The UNSC tries out the Orbital Defence GPA* Screens, but they realize the effect is more dangerous than firing all Halos repeatedly (which they don't know about yet), and unite to neutralize the threat.

as i understand it if their slot was not taken by a PC then you can use nPCs as normal.

Cool, thanks. Mostly though I just wanted to use the NPCs I made for my officer characters. For my corporal character I'll just play off your sergeant's post.

Sentinels.

It's the only other thing that is still in the canon that is left. Anything else would be either Flood, which we know isn't happening, or non-canon.

Although, I do have to admit, fighting the Pfhor would be really cool.

Wouldn't there have to be Flood wherever the Sentinels are, though? I haven't played Halo 1/2 in a bazillion years or so, but from what I remember the Sentinels kinda just lasered the hell out of the Flood spores to keep them semi-contained?

Nope. Sentinels are general security, not specific anti-Flood countermeasures, even though they wind up having to fight them most of the time anyway.

1) This place was ever considered high-security enough to see Sentinels stationed here (I'll give you a hint, it's a MINE).

2) The Covenant have totally awakened this forerunner structure.

I meen seriously, you're assuming that the Forerunners made everything they did AMAZINGLY AWESOME, yes the Halo rings are full of awesome tech...because they're, the pinnacle of weaponry, yes the shield worlds were awesome...BECAUSE THEY WERE PLANET-SIZED CONSTRUCTS....

This is a Mine, the only amazing thing about it...is that its...as big as a city? The UNSC can do that...
