The Battle of Earth was one of the largest engagements fought between the Covenant and the United Nations Space Command, which took place on and above the planet Earth and across the Sol system from October 20, 2552 to November 17. It was one of the most significant battles of the Human-Covenant war as the fate of humanity depended on the survival of their homeworld. The battle concluded when the Prophet of Truth's Dreadnought left Earth through the Portal with the purpose of activating the Halo Array from "The Ark".

Most fleets have been called to Earth for defense. Including Django's. His fleet was made up of cruisers and frigates. An award ceremony was going on in the nearby MAC Station, Cairo Station. Aboard his ship, The Ares, He stood in the bridge. A red hologram popped up. It was Django's personal AI, It was based off a clone trooper from the movie series Star Wars from 600 years ago. "Morning Admiral." The AI said. "Morning, Rex. Anything new?" Django Asked. "No sir but I am detecting ships coming out of slipspace. Covenant." He said. "Alert lord hood." He said. "All ships prepare for engagement. Launch all longswords, Ready the MAC." He said. A covenant fleet moved straight towards his fleet trying to get past the Blockade. "Battle stations!" He said into the comm. Covenant torpedoes struck the side of the ship damaging a part the hull. He called in a hammerhead corvette to ram a battlecruiser. The Hammerhead ship rammed straight into the hanger of that ship. It broke the ship in half.
