Well I have this project where I have to write a bunch of poems (and make twenty lined summaries for all of mine plus ten others) and thought I might as well put the poems up here. We also get extra credit for all our poems having a theme so I chose emotions. Feel free to give feedback.
Hatred Cinquain:
Hatred
Evil common
Spreading sparking lasting
Disposition rage frustration annoyance
Anger
Love Cinquain:
Love
Giant Powerful
Controlling consuming blinding
Caring pleasurable happiness enjoyable
Infatuation
Hapiness Haiku:
There is a certain
Type of joy commonly known
Which is happiness
Sadness Haiku:
Consuming us all
There is no hiding from it
This force is sadness
Hope Acrostic:
Happiness is always achievable
Only pessimism is irreversible
People need to look on the brighter side of things
Especially never think negatively
Fear Acrostic:
Frightening events occur regularly
Even the scariest entities come to us
Always be ready for anything
Reveries sometimes even turn into terrible nightmares
Energy Limerick:
Timmy was a very excited boy
Ever since he got his new toy
He repeatedly bounced off the wall
Similar to his new ball
Oh yes he was expressing much joy
Calmness Limerick:
Tom was always very calm
One day what sat in his palm
Was a very small nuke
It didn’t even give him the slightest spook
But then there was no more Tom.
Bored Sonnet:
I don’t feel slightly eccentric
There is nothing I want to do
I can’t play with my friend Nick
As I listen to my family’s cow go moo
Suddenly I have a thought
But goes away as quickly as found
I watch my mom pull into the lot
While the car makes a loud sound
Yes I’m quite uninterested indeed
I can’t pretend to fight with a sword
I have no people to lead
So I cannot be a fine lord
I quietly watch my bull
Life feels quite dull
Insanity Narrative:
Since one day I awoke in my bed
There’s been a feeling in my head
It began as a spark
But now it is as loud as a bark
This feeling is as strong as lead
As I walk across this path previously tread
A lean against a tree’s bark
Inside this lonely park
This feeling was originally just a shred
But now It’s is well-fed
I see a man named Clark
But suddenly have a bloodlust like a shark
I feel I must run ahead
And bash him with a spearhead
Everything goes dark
As a carve in a deep mark
I realize I have started my bloodshed
As I continue killing the city-bred
That was the end of dear Clark
And now it is time to disembark
Next on my list is a man named Ned
He had just become newly wed
To a girl named Joan from Denmark
Now they are both dead in the baseball park
Now it is time for Ed
I always hated that blockhead
He never understood my remarks
He now lies inside the theme park
Their lives were cut like a thread
Soon the deaths will spread
Their graves are now my landmark
I have become the death monarch.
