Coming too, I suddenly have the sensation of wind whipping past me, jolting me awake as I suddenly become aware of the growl of a Warthog engine.
Looking around, I see someone in the back of the hog firing at some enemies, and looked over at the driver who gave me a glare and an angry face.
"Just what the hell were you thinking??" Growled the soldier.
"Just trying to help, I guess I misjudged

As the Prophet reported to Rictus that he had finished, Rictus relayed the information to Zuka, “Zuka, the Prophet has finished and returning to the base.”
Time was getting to Rictus again, and the sting of the cold wind just fueled his anger. The humans weren't making any distinctive moves besides a few scattered attacks, and Rictus thought he should have been leading an attack into the heart of the human base.
ZugZug had gotten bored of waiting for something to happen, and though he new he might have to brave the big scary brutes wrath, he had to wonder around and find something to do. He waddled back to the shadows, which would atleast provide him protection while he explored. He looked around at the snow, which seemed to be piled endlessly around, and spotted what looked like some sort of metal stick.
He tugged at it. It didn't budge. He tugged again, as hard as he can. He heard a snap and the ground gave way under him, crushing his small frail body under the pile of rock and snow.
Rictus snapped his head back as heard a snap and the sound of crashing rocks, “Actimus, follow me.”
Actimus did, and they proceeded to investigate. They moved past the shadows, looking into the gaping hole in the ground. Actimus helped lower Rictus down, and he quickly scanned the area. Three tunnels lead directly into the area Rictus was standing, and they each seemed to reach atleast a kilometer before splitting off and going into random directions.
“Zuka, we have found something, it seems the tunnel lead directly under the structure.”

Reilly opened his eyes. He had his rifle in his hand, gripped tightly. "Sarge? How long do we have to wait?" he called to Sgt. Hallam in the covenant craft as it moved towards section one. "Seem's like it's taken us years eh?" he turned to one of his new fellow fighters.

Ultra Zuka'Zanzamee - Sector 2 Operations Commander | Sector 2 - Among the Covenant AA Wraith Battalion |
Zuka was still monitoring traffic when Captain Rictus came over the battle net. Rictus informed him that the minor prophet had cataloged the site and was moving on. "Outstanding, Captain. An attack force coming from the Cruiser now. It will take some time to mobilize, but we will be taking the fight to the vermins. You may lead that attack if you so wish..." Zuka would also be there, if time would allow him. He heard what came next. "Or you may investigate the caves. I leave the decision to you. Believe it or not, scrambling to squish cockroaches is harder than it seems." Corporal Leon Carson - ODST - Echo Squad | Sector 2 - 1 1/2 Miles North of the Landing Zone; On Foot |
Carson was far more than winded...But he didn't want to die either. He could see the hogs and the crafts in the distance. They weren't far now. Just a bit more. Hopefully everyone remembered them. Carson looked over his shoulder looking to Renters who was lagging even further behind. Carson noticed that the burn on his arm had frosted over lightly. They needed to get that wrapped up, soon. Lieutenant Allison Westbrooke - "Super-Six-One" | Sector 2 - South - West Canyon; Providing Over-Watch to Incoming Infantry |
"Thanks, Lieutenant!" Allison nearly shouted into the microphone. She weaved back in forth in concert with Kelly's suggestions. Craig was still trying to bypass the fire control mechanism to drop the fail safe on the Archer missiles. "Try now." Allison flipped the switch...

My team and I headed to the pelicans attempting to get out of the area. We saw the infantry was heading back knowing we were retreating as the banshees and seraphs were attacking us. I vainly attampted to hit a seraph as it attamepted to blast us, all the while the pelicans grew closer.
"Sarge, what do we do when we get to the pelicans, they can only take one hog each", Fred yelled.
"We lose the rides"
I did not want to, but we had no other options. We raced for the pelicans trying to get back to base. I could see the banshees firng and plasma was filling the sky.

"Heh, war over yet?" Fitzie said in conjunction with the Reilly's remark.
The squad snickered under their breath.
Wilson looked over to Ike, his eyes were closed and he was breathing deeply. Wilson punched him in the arm and he woke up with a startled yelp.
"If the Covenant had spotted us you'd be dead without knowing what hit 'cha." he said in a bit of a southern slang.
"So why'd yah wake me up?" having no good reason Wilson faced straight foreward.
"Looks like by the time we leave this damn transport we'll be old men with gray beards and cathater's!"

Captain Nikon looked towards Fote and asked him "Your squad doing anything other than tea drinking?" Nikon nodded to Douglas Layton, the crew cheif who had prepared the Pelican for flight. "I'm thinking that we should do a flyby, see how the other sectors are doing and if needs be we can deploy your squad" Nikon looked towards the Sergeant awaiting his reply.

We were under the pelicans and firing at the banshees so that the pelicans could land. I saw there were eight in the sky. I fired at the closest and it exploded in a bright flash. The turret guns were shooting down banshees that exploded when they hit the ground. I punched the com.
"Hey up there, we need to get out of here ASAP", I said looking behind me, several covenant troops were running at us.
I turned back and fired at the banshees, only five remained.

Corporal Leon Carson - ODST - Echo Squad | Sector 2 - South-West Emergency Landing Zone |
Carson, Renters, and Dennison finally made it under the craft. Dennison was breathing heavily as she knelt down behind one of the warthogs. She had was already taking pot shots at the incoming Covenant, which had been stunned by the three soldiers running down the hill and literally cutting through their firing arcs. Renters was resting his LMG on the hood of another Hog and was spraying the incoming infantry. Carson meanwhile was kneeling near the tire, trying to get his weapon to charge. The damn cold was making the mechanical parts stick slightly. Whoever, was the quarter-master didn't oil his well enough. Carson finally charged the weapon and popped up near the foot of one of the Hog's gunners. Carson lined up a shot on a grunts head and squeezed the trigger, the first three round burst sailed over left. He was breathing too hard. Carson stopped trying to precisely aim and started just taking generalized shots. He was scoring hits center mass, but it took longer to put them down. It would have to work now. Carson, Renters, and Dennison were the first on board the Pelican, Super-Six-One. Dennison dragged Carson to the back and began treating his wound. Carson sat on the left side seat next to the crew chief who was also laying into the Covenant; who had dropped to the ground, began digging in and putting accurate rounds on their position. Lieutenant Allison Westbrooke - "Super-Six-One" | Sector 2 - South - West Canyon; Providing Over-Watch to Incoming Infantry |
"Just a bit longer, Jaxen!" Allison shouted into the microphone. The switch to the Archer Missiles still wasn't active. They only needed a little bit more. Allison didn't want to leave any gear down there. The warthogs, that was. There was a way to haul both, but neither would be secured perfectly. With all the infantry though, she wouldn't have enough thrust to counter the weight. She'd have to just bring one. The only way to bring two, would be to pick them up by the support struts on a single side. With both warthogs side by side, it might be strong enough to haul both. Mobility would be seriously hampered though. She couldn't risk that. The infantry was doing a good job of clearing the sky's and, Jaxen had pulled most of them off her. They only needed a bit longer for the rest of the infantry to get on board her craft. Ultra Zuka'Zanzamee - Sector 2 Operations Commander | Sector 2 - North-West Forerunner Temple |
Zuka's command craft dropped him at the Forerunner temple just as the Prophets craft was leaving under heavy air guard. Zuka wanted to meet this Captain Rictus in person. And see what it was the Brute had discovered. Zuka had listened to the Special Operation teams report that most of the human survivors were actively being evacuated, and without the AA support they would likely escape. It was of no matter though, the assault force would arrive soon...And they would chase the humans into their hole and kill them there.

Actimus grabbed Rictus by the arm, and used all his muscle to pull him up and out. Rictus wiped the snow of himself and watched the command craft land, letting Zuka step off. As Zuka approached Rictus banged his fist against his chest plate, knocking some snow off the edges of the armor.
“Zuka, it is a surprise to see you here, uh...what is it you want?” Rictus hadn't expected Zuka to come, even with the discovery of the cave, and that's what Rictus assumed he was here for.

The pelicans were loading whille those in the hogs provided covering fire. Fred was unloading the covenant weapons we gathered and Ed was already inside. One pelican went up in the air and left with troops and a hog. I fired three more guass rounds before jumping in the pelican.
The hatch shut and we were off, heading back to the base. I still wish I finished off the AA wraiths but we were safe at least. I punched the com.
"Ed you okay over there"
"Sir, good as I can be in this thing"
"Is the sergeant in there with you"
"Yes sir"
"Good explain to him what has been goin' on so far in case he is still boggeled from his stunt", I turned off the com.
I walked up to the cockpit to meet one of our rescuers and give my gratitude.

Lydia Gibson shook her head, barely any time had passed and already Nikon was eager to get in the air. “I’ll warm her up for you Paul” she smiled as she sat in the co-pilot’s chair. Captain Nikon looked at the Marine Sergeant “Fote, you go and get your men and we’ll get air ready” “It is air ready” mumbled the crew chief as he hid his toolbox from view. The Captain stepped out of the Pelican and headed towards a silent spot. He opened his communication device and radioed command “Can you get me that Marine Recon man? Try Hornet: Hotel 22, What? Destroyed? Well, send me his coordinates, which Sector?” Whoever Nikon was talking to was not being particularly helpful in his opinion.

Reilly looked out of the Shadow and saw the destination; The Crimson Morning. Still smoking from it's Covenant's bombing raid and the firing of the missle pods. He froze for a second, remembering the firefight that had almost ended his life, that large blob of blue plasma. He blinked and saw that they where nearing the Morn faster than expected.
'About time too!' he thought looking down the sniper scope trying to see any friendlie's on the scene.

Ultra Zuka'Zanzamee - Sector 2 Operations Commander | Sector 2 - Forerunner Temple |
Zuka looked at the hulking Brute...Captain Rictus. Zuka had always had somewhat better relationships than Brutes. He realized what the prophets realized. Everyone wanted a greater part on the Great Journey. To that end, the Brutes had a snarling, drooling, strength that in most cases exceeded that of the normal Sangheili. Generally speaking, they were eager to work....And, Zuka was not stupid. The higher your military rank, the more political it became. Few Sangheili had ever reached Fleet Master without some kind of political backing. Such things required friendships...However small or seemingly insignificant, and for that...Zuka could overlook the brooding feud which had been boiling under the lid of the Sangheili and Jiralhanae cultures for nearly twenty years. "I wanted to congratulate you on holding this objective. I apologize for assigning such a simple task to you. Perhaps had you been the infantry support for the wraiths, many would not have been destroyed." Zuka offered a respective nod, placing his right arm across his chest. Before dropping it down. "The assault team is preparing to land in the area and begin attacking what I suspect is the human base. Even now, Special Operation teams are preparing. That leads me to the reason I am here, Captain." Zuka resisted the urge to just refer to Rictus as a brute. The term fit them, but it was given to them on the basis that they were completely mindless, furry, berserkers. Which was true enough, but Zuka had seen a few Brutes that seemed to hold higher thought functions. "I realize the strength of the brutes at close range. Therefore, I see fit to entrust your team to whatever duty you would like to hold, save mine, when the assault begins." Zuka would allow Captain Rictus to choose his fate. Be it leading the task force, or simply fighting in it. It mattered not...The alliance started based on whether or not Rictus would except the offer. Zuka's success would surely also benefit Rictus. Especially considering that the Brutes and Elites have such strained relationships. Lieutenant Allison Westbrooke - "Super-Six-One" | Sector 2 - Coming into the Base |
Allison was coming into the base, when short range comm sparked in her ear. "Super-six-one, NAVCOMM." "Navcomm..." Allison replied as she checked the systems. "Captian Nilon is asking for confirmation that you have Sergeant Kabruski on board." A Marine ODST had entered the cockpit. Allison looked back behind him and keyed the comm. "Roger that, NAVCOMM. Subject on board, condition unknown." "Roger that, Super-six-one. NAVCOMM out." Allison eased the pelican to the deck, and turned the engines off. She looked to the Marine, who thanked her for the pick up. "No, problem. We wouldn't leave you down there." Allison removed the helmet and offered the Marine a nod and a smile. She was glad Paul was up and moving again. A glimmer of good news in an honest sea of shite. Allison patted Craig on the shoulder as she moved by his station. Kelly had already cleared the back of the Pelican out. Smelled like burnt flesh and sweat. Smelled like Marines. Allison hopped off the back and looked over the pelican. It was littered with scorch marks. The front - right vertical thruster coupling was only still attached because the extreme cold helped the metal cool fast enough not to fall off. But it was warped, which meant it was weak. Allison needed to sleep though, so did Craig. Allison looked around, she had half expected Paul to be standing-by when she landed. If for nothing more than debrief. Although, he usually just trusted that things got done. Corporal Leon Carson - ODST - Echo Squad | Sector 2 - Alpha Base |
Carson was the first off. He stood by 'til Renters got off with Dennison right behind him. Dennison looked to Carson, "He's as good as I can get him. Take him to Medical." Carson nodded and walked behind Renters, who was getting irritated by the fact everyone was acting like he was hurt. "It's just a burn, I'm fine." "No, you're just too big and stupid to realize when you're actually hurt. Burn spot, heat-flashed you to the bone, then it froze over." "It's what I signed up for." Carson didn't say anything more. It was true. What was the difference, hitting atmosphere in a drop pod could fry you just as fast.

It felt good to be back at the base after a hard battle. I radioed to lieutenant Maxwell about our mission. When I told him that most of Alpha and my own squad were killed he told me to take the remaining soldiers into the squad. Now my squad had me, Ed, Fred, and three others and that was a hell of a small force.
I just decided that we would relax after saving a squad destroying some AA wraiths and saving a sergeant from being killed. I saw that the base was still pretty busy with movement. I was resting against a crate with Fred and Ed. Ed was sipping stale coffee and Fred was in deep thought. I just sighed and enjoyed the peace after a hard fought battle.

“I do not doubt your judgement, this relic is important to the Prophets, and just as important as me. But our prowess is our strength, as I am sure you know. And the only place we can truly use it is at the head of the battle, and I will be ready to lead the task force-if that is what you will have me do,” Rictus did hate Elites, but he wasn't dumb.
This alliance, whether or not it lasted, would benefit Rictus and he wasn't going to deny it, even to the dismay of his soldiers. Never the less, it was a strange offer, and Rictus didn't know exactly of what to think, or exactly what Zuka's motives where. For now, he was just going to act in kind, and accept Zuka's generous offer.

Scott sat near the rear of the pelican as the whining of the engines slowly increased. The pilot was taking them as low to the ground as he could to prevent them from being spotted, but the stealth couldn’t last much longer, so he was building up speed to get them to their destination. The sarge came through the door separating the cockpit from the hold, a focused look upon his rough face. “Ok gentlemen, we know what happened, and our boys that didn’t get out with us have now set up shop at a bridge near here.” a murmur shot through the other 3 in the team. “Quiet! We haven’t been given any orders since the crash, and so we don’t have any use. We would try to land at the base, but Covenant air patrols would find us way too easy. We’re gonna try and contact whoever’s in charge down there, see where they want us. In the meantime, lock and load marines.” The 3 marines responded in sync, “OOH-RAH!”
Scott looked over his sniper, the gun was almost brand new, besides a few shots in training it was unused. He glanced at Mich and Edd, who were loading their battle rifles. “So, I guess this is it,” he said. Mich looked up at him and replied solemnly, “Yup,” “Come on guys, we’ll be fine!” said Edd, trying his best to keep his spirits up, even though it was plain obvious he was terrified. Mich looked him in the eye and said, “The covies are here for one reason, to kill us.”
“You sure that’s the only reason? What about this world, it just doesn’t make sense.” Scott replied, pondering the ring. Edd, glad of an excuse to look away from Mich asked, “You think it might be the reason they chased us here, Scope?”
“Who knows, man.”
Meanwhile, in the cockpit, Sgt. Macready sat in the co-pilot seat, trying to raise Alpha base. “Alpha base, this is Sergeant John Macready, me and my boys are approaching your location, where do you want us?”

Cpt. Paul Nikon Sector Two: Pelican Super Six One Landing Pad.
Paul looked towards a recently landed pelican; Super Six One. He walked around it, noticing every faint mark and harsh scratches that had been inflicted on the vehicle. He called out “Westbrooke?” looking for the Lieutenant to congratulate her and her crew on the mission. And Jaxen too, they had worked well together and coordinated extremely well.
Paul neared the Pelican’s back and held on a tray four cups of tea. One for himself and the rest for the crew of ‘Super’. “I think I remember how you like it” he spoke to the crew, smiling. Pleased that he had not lost a bird, yet. Although that wasn’t true, he realised and shook his head slightly.

Ultra Zuka'Zanzamee - Sector 2 Operations Commander | Sector 2 - Forerunner Temple |
Zuka had not expected such an answer from the brute. Not that he didn't want to fight at the battle...But rather that he would articulate himself so well. Perhaps there truly was more to this brute than met the eye. Although, even a Brute aspired to make Chieftain. So, perhaps their aim was the same. That would work too. A brute Chieftain and a Sangheili Field Master that actually work together... Zuka finally spoke. "So be it, Captain. You may prepare however you wish. I will find replacements to cover this location. If you need any specialized gear, you have my blessings in advance." With that Zuka nodded once more and headed back to the waiting phantom. He would be seeing how the task force was mounting. Should be just getting organized. Lieutenant Allison Westbrooke - "Super-Six-One" | Sector 2 - Coming into the Base |
Allison was standing on her tippy-toes feeling around that melted coupling. It needed to either be welded and filed down, or replaced. "Westbrooke?" Allison turned around to see Paul Nikon standing there with tea for him, her, Kelly and Craig. "Oh, Paul. Thank you!" Kelly rushed over, leaving her power grinder on the ground next to her work station. Craig walked by and grabbed his cup, giving Paul a nice slap on the back. "Thank you, sir..." Craig offered a toast and a smile as he walked by. He was replacing the fire control circuitry. Allison walked up and grabbed one of the final two cups. "Thanks, Paul!" She smiled lightly. "We're already tired and your giving us hot tea?" She teased. "That's just rude." Allison then turned to look at her bird. "Just a bit worse for the wear. Not to much though. Fire control circuitry is gone. Targeting needs to be recalibrate, and as you can see..." Allison just pointed to the coupling. She sipped at the tea, for better or worse. She just really wanted to go hit the hay somewhere....Maybe get out of the dingy flight suit. She had no lofty thoughts about their situation though. This might be the only sized clothing that fit. Everyone might just be walking around with their shirts on their back. "How have things been here?" She held the warm cup in both hands. She looked over at him as she asked the question. Curious to know, if he was ready to go up or not....Not that doctors orders would stop him.

I was walking around the base taking in the site. I saw the pelican that got us out of there and the pilot and three others. I saw some guys just sitting around and another group preparing for an attack on the covenant.
I returned to Fred who told me what was on his mind.
"Sarge, I was thinking we handed all of the covenant weapons to higher brass but what happened to that energy sword you grabbed"
"I kept it as little surprise for the covenant soldiers"
"Sarge you think that's such a good idea"
"Why not they got two fuel rods and plasma pistols and even a carbine, I just kept a big glowing sword in case I need it"
I walked off before Fred could say another word, he knew I pulled stunts like this before. I continued to search for what I was looking for, any sign of my sniper Desmond.

Captain Paul Nikon Pelican Landing Pad
“Well, when I’m not dodging doctor patrols and strafing the snack bar it’s been pretty quiet” he smiled, hoping to keep the crew happy, to try and stay motivated. “And with you? He asked with a straight face, showing minor concern. He cared for each and every member of his Squadron, that so many had become MIA hurt him like a dagger through the heart. He would not lose anymore crew, He could not. He brushed the thought aside by consuming some of the tea, looking at Allison.

Scott tried to relax in the pelicans' hold, but the roaring and the fear of being spotted hung over his head. He could see the others were in a similar position, all of them silent. Their faces showed a mixture of anticipation and fear. Just like what he felt.
"I repeat, Alpha base, this is Sergeant John Macready, me and my boys are approaching your location from the east, along the crevasse. Requesting orders." Sgt. Macready had been trying to contact the base for around 3 minutes, but all the radio got was static. He sighed in frustration and was about to try again, when a crackling voice came through, "Sergeant Macready, your squad is now Indigo team, do you copy?"
"Yes sir!"
"Good, I need you and your boys to head about a klick north of the bridge, we have reports of heavy Covenant movement in that area. Once you get dropped off, scout the area and call in if you find anything. Have your pelican come to us when you've been dropped off. Do you understand, marine?"
"Sir yes sir!" He turned to the pilot, "You heard him, make it happen."
The pelican rose out of the crevasse and bore north-west, heading to the LZ. Scott checked his sniper one last time.

I found a group of soldiers who were just out on recon and asked them if they found any soldiers. They found a single soldier, a dead soldier that was ran through with several plasma wounds. I found out that that soldier was Desmond.
I swore all the way to Fred who was checking a pistol he found. I told him that Desmond was dead and he told me that Ed was resting. We headed towards him to deliver the bad news. My team was getting smaller and we still had alot of fight let in this battle.

Corporal Leon Carson - ODST - Echo Squad | Sector 2 - Alpha Base |
Carson was heading towards the command area. Sergeant Samson was already their handing off their findings to the impromptu command staff. Carson listened as one of the staffers got on the radio. "Indigo team, be advised. We have the recon picket from that area back. Heavy hostile activity in that vicinity. We recommend mission abort, and return to base until we can muster a greater offensive. Over." Samson finally turned around and smacked Carson on the shoulder a couple of times. "Dennison told me already, Leon." "Yeah, he's fine. He's gonna be out for a couple of hours while the doctors remove the burnt flesh and graft skin over it." "At least he didn't burn if off." "Shouldn't have gotten hit in the first place." "Carson.....If you haven't noticed. This is a giant shit sandwich, and we're all gonna have to take a bite." Samson continued off past Carson. Carson shook his head removing his helmet and headed towards the mess hall. Lieutenant Allison Westbrooke - "Super-Six-One" | Sector 2 - Coming into the Base |
Allison looked at Paul, she took a moment to study his face. However hard it was for her, Kelly, Craig, Jaxen...It had to be harder for him; to lose so many. "We're good Paul...Focusing on now...Keeps are minds busy...Away from thinking about all of this...But...I don't know that we can go up one more time." Allison sipped the tea and blinked. "I was getting blurry vision, which hasn't happened to me in a long time." Allison finished the last bit of tea. "If we had more....We could fly in shifts...Like this though...Well.....Everyone pulls their weight, right?" Allison set the cup down on a nearby create. She was trying to remain positive. Years of playing sports had built that up in her. Positive mental attitude.....It could count for a lot when you had nearly nothing left to offer.

Rictus and Brahmin squad stepped onto the Phantom. The motion of the dropship always made him sick, and he preferred solid ground. Rictus could tell all of Brahmin were all ready for combat, and they would all get it. As the Phantom settled into its usual motion, an idea crossed Rictus mind.
“Commander, would you be able to get me a gravity hammer?” The gravity hammer was held almost as a sacred icon for the Jirlhanae, only one could possess it in a pack, and that one was usually the leader. It might seem out of place and wrong for a captain to hold such a weapon, but Rictus didn't care.

"Alpha base, we are aborting mission. We're heading back into the crevasse. I don't think any Covenant saw us," Sergeant Macready nodded at the pilot, who turned the pelican around and headed back. He walked through the door that seperated him from his men.
Scott glanced at Mich and Edd , then turned his attention to the sarge. "Ok, marines, change of plan. We're heading to Alpha. Too much risk doing the recon. Sit tight boys, you'll be in combat soon enough," The sarge turned away and went back into the cockpit. Scott breathed out in relief and pulled out his sidearm, he would have to use it a lot, snipers were not exactly designed for close quarters. "Hey, maybe they could lend you an SMG or something when we get to base, instead of that crappy thing," Scott looked up and saw Mich looking at him, laughing, and Edd trying to rest.
"Yeah, maybe." Scott muttered. He wasn't particularly hopeful, but it was worth a try when they got there.

I wasn't very pleased to stand in front of my remaining men. Fred was checking his battle rifle while Ed was inspecting a pair of magnums. Frank, one of the three from alpha, just stared at the ground I wasn't sure if he was listening to me. Ron was another one who just looked around the base for something to catch his attention. Finally, Tim was the last new addition to the team.
I told them that we were to stay at the base since we pretty much got wiped out from our assault on the AA wraiths. So we basically just sat around waiting for something if any thing to happen.

Scott tried to take a leaf out of Edd's book and get a bit of rest, but the Pelican just rumbled so much, and he was too scared to sleep anyway. If any covie fliers saw them, they were toast. He knew they were almost there, but it didn't really help. He looked up once again, Edd looked like he was about to fall off his seat during his sleep. Mich was writing in a diary. Scott just leaned back, and went over in his mind how he would ask for an SMG.
Sergeant Macready stared through the cockpit window, half watching for Banshees or Seraphs, and half watching out for Alpha base. Soon they came in sight of a bridge, and guessed that was where it was. He leaned over to the radio and said, "This is Indigo team to Alpha base, requesting permission to land, over."

Ultra Zuka'Zanzamee - Sector 2 Operations Commander | Sector 2 - Forerunner Temple |
“Commander, would you be able to get me a gravity hammer?” Rictus came over the Battle Net. "I will seek it out for you...It will be standing by at the staging area." Zuka replied as the Phantom took off and rose away from the structure. As the phantom came about into the landing zone north of the bridge. Two assault tanks were standing by with several groups of assault crews standing by to launch a skirmish into the cave beyond the bridge. Zuka departed the phantom into the staging zone. A Sangheili minor came up to him and handed him a Gravity Hammer. Several brutes snarled but stayed quiet. Zuka already had cloaked troops standing by near an exit to the cave formation. This forward assault would launch, using the tanks for mobile cover why the lances moved forward. It was a dangerous choke point, and Zuka expected heavy casualties. However, the assault team was geared for the duty. Carbines, Fuel Rod Cannons, and the tanks themselves. It wouldn't be too long before they started to advance down the bridge and attempt to dislodge the humans. Corporal Leon Carson - ODST - Echo Squad | Sector 2 - Alpha Base |
Corporal heard the other Marines over the radio. "This is Indigo team requesting permission to land." Then the drone of the command staffs voice in return. "Copy that Indigo team. Put down next to the other Pelicans. Check in all gear to the quarter master and await orders. Command, out." Carson dropped the helmet on a makeshift bench and scooped a hot plate of slop.
