I'll be creating a single player here soon and participating occasionally, but I have a baby on the way and many other responsibilities(Work, life, etc.) and will just be stopping by as a past time. Coming from experience, they aren't all that hard work first born, just a really wonky sleep schedule. If you are the casual type, I would personally suggest a Tier One or Two character, given their ease and lack of expectations. Feel free to try for higher tiers, but the higher the tier, the more responsibilities you have. Keep that in mind. Anywho, great to have you aboard!

You've come to a good place to blow over that bit of extra time you got on your hands. There's certainly plenty to see if you're just moseying on through. If there was anything specific you were hankering for then feel free to ask anyone of our staff or Guardians like Edto here. We got the Mess Hall if you're looking for some off topic conversation and get to know the folks here. There is the main section of the forum where all the canon roleplay goes on to participate in the main story. You can spend a fair amount of time reading through the Information section if you like to know more about the site's setting in the Fundamentals tab. But for the smaller scale stuff you got the Side Missions section where we have our side stories and misc roleplaying threads you might wanna take a gander at. Hope you have a good time browsing and enjoy. ^__^

If I could make a suggestion, though, the site does need a few more Covenant players, and a Jackal or Grunt character will be very well received by many players on the site. Sangheili will also be welcomed. This isn't the say that UNSC character won't be well received, we just have a drastic lean that some would like to start evening out. ONI character also fall into this. We don't have very many ONI characters, who are by in by their own sub faction within the UNSC if you would like to do that. Llau is our ONI Guru, so any questions you have about her would be best directed to her. Huka is our Covenant Guru so any questions would be best directed to him Cabel is our UNSC Guru, so any questions would be best sent to him. Any Guardian or Staff member can answer these questions, but these people have been chosen as the representatives of these factions, and have the largest amount of knowledge regarding their factions over all.

Sure, it may not be as horrendously easy to mow down hoards of them but they are cowardly. On their own they aren't much of a challenge. In the actual lore, the Grunts cause a lot of heavy problems for the Covenant when they were inducted, going so far as to earn the respect of the Arbiter at that time. They showed a ferocity and willingness to die for a cause that the Sangheili had never seen in another race before. So in numbers, they are terrifying and rightfully so. Always remember though... Never underestimate stupid people in vast numbers.
