This thread is for character apps for the AC roleplay, as well as OOC discussion of the RP.

App format and example:

Name: Jalaar
Faction: Assassins
Position: Lead Assassin in Tyre
Physical Description: Jalaar is around 5 foot 8, of Arabic descent. He often wears the standard Assassin's uniform of white robes with a red belt.
Personality: Jalaar is a serious man when it comes to his job. He can be cold-blooded and deals justice as he sees fit.
Bio: Jalaar was born in Tyre and spent his early years wandering around Tyre with his father, a member of the town guard. He joined the Assassins at the age of fifteen, after his father was murdered by a Teutonic Knight. Now, at the age of twenty-four, he has been put in charge of all Assassin operations within Tyre.
Weapons:Dual hidden blades. Short blade. Throwing knives. Able to use a bow, but does not carry one.



All weapons must be seen in the first AC game, either in the possession of an Assassin or a town guard. Most Assassins will wear standard Assassin wear.

Other Information:

There are two Assassin NPCs. They do not engage targets and usually act as spies.

There are roughly twenty true Templars in the city. No more than ten of these are roaming the streets at any one time. These men, Frederick, and his most elite knights should be the only ones to recognize Assassins on sight. There are also twenty Arabs hired by the Templars. No more than five of these men are on the street at one time.

The Hospitaliers have a larger force of knights in the city, roughly fifty. No more than ten of these men are elite and can recognize Assassins on sight.

The Teutonics control the largest force in the city, nigh on seventy men. None of these men should recognize Assassins on sight.

In addition, there are also around one hundred Arab city guards. However, only one-third of these men are on duty at any given time.


I am not going to maintain historical data concerning the size and shape of Tyre, simply because I do not wish to and it would be too difficult. This is what is accepted for this RP:

Tyre is a large-ish city, roughly equal to Acre. It has the same coastal climate. Ships regularly sail in and out of the harbor, bringing supplies in to the Crusaders.

Name: Nikolai Reznor
Faction: Assassins
Position: Senior Assassin

Physical Description: Nikolai is 6' exactly, weighing in at 197 lbs. He has dark auburn hair, bright jade eyes, and a slightly tanned complexion. His Assassins uniform is typical, with the white outerwear and the red sash.

Bio: Nikolai was born in a secluded Russian village, and joined the Assassins after he accidentally stumbled into one of their proceedings. He is now twenty-six, and a senior Assassin.

Weapons: Nikolai carries dual hidden blades, an elegant longsword, a shortsword, and a crossbow.

Position: Leader of Templar Order in Tyre

Physical Description: Richard is an average 6 foor, he is a strong man but is also capable of parkour in order to persue assassins, he has a red helmet with a golden cross that is layed over the visor, his has a chainmail hauberk with a Templar tabard layed over the top, the tabard stained in blood and has rips all through out it, as a souvener he keeps an Assassins red sash tied around his waist.

Personality: Richard is a seriouse Templar his mood is tough and hardened, he rarely ever backs down from a job or fight involving the Assassins.

Bio: Richard was born in London; England and at the age of 20 joined the Popes holy crusade to the holy land, after a successful crusade Richard and two whole companys of men were posted in Tyre, Richard is usually wanders the streets of Tyre trying to find anyone giving off suspiciouse activity, if so they usually meet death.

Weapons: Blessed Long Sword of the Pope (Just a name not an actual magic artifact)
Short sword; taken from a slain Assassin.

Name: Sevrin Hurst de Antibol
Faction: Assassins
Position: Junior Assassin

Physical Description: Sevrin is tall and thin, although somewhat muscular. His robes are white with some red sashes, and are more ornate than the Arabic robes common in Tyre. He is of French descent, with white skin and dark hair.
Personality: Sevrin is kind and understanding, but unforgiving.

Bio: Sevrin was born in the city of Antibol (Antibes), one of the few cities in Europe that held an Assassin Guild, albeit a small one. His entire family was a part of it, and Sevrin was no different. He excelled in swordplay, and was preparing to become a fully-fledged Assassin when the guild was discovered by Templars. The twenty or so Assassins in the city were killed, all except Sevrin (to his knowledge). He had been scouting the city at the time. When he discovered the deaths of his family and friends, he fled the city on a trade ship. He got off at the first port it stopped at, and searched for Assassins. When he finally found one, distinguished by her robes, he tailed her to the city of Tyre. Showing the Assassins his ring finger (or lack thereof) and Assassin mark blazed into his skin, he was accepted to help guard the city.

Name: Sellen Del' Marreh(just pulled this name out of my ass)
Faction: Assassins
Position: Junior Assassin

Physical Description:
Sellen is a very skinny and attractive woman with slightly tanned skin and red hair. Her eyes are a lighter shade of forest green she wears Assassin Robes that she has dyed dark black with red trim and is very easily used to seduce Templars for information.

Personality: Sellen is very cold and unforgiving, also argumenative but she knows when to shut up when it is needed
Bio: Sellen was born in the Europe Country-side just outside London. Her family, though very poor were all of diffrent loyalties witch tore them apart.
Her mother, was loyal to the Templars, While her Father was loyal to the Assassin's. When the two learned this an argument broke out which ended with Sellen's mother striking her father down with a dagger and leaving her to sit there, quietly watching from the dark.

Years passed and Sellen had reached the age of eighteen when she found herself hiding away on a boat taking trade to Tyre. Once reaching there she became rather skilled pickpocket whom knew how to use knives and Saber's very well.
At the age of nineteen she was discovered by a member of the order whom had known her father and recognized the resemblance. She was surprised by what was said and the Assassin, known as Renton Alberto took her in to the order for training.

She has the assassin's symbol burned into the palm of her left hand and normally traces her finger over it when bored.

Weapons: Dual Stiletto knive's, Hidden Blade, and a basic curved Saber

Name: Al Tabib
Faction: Assassins
Position: Senior Assassin and professional doctor

Physical Description: The msyterious Al Tabib stands tall by 6 feet and two inches,born of Egyptian and Arabic descendent. Wearing the typical garbs of a Assassin, with white robes and a widened belt under a scarlet sash, Al Tabib also wears a falcon mask that resemble that of a egyptian mask.

Underneath, he is a lean and muscular man with burned flesh, his skin a dark brown. His head is bald and horribly scarred, his right eye blind, and his mouth's lips and external nose ripped off by Templar tormentors, appearing like a horrid glasgow smile.

Personality: After the Incident, Al Tabib has become sadistic towards his Templar prey, but he is kind and compassionate to those weaker than others and his patients, and is very reserved until his emotions is needed.

Bio: Born into slavery at a young age, the boy to be soon called Al Tabib was taken under the ownership of a kind doctor who wanted a pupil. Living as a doctor's apprentice for years, he was educated and skilled in his given profession until one day, at the age 14, their home was ransacked by thugs that burned their home with little mercy for the defenseless men. Burning alive, the young apprentice barely survived as he crawled out the ashes to be found by a traveling assassin.

By the calling of destiny, the assassin took the boy to the ancient fortress of Masyaf to be healed. After a year of recovery, the boy put himself under the tutelage of his savior. For years, he trained to be a assassin. It was long and hard with his destroyed body, even his teachers thought it would be impossible, but by the age 20, he was a successful novice.

Having studied his old teaching more than before and old history, he created a sturdy mask that resembled the old god of vengeance and the winds that will guide him to destiny, Horus.
Over the years, he completed various missions for the Assassins, until one day, he came face-to-face with the very men that ended his past life as a Doctor's apprentice.

Vengeful madness took him and he murdered most of them, until he was caught, and keep in torture for weeks, slowly learning that they were Templars sent to break the secrets of the assassins. Saved by others who were sent to rescue him, the assassin was scarred and hurt physically and mentally.
Taking a solitude meditation for months, he became more reserved, and continued to have more missions, becoming the feared Al Tabib.

Years now, at the age 28, he is a experienced assassin, and he is now sent to help Nikolai Renzor and Jalaar in the battle against the Templars that ruined his life.

Weapons: Hidden blade, scimitar, knife, throwing knives

All three Assassins ACCEPTED. Z, if your character has been in Tyre for a while, they should know Jalaar, who is the guild leader in Tyre. You don't need to edit the app, but he should be a familiar face. Any others that have been in Tyre for a while should also know Jalaar. Also, that should be enough Assassins. I'd like to see a Teutonic, a Hospitalier, and one more Templar before this is opened. Second characters now allowed.

Position: Leader of Hospitalier Order in Tyre

Physical Description:Frederick stands shot at 5 foot 10 inches, he has a jet black helmet with a golden cross that is layed over the visor, he has a chainmail hauberk with a Hospitalier tabard layed over the top, the tabard stained in blood and has rips all through out it, as a souvener he keeps an Assassins red sash tied around his waist.

Personality: Frederick is really quiet and has be known by the Assassins to have no soul, having hanged two publicly in front of the crowd in Tyre.

Bio: Frederick was born in France but has an English accent, he joined the holy crusade at the age of 20, the third crusade was hard and long for him, the long five years though had him rewarded with many riches and artifacts to call his own, after the victory of the third crusade he was given the position of CO at the Hospitalier order in Tyre along with their brothers the Templars.

Weapons: Steel Longsword with gold trimming (Reward from the Pope)

Wax, ACCEPTED. I'll open the IC thread shortly. I have done some searching for a suitable map, but can only find ones split into districts and with the Animus markers on them. If someone could PM me a complete map of Acre, minus all the Animus marks, I would greatly appreciate it. For now, the Teutonic CO will be NPC'd. Applications for him are STILL OPEN. Also, I have updated this thread with information concerning the size of forces in the city and some info about Tyre.

Name: Adhelm (Old english: Noble helmet)
Faction: Knights templar
Position: Master and Commander (Yes, both those words are in the same rank, I looked it up.)
Physical Description: standing at 5'11, he is tall for a man in this period of time, usually wearing his full uniform, but sometime's forgoing the helmet, which is Ironic because of his name's meaning.
Personality: Adhelm is a serious in battle, yet out of uniform he is rather easy going. Orginally insulted for not being as harsh as the others, he does have a strong sense of justice, but can let things slide if he thinks the reason justifiys the action. Adhelm has a strong sense of honour. This landed him in trouble several times, including a flogging, when he refused to kill a defenceless man.
Bio: Adhelm was born in England, to a rich family. And he joined the knights templar as soon as he could, rising through the ranks quickly. He has no family other than his mother (his late father died during a robbery)

Assassin, you clearly stated that Jalaar jumped and half-drew his sword when Nikolai tapped him. Godmodding. So long as it's not too often, I could care less.

I get what you're saying, but godmodding is something different than saying what another person's character does.
