Well, using the engines at all is a big flag. You'd want to get into a drifting natural orbit without using any power, one stable enough so that you wouldn't get pulled in by gravity, and power everything down.

Well, you would have noticed me anyway eventually. Only, now I'd rather be out of your weapon sights, with systems powered and ordanance in play, as opposed to hoping for a natural orbit away.
Btw, *Clarion instead of MAKO on that post.

Sorry newblood, but your last post is somewhat... inaccurate, as far as AI transportation is concerned. When physical transfer is necessary, the AI is simply downloaded into a standard UNSC data crystal chip. The whole point of that is because Halo's holoprojector technology is simply too cumbersome to be stuffed into a conveniently hand-held sized device. If you could do that, then people in Halo would be walking around with Star Wars-style holopads all over the place, which they're not. I realize that part of your post seems tailored simply to give me an opportunity to post, which I really do appreciate, but that's stretching Halo tech just a little too far. Not to mention that Nex's ship AI is more than enough, there's really no need to feel like Uriel needs to be included somehow at this time.

At least canonically, holographic projection isn't miniaturised into a handheld device until 2552.
Of course, an AI could still display on a flat screen, or in a non-free-floating holograph.

Alright, i guess i should just edit out the holo-chip part hehe, sorry i just thought cause the only hand-held AI chips i have heard about have a small holo-projector so i just used what knowledge i knew. And yeah, this may take a few more posts, if everyone would please hang tight, i would just like to put the captain in a conference with Naval command so i can get started for the next RP. Ill see if i can fit it all into my next post if I can.

The small holoprojectors probably don't get invented until the 2550s.

The small holoprojectors probably don't get invented until the 2550s. Right, and i will respect that, just it seems kinda... low for a "Smart" AI to use a data crystal chip yanno?

Yes it was, but cortana was a "Smart" AI which was made by Dr.Halsey, the Dr. added in emotions to an extent and made cortana tons more valuable because cortana was made to decipher and find artifacts. So basically the good Doctor added a piece of herself to cortana, if you remember the book halo:reach, she talks about it in an indirect manor.

If you want to better yourself at halo:RPG here you'd best read up on some halo books, makes things much better.

Cortana is also an incredibly advanced AI that is miles ahead of the other AI's and in no way should ever be used as the 'norm' of smart AI's.

Ya, sorry, but i just thought cortana would be considered a major class of "Smart" AI but seems she would be more of a "Uber" AI Cortana was made by halsey, creator of the spartans, and holds some of Halsey inside her memory chip.

Dr. Halsey is a complete genius with an IQ of 200. Cortana has an advantage because she was made from a flash clone of Halsey's brain.
A normal AI, would be made from someone smart, yes. But nobody can rival Halsey.

IQ of 200? Thats a bit preposterous, seeing as stephen hawking, with the highest recorded IQ of any person ever, is somewhere in the 160's, 170's.

Well to be fair Halo is fictional. That and who's to say that someone smarter than 'Hawking cannot exist?

Thats not what I'm saying. I'm saying that it would be inconceivably unlikely for them to be a full twenty percent smarter. Then, there's the fact that most of the spartan IIs had something like an IQ of 160 each ( a whole bunch of little "Stephen Hawkings" right there) all weere incredibly strong to begin with (before augmentation) were all about same age, and Hasley found 200 of them? I know it's fictional, but that's a bit of a stretch!

Bungie's also stated at it's a bit of an exaggeration anyway. Plus measuring IQ is pretty inaccurate once you start getting above 150. But it reinforces my point. Halsey is one of the smartest people ever during that time period. Make an AI from her, and it's bound to have a few advantages for an AI.
