One thing, it's not made clear where this site 3 structure is. Can you just clarify that please.

Rico is the highest ranking officer on the field (Appart from Zack but he's an NPC and Captain Piere who is Llau's character but he's not attchually with us atm) and last mission he made me his 2nd in command so its Me and Him at the moment unless theres someone whos of a higher rank than Lieutenant.
Flight Lieutenant is different to the Marines 2nd Lieutenant. They are roughly the same rank but in this situation the marines Lieutenant would be in command. So Jaxen is under the command of Rico but Jaxen acts as 2nd in command of all Airforce/Navy personel but has little say in the affairs of the Marines and ODST's.

Its just on the opposite side of the lake, just southwest of Sector 01. I had a map, but the file got all fucked up for some reason.

so do we choose which section that we are stationed in for the time being?

Covenant can, because they have air superiority and are able to transport themselves anywhere, easily. UNSC can't - most of you will be in Sector 02, since you left through the ice tunnels. Llau is in Sector 03. If you didn't post in the first story arc, though, yes you can pick which one you're at.

i'm gonna try as hard as i can not to godmod this time: for sector 2 do we start on foot, in the warthogs on the tank or does it matter at all?

Any of the above is fine, particularly since you're gonna probably be defending the base mostly.

NICHE stands for Non Ingame Canon Hideaway Exclusive, and is basically Weapons, Vehicles, Armour, Equipment and basically anything we use in the RPG which isn't in any of the Halo games.
Its our own custom content that we've thought up. If theres a thread in there which has something we've approved in it, you can use it as long as you have access to it.
By all means you can use the Ranged ODST armour, just remember to account for the advantages and disadvantages stated in the varients thread when in the RP. So basically, with it you have 10x magnification on all weapons which is like having a sniper scope on every weapon and you are more accurate than normal meaning you'll miss less. However, you are gonna suck if you get into close combat because you'll be alot slower with all that added weight.

You can also request new Covenant stuff as well as UNSC stuff, just thought I'd clear that up.

Don't forget to use the code I put up in Compulsory Post Layout. It helps to improve understanding of where everyone is and so on so we don't have a repeat of Mr Prez's post where everyone thought they were under attack, yet he was on the other side of the map...

I wouldn't mind having an update of Covenant positions in Sector 2. Also, I don't understand what the symbols in the North-West mean....

The crosshairs over the structure in the north west is the Covenant's target in Sector 2.
Also, at the moment the UNSC don't know whats happening, just that there are a load of covenant in the area. That why I asked for volenteers for a scouting mission to find out what is up there.
Once you do that, I'm sure it'll become clear whats happening and SX will either issue an updated map, or something to that effect.
Oh and just as a side note, Caster, I'm assuming that the cave that Alpha base is in is attchually a small alcove and doesn't attchually lead anywhere.
That is, unless SX says otherwise.
Finally, Sgt Wilson, if you want your squad to have a callsign and stuff in the roster you should of added them to your Bio so I knew you had a squad and who they are and what they do.
