I was there anyway, since several pages ago, so I didn't really have a choice.

Hey Oresus, you do realize that nobody, demon or otherwise, has "moved forward through the remains of the door", right? Monkey's post just has everyone taking cover outside the door, still. Not that it would matter much in this case, seeing as the return fire has us pinned anyway (we'd have to fall back if we really were advancing, so same result), but just be careful how you interpret other people's posts.

Oops, edited. Sorry Commando...*scrabbles around for book of excuses*
...I was...my dog ate it?
Anyway, I'm pretty much doomed to an eternal battle between evenly matched foes unless Dufflepud and any other Covies come to the rescue. Mayday, Mayday!

Why does everyone want to kill me, I mean yeah I'm a spartan, I pulled two consecutive wins against other players, and I'm stealing your data. But come on, give a guy a break.

Right, that's me for the day/night. I'll leave it to the other Covies to reinforce me and assault the command center as one, and will return then to execute my plans. Muahahahaha...muahaha...
Oh crap, I sound like you Monkey.

Whoa... Monkey's been on a roll! ;D I go to sleep after posting last night, only to wake up and find you and Oresus have been posting back and forth, like, five to six times! You're like a living fire-and-forget weapon - just point you at the enemy and wait for the fireworks! Of course, that leaves me to figure out a valid excuse for not being in the thick of the fighting with you, and "But Monkey went on a rampage while I was asleep" doesn't cut it.

Wow, guys. Been a while since I've been around. Had some hard financial times for a bit. Have the internets back again so I'm ready to retain my mantle. Suffice it to say, I have absolutely no clue what has happened. I will try to read through what I can in the mean time, but enough information for me to kind of sink back in would be nice. I do apologize for the long absence....It wasn't by choice.

We trashed your bridge. Well, then again, you can blame Oresus for that. All we did was repaint it with the blood of its valiant defenders. Oresus was the one who went and tossed anti-matter charges in there. Good times. ;D

No clue what that means. I'm assuming that means the AC Computer that carried the second best copy of the Data was destroyed?

No clue what that means. I'm assuming that means the AC Computer that carried the second best copy of the Data was destroyed? Didn't expect you to. Suffice it to say, you've really missed out. As for the data, that's even better! We hacked the computer, purged all UNSC data from the system, and even got a bit of Covie intel out as well (although not much).

Hmm, having the UNSC troops jump out the airlocks and then nuke the ship is sounding more and more like a good idea...

Don't worry, I have a plan...*Continues writing next post*
(Although you know Maxi's abduction is part of the continuing Story Arc, right?)

Reposted from the essential info thread: Well, that's the problem. If the Covenant get away with any of the data, the UNSC loses the war, because Earth and Reach and such will be glassed within the week - they have a copy of all of the navigational data that the Cole Protocol and such sought to keep out of the Covenant's hands. Which is why there's only one decent copy which has by now been deleted. Mission 3 is a continuation based on this mission, not a reset.

I understand OOCly that we're not going to find him, or if we do we won't be able to do anything to help him. But that's role-play - IC we wouldn't know that. And that is indeed an awesome plan! So, you're saying we don't have to go hunting for all of Caster's goons?

Well, you can still hunt them down, but the Covenant aren't going to escape with intact data either way... as unfortunately, whoever originally planned the mission didn't count on both sides having player characters, and made the stakes a teensy bit too high.

Erm... what exactly would the rest of the Marines and ODSTs in the bridge area be doing right now? Getting set to leg it to the hangar?
