The thing is that their isn't a lot we can all do now is there?
The damage has been done. All that can happen now is that Conner's assaulting party should take some casualtys.
In previous posts the marines have been so few in number that no one has been hit, what with the covenant not deploying a spotter.

The Ship is going to go down with enemy fire, so it's a case of Covenant clowning us by firing on the main threat (The Ship).
So all the marines have just walked into a massive trap, thats those clever covenant for you! Seriously, no matter what happens the Humans are more than likely going to be killed.

On a Related Note: If you want to shoot down my Hornet then fell free to do it, just give my character enough time to bail and then that'll be fine with me.

Let's try to work around this and not have a massive arguement which would result in some hissy fits. Eh?

From an outside perspective the charging of the tank and the destruction of the 3 other tanks was unrealistic if not god modding, imo.

Okay Rico, here is formentioned 'synopsis' just for you and Hallam

Okay, whats happened is that your squad is still in the same position grabbing supplys I presume, some of which has been loaded into the sole surviving pelican in the Pelican Bay.
The Pelican itself was broken and has just been fixed, it's original pilot: Squadron Leader Paul Nikon jumped on one of two hornets to assist another pelican which was caught up in a banshee attack.

Rally Point Alpha is still there, from their vantage point the marines and (Private Reilly) are attacking what was left of an infantry assault. An ODST squad found some of the old guns on the 'Morning where still working and used those to decimate the Infantry Assualt.
Now the Covenant are moving in air support with Seraph's inbound to destroy the Crimson Morning and ALL aboard it!!!!!
The Pelican in the Bay is leaving the ship, however you can radio it in for a pick-up.

Reilly has been talking of leaving the ship by going to the Vehicle Bay, taking what works and driving into those underground caverns, I haven't posted him ordering such a move as not only is he not in power but also you guys are in charge of all marine movement at the minute (Being the highest ranking officer so far.) This was just an option that would result in some marines surviving that covenant air attack.

I don't know what realm ShadowScarab is in, but I'm starting to feel that the staff are not enforcing their rules evenly across the board. Ignoring his posts makes them valid, and if that's the case, then I can walk freely right out of the ship because all the way around it there is no one. There was a single squad, but luckily he took them all out by himself....Especially the elite who he went hand to hand with and didn't get his skull crushed....

Right. I'm not doing my job, just because I can't catch EVERYTHING people do wrong within minutes. It has been, at the time of the "fuck you", roughly 24 hours since his godmodding occured. I was out doing shit most of the day, and thus, not on the computer.

In other news, Caster is absolutely correct. The entire last page or so has been an orgy of godmodding, ignoring enemy threats, and assuming the Covenant both are easy to kill, have wimpy-ass shields, are cross-eyed, and are retarded enough to not notice when one of their own tanks is being hijacked, and not drop about a million wraith shots on the target.

I have begun deleting posts. More are to come, if people don't get it together. I would really hate to have to bring trainings back guys, but if shit doesn't start getting fixed around here, I'm gonna have to.

When the Covenant fire at you, they will usually hit, particularly if you are not in cover.

When the Covenant hit you, you go down.

When you do something "awesome", like kill a high-ranking elite and/or hijack a Wraith, THE ENEMY WILL BUST YOU UP FOR IT.

THIS IS THE WAY OF THE WORLD. RUN WITH IT.

And Caster, if you guys think I PMS over breaking the three-word game, just try and imply that I'm not doing my job again. See what happens.

I feel obliged to say that any godmodding is in no way intentional and posts will either be removed or edited as you see fit. This is the very first rpg i have participated in and I'm not fully sure how far the term `godmodding` goes. Please reply so that I know how to resolve the matter. Sorry for any upset. I would also like to point out that i removed the squad of grunts from my earlier post as I couldn't find any way of engaging the elite plus them. I didn't ignore them I simply removed them from the story.

I think we are all at some fault here, well not the Covenant Players.
What can I say? We all mistook the abilitys of our characters and that of our enemys?
I dunno.
Survivor X, you and the rest of the Admin Staff do a damn fine job. Sure it's early days of the rebirthed forum, but you've set up a well organised board and are running it pretty damn well.
Glad to see a bit more reality being reinforced.

I certainly didn't intend to come off the way I did, X and for that I apologize. I certainly wouldn't expect one person to have the soul control over the entirety of the RP. I did notice other Moderators of the forums and thought they were in some way Game Masters as well. Since you are the only person, I see now how it could be a bit much. I guess the best we can do is pm you to help out?

A long time ago on another board I RP'd on, you would post and the moderators would come by and paraphrase your post. That sealed it into action. That way, posts were reviewed and legal. I know this might cause strain on the staffing, but there are always ways that help you out as the Admin that can be implemented.


That said, it was never supposed to be a "fuck you". It was more like.....There's a lot happening here and the current incarnation of staffing seems inadequate given the sheer volume of "poop"; although I should have taken more care in wording it....

Yes, as well I apologize for my rage post earlier, just it didn't leave my brute in much of a position to do much, and I am not quite so clever as caster . Sorry I am willing to do anything to help the current 'poop' situation. Just tell me what to do and it is done. But I think maybe for the RPers that become afk for any reason, there should maybe be like an "update" thread of some sort, which one of the admins/mods That have actually been posting can post in every so often.

Page 6 was comprised nearly entirely of godmodded bullcrap. It was deleted for a reason. You want to RP, RP from where I reset the RP to. NEWS FLASH FOR EVERYONE IN THE WORLD: A WRAITH TANK CAN WITHSTAND THREE SPNKR ROCKETS BEFORE FINALLY SUCCUMBING TO ITS DAMAGE, UNLESS THAT ROCKET IS PLACED DIRECTLY IN THE TINY VENT IN THE REAR OF THE TANK. THIS VENT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO HIT AT ANYTHING FARTHER THAN POINT BLANK RANGE. I REPEAT: YOU NEED TO FIRE THREE ROCKETS FROM AN M41 or M19, TO BE ABLE TO KILL A WRAITH TANK.

The Thing is that such a risk of deletion will hopefully be a deterant enough to stop godmodding.
Anyway, it wasn't just your posting's.
