyd... This is Marine Captain Jenkins moving in with Able Company... I am currently moving to your position, what is the location of all three of your platoon's so I can send mine in to reinforce your's if you have gaps in your perimiter my men will be quick to fill them up... Over?"
Once Jenkins was done speaking to Lloyd he turned to Stacker.
"Stacker you will accompany to Captain Lloyd, from there we will establish a forward HQ"
"Yes Sir"

Redsont and his men returned to thier warthogs while the marines ecorted the pilot. They hopped into the vehicles and began to return to the pilot when Desmond held out the switch. "On your mark?", Desmond asked. "Hit it now.", Redsont said as he flipped the mic, "All eyes southward, the fireworks begin." With that, Desmond triggered the C-7 causing most of the forest to vanish in debris and flame. It swept from the east side of the forest and slwoly began to crawl to the west side, eventually it would become one massive wall of fire. The end result was a massive shockwave and an inferno where the forest once was. Any covenant that got through were cut off, any that were inside were eradicated, and the rest were stopped dead. "Hell of a fire show if I do say so myself.", Pat laughed. "Now let's get to making some real defenses to keep these bastards out!", Fred shouted. (OOC: Big ****ing kaboom means the covies are screwwed! )

Lieutenant Jack O'Reilly UNSC Navy Pelican Pilot Over Apoc-4 Crashsite
Hearing the radio report that the pilot had been found, Jack smiled. Awesome. He opened a COM channel up to Bowers, who apparently was escorting him back.
"Sergeant, if you get into a clearing where I can set my Pelican down, call me in and I'll take you boys out and away."
He momentarily switched opened a COM channel to command.
"Lieutenant Jack O'Reilly to Command. Command, Apoc-4 has been recovered. Marine Sergeant Bowers is escorting him to a clearing so I can pick him up for transport. Over."
Staff Sergeant Nathaniel Wheeler UNSC Marine Corps Squad Leader Phase Line November
Nathaniel had tried to keep his squad together during the fighting, but the three fireteams had seperated. Nate and his three cohorts had taken a Hog and headed to the other side of Sheffield. From what he understood, Martinez had taken her team to Glasgow, and Gonzalez had taken his to Bracknell. He had radioed ahead to find Martinez holding a squad-sized position open in First Platoon's section of the line while the other two fireteams extracted themselves from wherever they had been and headed to Glasgow.
Nate knew that Mark had floored it, dodging through civvie cars as fast as he could. Still, it had taken them a while to get there.
He dashed up to just behind the positions, his fireteam members stopping with him. He turned.
"Mark, Bill, the two of you take the position at the left center. Alyce, take the right center. I'll join you in a second. Clear lanes of fire and dig in. We may be here for a while."
The three Marines nodded. Nate headed over to Martinez.
"Kristy, have your half of your fireteam occupy the position farthest to the right. Put the other half on the far left until Gonzalez and his team arrives. They can take over the two left positions. Clear lanes of fire and dig in. I don't know how long we'll be here."
She nodded and started passing the orders along to her team as Nate headed to the position he was going to share with Alyce. He came up to the position to find her clearing pieces of brush in front of their position so that they could see what they were shooting at. He set his pack down and took up a position to provide security while she worked.

Lance Corporal James Beaufort Fireteam Raptor, ODST Specops. Phase Line November
James was getting tired of waiting for this Captain to get back to him. After several minutes of pressing his hand against his helmet in an effort to hear any faint signals, he gave up, closed the connection, and turned to Lenov, reaching for one of the ration bars next to-
A flash of yellow light... silhouetted against the trees...after a moment, a deafening bang...
The next thing James knew, he was out of the trench...several feet behind it....on his back.
Standing on shaky knees, he looked around, and noticed that while his suit confirmed no breaches....he had a terrible headache. Splitting. It clouded his vision. But military training kicked in after a few moments. "St....status report!" he demanded of his team. Three lights winked in his visor, though they took a moment longer than normal to do so.
Looking up and around, James was almost sorry that he did so. The forest was....on fire? Activating a map of the area in his VSIR, he examined the real time imagery for only a moment before shouting out.
"Back to the 'Hog, Now!"
He waited for the three heartbeats that it took his startled team to turn and run before wheeling around himself and sprinting for the Warthog.
The map had shown an area of devastation, and a rapidly expanding ring of flames, engulfing the forest. By his reckoning, they had maybe a minute before it was on their position.
And it was dangerously close to the line that marked November already.
The group reached the Warthog at around the same time, and Lenov jumped into the driver's seat, with James beside while Megan and Mcalister piled into the back. "GO GO GO!!!" James shouted as Lenov ignited the engine and slammed his foot to the floor.
James had to brace himself against the framework of the vehicle as it skidded along the narrow path that they had used to get down here in the first place. Making the mistake of turning to look behind them, he saw a wall of fire and smoke engulf the area around the trench they had just inhabited. But, for a miracle, they seemed to be outdistancing the fire. "Keep going, take us to Greenland!" he ordered before taking a moment to activate his comms.
The Captain that had seemingly assumed command over them had been less than talkative before, so he triggered the MILCOM channel for all UNSC forces in the area.
Before he could speak, it hit him. Turning again, he watched the now more distant flames for a moment. There was no tinge of blue. No purple. Plasma bombardment would have at least had a hint of, well, plasma.
Clicking the comm on, he cleared his throat. "This is Lance Corporal Beaufort, Phase line November is breached, I say again, breached. Suspected friendly fire, repeat, Possible Blue-on-Blue. Command, please respond."
They reached the edge of the forest, and kept going.

Sergeant Jason Bowers Delta Destroyers, 1st Platoon, Alpha Company VIP Extraction, Lieutenant Farmine
Bowers trudged through the thick mud and some hard dirt, the terrain was constantly changing from thick mud to dry spot's all the time, and the team had kept splitting their perimiter due to the fact that the tree's were so close together, Bowers let out a yawn and sighed before there was a huge flash of light emitting from behind them, Bowers turned around just in time to see the huge light that just about competed with the sun, it bled through the tree's like sun over the water, and a seconds later Bowers found himself on his back, in a pool of mud, his vision was blurred and he had a spliting head ache, he hauled himself up onto his hand's and knee's before entirely picking himself up after a good few seconds, he looked at the approaching wave of flames that slowly bled to their position.
"Holy shit... DELTA! GO GO GO, RUN DOUBLE TIME!" Bowers turned as soon as he finished screaming into his helmet COM that was always open to his team, he then began to run through the tree's and had enough time to listen to someone screaming over the radio to the entire Task Force.
"This is Lance Corporal Beaufort, Phase line November is breached, I say again, breached. Suspected friendly fire, repeat, Possible Blue-on-Blue. Command, please respond."
After a few seconds Bowers opened up the connection to the entire Task Force aswell and began to scream into it.
"Command! This is Sergeant Bowers, my team is currently retreating out of the hostile zone, we are still in range in whatever you idiots just did, we need imidate extraction, I reapeat we need IMIDATE EXTRACTION!"
As Bowers continued to run with his fifteen man or so team, he noticed that they are approaching a clearing, this was good, they could call in an extraction Pelican, specificly the one that was orbiting them now, and it had to be fast, the approaching flames was atleast two or so minutes behind, Bowers opened the connection just as they approaching the treeline.
"Lieutenant O'Reilly! This is Sergeant Bowers... We need imidate extraction now! Get your bird down to the deck as fast as you can, marking position on your HUD now, HURRY!"
Bowers and his team breached the treeline and ran into the middle of the clearing atleast half a mile or so from Phase Line November, and they could not make the rest of the trip on foot, Bowers crouched down and looked around, his team was doing the same, securing the area and taking cover behind anything they could find, Bowers looked around for Farmine for a few seconds before spotting him, good he was still around.

Major Domo Legra 'Adantee
The skirmish in the forest had been rough, that much was obvious.
Scattered patterns of shallow wounds and scratches in armor marked fresh combat in the warriors' appearance.
Legra now stood amidst the whole of his warband, his feet on the grassy turf of a high escarpment, with the Humans' stronghold within his view. It buzzed with life, infantry and vehicles kicking up a miasma of dust and detritus. Vigilant tower-guns and sentries shouted silent challenges to the warriors.
Beside him stood his myriad allies, Nyla, the mysterious Spec Ops Assassin, his own lance beside him, Til, his good friend from the Hunt on Templar's Rest, standing tall and scarred in his newly-broken-in Major's armor, with his own lance and smattering of Kig-Yar behind him.
Legra raised his head, and caught sight of movement on the field between the Human's fort and the forest edge, where they were now standing. Fast vehicles ran between larger ones. Humans were come to battle.
"To battle!"
OOC: Engage humans. Have fun!

Til cracking his neck, still recovering from being buried under a tomb of trees, and wavered his claws over his nearly-depleted plasma rifles. His armor was scruffed and scarred from the skirmish and he lost most of his newly-recruited Unggoy. He thought of how to avenge them.
The possibilities was large and all spine-tingling.
Then he, along with the other Sangheili commanders, saw the human forces fighting off with a Covenant legion.
A opportunity to test out his vengeance choices.
[yellow] To battle![/yellow] Legra roared and Til roared in agreement.
[orange]"To battle for the honor of the Covenant and our fallen brothers!"[/orange] Til followed suite as he threw a fist into the air with his energy dagger blazing.

Major Kig-Yar Skirmisher Tal
Tal moved away from the cover of the tree with his hand covering the wounded area, he tried to ignore the pain. He was angered with himself about his foolish act of running into the line of fire, he tried his best to forget about it, but the searing pain in his shoulder wouldn’t allow it. He signaled his lance to lower their weapons and move to his position since the battle was now over.
He was glad to see his troops were intact, he wished the same could be said for himself though. He now had to rethink all his strategies since he was now at a disadvantage.
He called for Lop and changed his main objective to support him in the next battle since Tal knew how loyal he was and that he would do his best not to fail him.
Tal heard the Sangheilis’ battle cry and shifted his attention towards them. He was not ready for another battle so soon, but he sprinted toward them and commanded his soldiers to follow. He did not know what exactly he was going up against (besides humans) just yet, but he was ready for anything.
Jup and Kug sprang back into the trees and followed from there having their weapons ready in hand while jumping from tree to tree.

Lieutenant Jack O'Reilly UNSC Navy Pelican Pilot Over SGT Bowers
Jack glanced down as he spotted a flicker of orange.
"Oh holy shit!!" he yelled as he saw the explosions, the shockwaves buffeting his Pelican. He fought to bring his aircraft under control and quickly succeeded. Almost immediately after, his radio exploded with static as Bowers contacted him.
"Lieutenant O'Reilly! This is Sergeant Bowers... We need imidate extraction now! Get your bird down to the deck as fast as you can, marking position on your HUD now, HURRY!"
Jack saw the NAV marker and shoved the nose of the Pelican down towards the clearing, pulling it up just as he landed.
"R.J., you have it!"
"I have it, LT!"
Jack unbuckled his restraint and leapt up. He headed back to the troop compartment as Ski slapped the control to open the hatch. Jack moved to the seat on the end and held on to the wall. As the hatch clanged against the ground. Jack waved for the troops to get on, yelling at the same time.
"Let's go, Marines! Get your asses on the bird!"

(OOC: Able Company? Really? Why do we have two A companies? :P) Captain Sierra Lloyd As usual, Sierra was getting inundated with reports from several sources at once. This time, it was coming from their air support. "Captain Lloyd... This is Captain Rodriguez from Scorpion Squadron, letting you know we are ready and armed with ANVIL-II ASM Pods for close air-support if needed, we are also on station to perform casevacs, we can also transport troops if neccessary... Over?""Read you loud and clear, Rodriguez. Thanks for having our backs in the skies. I'll let you know when you're needed." By the looks of things so far, that would probably be sooner rather than later. "Lloyd out." It was just a few moments later that the COM crackled again. Captain Lloyd could see from the FOF tags on her HUD that another company of Marines was moving in behind them. "Captain Lloyd... This is Marine Captain Jenkins moving in with Able Company... I am currently moving to your position, what is the location of all three of your platoon's so I can send mine in to reinforce your's if you have gaps in your perimiter my men will be quick to fill them up... Over?""Glad to have more back-up, Jenkins. I'm currently on the right flank of November with first platoon of Alpha Company, along with some elements of third bringing in the big guns. My second platoon, heavy weapons detachment, and the rest of third is covering the long flank on the left. A platoon of ODSTs are ahead of us at the 'V' of the line. If you could reinforce each spot with one of your platoons, I'd be much obliged, Captain." Captain Dylan Lloyd "ODST Captain Lloyd... This is Sergeant Bowers from ALPHA Company... We are in the hostile zone currently escorting a VIP... First Lieutenant Farmine back towards Phase Line Novemember... I repeat, you have friendlies in the hostile zone... We will alert you when we are approaching November."While keeping his eyes out ahead for any Covies, Dylan keyed the COM to reply, "Acknowledged, Sergeant. You're clear to approach and move through." At the same time, Lloyd found he was getting a hail from a team of his ODSTs as well, but for some reason the connection was never clear enough for the Helljumper captain to make out the words. He was attempting a response when the ground suddenly shook and a wave of heat passed through the lines. He ducked over his weapon out of reflex, even though little of the debris that fell was close enough to injure anyone on his lines. "The hell was that!" Dylan barked over the general channel once he'd straightened. Staff Sergeant Fedder answered promptly. "Friendly attack, sir. That other ODST squad in the forest just...blew it up." "Goddamn," Lloyd spat. "I knew they had the area rigged, but I didn't think they'd be dumb enough to do it with friendlies still out there. I want a status report, now!" "Working on it, sir." In the meantime, the fireteam that had been trying to hail the captain earlier finally got through. "This is Lance Corporal Beaufort, Phase line November is breached, I say again, breached. Suspected friendly fire, repeat, Possible Blue-on-Blue. Command, please respond.""Beaufort, this is Captain Lloyd. I heard that explosion. What's your fireteam's current status? You all okay?" Corporal Cassie Thompson Cassie's ears were ringing when she blinked open her eyes after the blast. One second they'd finally found the pilot, the next they'd been nearly engulfed in flames. How quickly things changed. Deep breaths, the corporal told herself. Just take in some deep breaths to get your bearings again...But that was surprisingly harder to do than it should have been. When Cassie tried to get up, she realized her left leg was bleeding. Some shrapnel from the trees nearby had embedded itself in her limb. The pain intensified when she attempted to get up, and she let out a low moan of pain as she tried again, reaching for her helmet with her hand this time. She hailed Sergeant Bowers. "S-Sarge? I...I think I'm hit."

COVENANT UPDATE Time: 345 About half a mile from Greenland. The Field General growled low in his throat as he watched his Legion move. His Honor guard stood ready with their weapons in hand, but remained silent and vigilant. The humans were ready, but would be no match for them. The General caught sight of movement as one of his Special-Operations emerged; Xet it seemed. The General listened for his question before looking towards the base. Suddenly, to the right, a massive ball of flame roared and shook the ground as the blast swallowed the wide area. Rundimee couldn’t help but laugh to himself. “Xet, take your team and slaughter those fools... Support will come in once you find them and we will raise their heads like trophies. Once that is complete, cut off the supply line...” Rundimee nodded to the Special Operation Zealot before looking to his own Guard. The Warriors all nodded as the Zealot spoke to the field. “All Warriors of the Journey! Attack the base and eliminate it! Kill any human in your way! Let us finally begin the siege of this planet!!” Suddenly, a massive cluster of Wraith motor-fire arched out of the air, slamming into the walls and insides of the Human Outpost (Greenland), and a large number of Covenant forces emerged from the area around, turning the area from a quiet forest area, to a deadly war-zone, “The rest of you not assaulting! Secure the area around the base! No one gets out alive! Cut off their supply line!” Rundimee looked towards Xet as he finished. “Go now, this should give you enough of a distraction. After you’ve dealt with the fools that set off the explosion, side-step the humans and go right for the city. Send me information on anything you find. We will handle the supply-line. Go, the Prophets will not wait.” Rundimee gripped his blads, activating them and his cloak as he and his team moved towards the base. [END COVENANT UPDATE] * * * * * * * * * * UNSC UPDATE Time: 335. UNSC Command Center in BracknellGeneral Tullings slammed his fist onto the table and snarled... They finally showed themselves. “Where are my god-damned soldiers?!” The General yelled through the room, his voice booming angrily over the constant chatter. “Most of the teams are still at November sir!” A Lieutenant just a little away from the General, stood so the Commander could hear. “What the Fuck are they doing?! Playing with each other’s dicks?! I WANT MY fucking MARINES AT GREENLAND ASAP!” The General yelled at the Lieutenant who flinched a little. “Yes, sir!” The Lieutenant sat down and sent a message to the Task-Force. “All soldiers are to move to Greenland as soon as possible. Terrain is to difficult for vehicles, move on foot and fast. General not happy.”“Oh yea, so much for best of the best.” The General turned and looked from the holo-table to the overhead-map. “Where’s our air support?” Tullings calmed a little as he looked at the map; Covenant seemed to be everywhere now... Some were even spotted past October. So much for securing a line. “Apoc-4 has been recovered and will be back here shortly. The others are keeping air-superiority and aiding Greenland as much as possible.” Another Lieutenant called from the back of the room. “And our artillery?” “Artillery is almost out of the city. They will be set in another 20 minutes. We’ve got observers and vehicles securing the zone for them.” “Good. At least something is going right... What the hell is ONI doing?” Tullings gripped his hands together as the words came out of his mouth. “Lieutenant Isin and Sergeant Grey have been taken off the grid sir. Either they are KIA, AWOL, or ONI has sent them somewhere.” As one of the Lieutenants spoke, Tullings almost punched the wall out of pure anger. Why don’t they just take his whole damn fighting force?! “We cannot lose Greenlan. I want the Artillery up in 10 minutes, not 20. Tell the Marines to start calling in airstrik-” “SIR! MASSIVE EXPLOSION NEAR WHERE APOC-4 WENT DOWN! Seems to be Sergeant Redsont and his team sir!” A Sergeant that sat at a computer to the far left stood in fright and looked up to his General, who looked as if he might throw the holo-table at him. “Who... the Fuck... gave that ORDER?!” “No one sir! He did it of his own accord!” “Casualties?!” The General turned and glared at the Sergeant who shook in fear. “N-none s-so far sir!” The Sergeant gripped the table to stabilize himself. “Order that man to get his ass back! He’s on guard duty for our Artillery! The Fuck are they doing out there?!” The General growled as the Sergeant quickly send the message to Redsont. “Sergeant Redsont, new orders. Return to Glasgow. Support Artillery. Direct order from General Tullings.” The Sergeant sighed in relief and slumped in his chair a little. “God damn! I could bring the Navy down here and at least they might listen! Send the order AGAIN! SECURE fucking October and get to Greenland!”Following the order, everyone in the room responded with a ‘Yes sir!’ as they sent out the message for the Task Force to fend off the Covenant. They had failed to secure October in time, and very few were even at November... This fight just got a whole lot more difficult for the UNSC as the Covenant siege on Greenland flared in the darkness... The true battle had finally begun. [END UNSC UPDATE] * * * * * * * * * *
First Lieutenant Alexander 'Famine' Farence. Being extracted from the forest. |
[/color] Alex huffed and puffed as they finally reached the clearing. Safety was almost here, and as the pelican came down, his heart fell from his throat. One of the fattest, yet best Transport vehicles was here. What a freaking blessing... He trudged through the mud, almost dragging his feet as he holstered his rifle. With a tired step, the fighter pilot hopped into the back of the pelican. He picked one of the middle most-chairs and strapped himself in, almost falling over as he sat. “It’s good to see you guys... and be back in something that flies...” Alex sighed and closed his eyes in fatigue. “Hey, uh... O’Rielly?” Alex looked over to the Lieutenant and raised his voice some so the man could hear. “Mind letting one, Major Dillinger, know that I’m not dead? his call-sign is ‘Conquest’, he’s my flight lead. Should be on the wide-area channel. Not sure though.. I never really pay attention to the channels anymore.” Alex smiled to the other Lieutenant as he finally finished. “And tell him I’ll be back up when I get back to the city.”

Sergeant Jason Bowers Delta Destroyers, 1st Platoon, Alpha Company VIP Extraction, Lieutenant Farmine
Bowers watched as the Pelican commanded by O'Reilly made it's way down to the surface, he watched as the rear hatched opened up and a man came to the door.
"Let's go, Marines! Get your asses on the bird!"
Presumably that was Lieutenant O'Reilly, Bowers watched as all his men climbed up onto the back of the Pelican, he looked at everyone just to make sure that they were all here, but just as he was going to board he heard a call of his helmet COM, the signal was weak but Bowers turned up the volume to maximum, it was Corporal Thompson, Bowers turned back, this was the choice that every commander had to make, save your men and lose one, or go back, Bowers turned back in a second and looked at the pilot.
"Hold the bird on the ground for as long as you can, I need to go back, Claire with me."
Claire jumped off the Pelican and stood next to Bowers for a second before another Corporal on the Pelican began to speak specificly Bower's best friend, Winters.
"Are you kidding Sir? That's insane."
"Marine's Don't Quit Winters..." Without stopping he imidatley changed his point of view to speak to the Pilot. "...Now keep this bird down for as long as you can!"
After Bowers said that he turned around and began to run back with Claire at his side, the pair of them running faster than they did trying to escape from the flames, but the flames were still a good minute or two away, so they had enough time to run back, grab a Marine and run back again, hopefully, Bowers watched on his Eye Monoclue as Corporal Thompson's marker drew closer and closer, even though it was a few seconds into the forest the forest was already sort of covered in ash, and the flames were approaching fast, Bowers made it to Cassie's location and he looked around for a moment before noticing the wounded Marine on the ground, it was Thompson, Bowers knelt down and heaved the Marine up.
"C'mon Thompson..." He grunted only slightly as he heaved the marine up to her feet, slinging one arm around his shoulder, gripping that with his left arm, he used his right arm to hold her steady by putting it around her waist, Corporal Claire Hunt did the same, slinging her left arm around Thompson's waist and Thompson's right arm over her shoulder, Bowers then finished off what he was saying. "We gotta' get you outta' here..." Bowers paused to key communication with Pelican Pilot O'Reilly "O'Reilly we are heading back now, prepare for a quick take off"
Bowers slowly began to pace off, Claire moving at the same pace as himself, once they got in synch with eachother and Thompson they began to race back to the Pelican as fast as the possibly good, not exactly running fast, but not jogging either. "Hang in there Cassie... We'll get out fine" Bowers reassured the injured Marine, as he ran Claire was looking down and assessed her damage. "She's got a wounded limb, left one, i'll treat it on the pelican"
Captain Travis 'TJ' Jenkins Task Force 77, Able Company Currently at; PL November
“All soldiers are to move to Greenland as soon as possible. Terrain is to difficult for vehicles, move on foot and fast. General not happy.”
That is all Jenkins heard after Captain Lloyd finished her transmission, this was great, instead of defending Phase Line November they were to attack the enemy at Greenland which was a 'fucking' suicide mission, the UNSC had a better chance in defending Phase Line November if you asked Jenkins, Jenkins sighed and hooked up a private COM between himself and Captain Lloyd, but before he spoke to her he linked up with the General of Bracknell Command.
"General Tulling's this is Captain Jenkins of Able Company, I understand your frustration but I do beleive you would be giving the Covenant the tactical advantage if we are to assault them, as we all know they have superior firepower and by the time we arrive at GREENLAND they would most probably hold the tactical advantage of holding GREENLAND, and after the pyro-technic's display I just witnessed are you sure you want to send all your marines through that, there is probably little to no cover now and they could ambush us on the apposing tree-line if they have not finished GREENLAND by the time we get there, I urge you to re-think your combat strategy and consider reinforcing PL November till the Covenant Arrive"
Bowers then ceased his connection between himself and the General so as to speak through his private COM with Captain Sierra Lloyd.
"Captain... What is your diagnosis on the current situation? If you proceed to GREENLAND, how do you plan on doing so, might I recommend a quick and surprise attack? Bring both our heavy weapons platoon's in on the left and right flank to catch the enemy in a cross-fire, and bring our lighter platoon's down the middle for the main assault? I can assure you by the time we get there the Covenant will probably have tactical control of GREENLAND, But to be honest Captain i'd rather not leave this position at all..." Jenkins paused for a moment and saw on his specially designed combat glass' which acted as a HUD Lloyd was just a few meters away now. "...Be aware I am approaching you by your six, ten meters" Jenkins shut off the COM, and when close enough stepped beside Lloyd, ALPHA Company's commander with, First Sergeant Stacker half a meter behind the two of them.
Jenkins leaned down to secure his TACPAD from the left pocket of his marine BDU Cargo pant's as he did so he tapped it to life and entered a pass-code before proceeding to bring up the tactical battle rating for Sierra's ALPHA Company.

Major Domo Legra 'Adantee
Legra raised his Focus Rifle again--again it bucked once against his shoulder, and another unfortunate human collapsed to the ground, flying off from the gunnery perch where he had been laying a torrent of bullets toward Legra and his lances.
The Warthogs were rushing toward them now--on open ground they were dead meat. At the same time, returning to the forest would be against orders--not to mention cowardly.
There were about three Warthogs currently rushing against them--one was lacking a gunner, another lacking a grenadier. They were being picked off, but not fast enough to prevent them from massacring his warriors in one fell swoop.
There was nothing for it. They were going to have to pull a Holy Cleansing.
"Holy flares!" Legra bellowed, reaching for his Plasma Grenades.
A Holy Cleansing was a fairly simple tactic; hurl your grenades someplace between you and your enemy and hope to the gods that the explosions destroyed or deterred them.
He threw his grenades.
OOC: Everybody, start throwing grenades.

Kel dropped her rifle and brought her plasma pistol to bear, charging it up mere inches from Kag's head. "Kag..." She looked him over, and lowered her pistol, dropping its charge to zero. She picked up her rifle and scanned the field again. "You cost me my vengeance. You let the devil escape." She glared sideways at him.
"Zuk, get over here. We need to discuss what we're going to do."

Special Operations assassin Nyla Katolai
Nyla, blades active, sliced through a human's torso, cauterizing the halves instantly as they separated. His surpised fireteam began to fire blindly, and one found himself lifted up into the air, struggling as the twin prongs of Nyla's holy weapon slid through his armor and out the other side. A third, this time female, managed to take down Nyla's camouflage with a well placed bullet, only to recieve a blow to the throat from Nyla's energy dagger tha sliced it clean out. The surprised woman grasped her throat, and a kick to the chest sent her flying, Never to draw breath again.
The last member drew a combat knife, but Nyla grabbed his wrist, lifting him off the ground, before reaching for his neck. Suddenly, the roar of a warthog sounded
"Holy flares!" he heard Legra call, and two of the three soon detonated in flashes of light. The third, now picking up speed, still charged at Legra's lance, and its gunner revved his weapon. Acting quickly, Nyla stepped forwards, hurling the still living human into the oncoming warthog. He screamed as he flew, and the warthog swerved to avoid him. It smashed into a nearby tree, detonating in a flash of light. Nyla quikly rushed forwards to finish the wounded human he had thrown, stomping its head into the dirt, before turning back to legra
Skirmisher Ultra Xet
Xet saluted, before giving a roar of satisfaction. Several lances of skirmishers moved up beside him, along with his own honopr guard. activating his shield gauntlet, Xet rushed forwards, a blur at over a hundred miles an hour. Energy dagger active, the first human Xet encountered didn't know what hit him, and crumpled to the ground, head rolling several feet to the side. This would be fun. Now, to find the heretics that has angered his superior...

Jack reached down to his cargo pocket as his TACPAD beeped. He pulled it out and tapped in a passcode, revealing the message from Command.
“All soldiers are to move to Greenland as soon as possible. Terrain is to difficult for vehicles, move on foot and fast. General not happy.”
“Hey, uh... O’Rielly?” Alex looked over to the Lieutenant and raised his voice some so the man could hear.
"Hmm?" Jack looked over to the fellow pilot.
"Got it."
Jack headed up to the cockpit and plugged back into the Pelican's systems. He activated the radio.
"Leprechaun calling Conquest, Leprechaun calling Conquest. Be advised, Lieutenant Farence has been recovered and is A-okay. He requests that I inform you that he will be back in the air as soon as possible. Leprechaun out."
Jack returned to the troop bay only for the Marine Sergeant to yell at him.
"...Now keep this bird down for as long as you can!"
Jack nodded and turned to Ski, borrowing his plug for the ship's systems.
"R.J., keep her on the ground for now. One of Bowers' men is down and he's gone to retrieve him."
"O'Reilly we are heading back now, prepare for a quick take off"
"10-4."
Jack switched COM channels to the PA.
"RJ, get her light. We're gonna bust outta here to Greenland like a demon outta hell. Also inform Greenland to have a medical unit meet us at the pad, we have a casualty of unknown severity inbound with us."
"Copy, LT."

Stomping a human under his boot, he felt its bones cave in, Til clicked his lower tusks, and snarled. "Throw grenades!" Legra's voice ordered and he grabbed one of his few grenade, "You heard him! Cleanse this field of our holy fire!" He ordered to his subordinates, pressing the glyph on the grenade, causing it burn blue fire, and thrown it onto one of the incoming vehicles, followed by several other grenades.
The burning grenades sticked to the multiple vehicles, each having devastating effects on them. One of the burning vehicle flipped over in flames, and landed infront of Til.
He only laugh at the destruction of his enemies. The fanatic within yearned for more death to the Humans but another side of him, the noble hunter, pitied the creatures.
"Mentor, watch out!" Skor screamed over the throes of death and chaos. Seeing nothing on his good side, Til's head barely turned to see the speeding vehicle coming his way.
With quick experienced reflexes, Til bounced and somersualted off the burning vehicle, and pulled his spear from his back as the offending vehicle missed its mark.
In the quickness of a second, Til grabbed the humans' gunner as it tried vainly to hang on to its turret as the much larger and heavier Sangheili nearly broke it in two when he grabbed its back to catch him.
Fighting against the strong momentum of the vehicle's speeding, Til thrusted his spear into the human's back.
The human beside the driver turned to see it comrade killed by the terrifying Sangheili and aimed its assault weapon at him.
Roaring, Til thrown the carcass aside, and kicked the weapon into the human's face when it brought it up to aim, crushing its skull. The driver performed a sharp turn to try to throw Til off but he grabbed the turret to steady himself.
Snarling nastily, Til unholstered his plasma rifle, aimed at the fool's head, and fired.
The plasma burned through the glass, leaving nothing from the shoulders up, and the Major Domo jumped off. Tumbling, he landing on his feet, and watched as the vehicle wavered and crashed into the trees.
"Incredible work, mentor!" Skor praised in awe. Til huffed in pride and limped abit, but shake it off, before rejoining the others.

Chieftain Hectus Teruines "Valerius! Move up!" Hectus roared with glee as he watched his pack move.He would wait till the blood was flowing before he allowed himself the pleasure of the fight, he was ,after all, leading the brute forces on this glorious slaughter. He held his guard close and sent his men in two creches led by each captain, which were then divided into three lances, then pair two of the minor lances together.. each lance would attack different parts of the city and sweep inward until they met at the middle after they had established control. Hectus stood off to the left of the field general, ignoring him as best he could without directly insulting, or going against, his command. He did not enjoy being under command of the general and especially did not enjoy him being on the field with Hectus. The elites tended to make stupid decisions when their "honor" was at stake and that put his pack in danger and he did not enjoy that what so ever. Hectus ran strategies through his head on how they could continue the assault once they had this as a hard point. His thoguhts were cut short by a sudden blast, he couldnt keep the smile from his face. The game begins...

Sergeant Jason Bowers Delta Destroyers, 1st Platoon, Alpha Company Retreiving wounded Marine; Marines Don't Quit
Bowers ran as fast as he could holding Corporal Thompson by the left side, with the help of Corporal Hunt on the right hand side, they were almost at the Pelican they were at earlier, it was about ten meter's away and Bower's just punched through the tree-line with Thompson and Hunt, Bowers looked to Claire and gestured with his head to the Pelican.
"Get on board!"
"Roger that"
As Bowers said that five meters away from the Pelican Claire let go of Thompson and Bowers scooped her up, one hand supporting her back the other holding her under her leg's, he slowed down and handed her up to two marine Private's once he was close enough, the two Privates then seated her down at the far end of the Pelican where it is relatively safer from gun-fire, Bowers hauled himself in with the help of Corporal Hunt, Bowers hauled up and tapped Thompson on the shoulder as he moved up to the cockpit.
"Hang in there Marine"
Once he made it to the cockpit he leaned in to speak to the pilot / co-pilot.
"Hey... Can you take us back to the city gates?"
Private Dean Cox Task Force 77 Setting up Sniper Position
Dean lied down on the smalle hill he was ment to be setting up on with Jackson, he hauled his Sniper Rifle System 99 Anti-Matériel forward and looked forward, he did not have much of a view here so it was not much of a sniping position due to the large amount of tree's in the area, he turned to Jackson.
"So... How we going to do this when there are shit loads of tree's infront of us?"
He sighed to himself before facing forward again and looking down the scope of his Sniper Rifle System 99 Anti-Matériel trying to atleast target something of Covenant origin.

Lieutenant Jack O'Reilly UNSC Navy Extracting UNSC forces to Greenland
As soon as Jack had seen Bowers emerging from the treeline with his wounded Marine, he had headed back up to the cockpit and strapped in, leaving orders for Ski to click his acknowledgement light and shut the hatch as soon as they were aboard.
As soon as Ski's acknowledgement light flashed green, Jack took the Pelican straight up. He then handed it over to R.J., telling him to get them to Greenland ASAP.
"Hey... Can you take us back to the city gates?"
Jack looked back to Bowers, who was standing in the doorway between the cockpit and troop bay.
"Negative, Sergeant. We're heading to Greenland. While you were rescuing your Marine, Command sent a message to the entire Task Force. All forces are to head to Greenland and engage the Covenant there. I'll be dropping you and yours off at Greenland, then heading back to the city to drop off Lieutenant Farence. Also, they'll be medics waiting at the pad."
