Damn, Smoke! What's with all the colors? I'm gonna give you the same speech I gave Saber.
The reason you see some people use color in their post is to highlight another player's name to get their attention. It's just a considerate way people can see that you are interacting with them, otherwise it is possible to accidentally overlook that you're including them in your post. Please just stick to one bright color, not the entire freakin' rainbow, and only on names of actual players, not dialouge or whatever else.

Also, Smoke, how the hell does your squad know where Indigo is? They're about halfway through the ship by now  Only other squad anywhere near is Red Wing and the 2 ONI techs. |

Since I screwed up Maxii grounded the platoon, not much of a chance to fight down there unless your lucky to snatch a straggler.

Maxii did the honors of grounding our platoon, you are in my platoon, but neither of us are allowed to fight. Mind as well not post. Jakob, you did the honour of running your platoon shoddily and generally failing to control your men. If you let one of your teams walk off and get themselves MIA then it's your fault because they where under your command. The reason that the actual men in the missing part of your platoon where approached by an Special Forces Officer was because they displayed Special Forces Skill. Not to say your character isn't 'special', because I think we can all agree he is, just not in a good way. Also I was leniant by only sending you to Picket Duty, because you still have your rank, you still can roleplay. If you did something similar in a modern army, you would be busted down to private and dismissed with disgrace and dishonour. Now if you don't stop bitching about having to take orders that aren't always fun then clearly a military based roleplay isn't for you. Because clearly you lack the capability to look after your platoon, are you sure you really deserve your Lieutenancy! AND LIKE I POINTED OUT, Just because your on the ground dosen't mean there aren't enemy to fight or things to roleplay about, GOOD GOD Man HAVE YOU GOT AN IMAGINATION?  No don't answer that, its a rhetorical question. Blackbetty and Masterrob, you two can post, it's just because of Jakob's crap leadership that his platoon as been sent off the AC and down to the ground, you can do pretty much anything down there, hunt for covenant survivors, information and other bits and peices. You could however just as easily be in a new wave of fighters and not be with Zaborowski for this part of the mission. Oh, Jakob you are allowed to fight, but you where sent outside of the AC, so yes your not part of the assualt anymore but guess what? Picket Duty is there to guard the rear of the attack... The Enemy always seem to try and flank us, I wonder why??? I even told you that the Covenant might try leaving the ship from Hangers and other access points. |

Interestingly, if you actually read the book, then the war isn't entirely hopeless: the one torpedo ram takes out two tripods (one with guns, one with ramming) before being killed by a third, and immediately after that scene, the battleships of the Channel Fleet go in; we never see the result, but given the effectiveness of one small warship...
