So, I got a new job which I am pleased about. Manual labor, but not exactly /hard/ manual labor once I get used to it at least. I am a picker for Lablaws. Basically, when a grocery store makes an order, they send it to a DC. I get that order, and I put it together to be shipped out and sent to the stores. 16.10 an hour CAD, with incentive bonuses, and it's unionized. There likely won't be a huge shift in my site activities ((Come on M9 ;^  ) but I'm still alive. Just beat ass tired every night. On a cool note, though, I drive around a 5.5 ton machine that is smaller than a car  The battery alone is 1500 lbs. On a side note, if anyone has any questions regarding the job, I'd be glad to answer them |

Congrats on the new job, and trust me you'll fall into the routine in short time. It'll hurt, and it'll be miserable for a short time but you'll get used to it. Kudos on the job.

I found myself in a similar position a few times. Played heck with my stream schedule, but congrats on the job!
It's pretty sad that in today's economy someone needs to work two jobs just to make the rent, pay taxes and bills, etc, etc.

It's getting pretty bad. |

Seriously, though, @dave , If you think you can pull it off, getting full time hours in before your adjustment period even ends is almost guaranteed from what I have been heard. Loblaw's is hurting bad and need more workers. If you can manage the move, I'll even recommend you, which makes the hiring staff pay extra attention to your application
