(Gday guys, thought I might jump in , also I'm using mobile so forgive me) Former ODST Lieutenant Alexei (Titan) Krevchenkov Alexei looked at himself in the mirror, thinking back to when he was all but blackmailed by ONI into joining this task force, if they could even be called that. He pulled down the mask covering his disfigured mouth, his lips and left cheek missing where a Kig-yar had hooked its talons into him during an ambush, that of which claimed his squad mates and battle brothers, reminiscing about the war and his childhood friend Sergei. "What have I gotten myself dragged into Sergei?" His voice deep gravely and dead, his Russian accent barely audible as he asked the emptiness around him. He sighed and drew himself up into full height, the 6"6' mountain of muscle that had gotten him the nickname 'Titan', he pulled his mask back up and over his nose, covering the horrific scars and showing only his dead eyes, the warmth once in them now diminished, leaving only an intimidating look. He glanced down at his watch and rolled his shoulders, relieving the tension as he mentally prepared himself for the journey ahead. He stepped out of one of the doors and bumped into a man wearing ODST armor like himself. "Apologies, I wasn't watching where I was going" he said as he held his hand out to shake in apology. "My name is Krevchenkov, not many helljumpers around here" he said as he stood up straight. (OOC, I'm out of practice, sorry if I barge in like this \end OOC) At the bump, JC immediately backed up, only loosing balance momentarily. Seeing the sheer size of the man, he immediately noticed a few things. First, he was glad to not be the only other helljumper on this craft, and second, he noticed the rank. He snapped of a quick salute. "My Apologies, Lieutenant." he said. "I didn't see you there". Until the game with the Captain came through he was back in uniform as a First Sargent. The man in front of him had the insignia of a Lieutenant. Therefore, until otherwise promoted, the man in front of him was his boss, no questions asked. He listened to the accent, it was Russian to be sure. He was a giant of a man, compared to JC. He chuckled a little as he imagined this man squeezing himself into a drop pod. That would be a sight to see. JC had his helmet off, strapped to his side until needed. "Torngate, JC. Glad to see I'm not the only other helljumper here. There's a captain from Force Recon, but they don't quite have the fun we do." he smirked a little. "What can I do for you sir?" he asked, remembering his military protocol. It may have been rusty but it was still there. Helljumpers may have a little less care about the ranks, but JC was still enlisted and this mountain of a man in front of him was an Officer. That was a difference to respect. (Welcome aboard!)

Lieutenant Alexei (Titan) Krevchenkov
Alexei gave a quick salute back and when he went to speak, he found some warmth in his voice for the smaller man.
"I don't know about more fun, we we're constantly in the thick of things, I would have gladly swapped some of those days" he said, trying to figure out where he had seen this man, then somewhere in the back of his mind, it clicked.
"I just realised where I've seen you, albeit briefly, you were 153rd, like myself, albeit different platoons. But enough of the past, we should keep moving to the briefing." He said as he checked the time.
"After all, ONI wouldn't have nabbed the best of the best... And a Force Recon Captain, for something plain. And while its nice to be called sir again, I hate formalities, call me Titan, sergeant, most others do." He said friendlily, humor in his voice as he started walking forwards toward briefing.

Our group. 153rd, second platoon, eigth group." He thought back, trying to recall this man. "I think i saw you but I'm not sure." He nodded his agreement and moved along. "Well he got me a job so I won't bash him, I'll be working for him after this, a way to get back in it." "Yes si... Titan." He corrected himself. "Call me JC.such shorter than sarge." He said, glad to talk to someone from his past.

Lieutenant Alexei (Titan) Krevchenkov
"Second platoon? I led fourth." Titan said as he listened to JC.
"I just hope we don't have any brutes to go against, they are hard to kill, especially when you are armed with nothing but a combat knife." He said as they reached the door to the briefing room, the doors opened and he ducked slightly to enter.
He made his way to the far side of the room, sitting in one of the darker corners, so he could see who entered before they saw him.
He reached around to pull his M90 CAWS to his knees so he could rest more comfortably against the chair and checked to make sure that all his combat knives were secure in their sheathes.
He reached into his breast pocket and pulled a stick of gum out, gesturing to JC.
"Want some? Calms the nerves." He offered as he took a piece for himself.

(Question @rixxan , why are you quoting the post you're replying too?)
Nek Dal - T'vaoan Merchant Briefing room of Wolf in Sheep's Clothing Such a friendly group.
Looking up from the simple game he was now playing after finishing sending his messages, the tac-pad off his arm so he could use both his hands to tap the screen, Nek saw as well as heard from the hangers PA system that a ship was arriving. Slipping the pad back over his left arm he hopped off the box and stood a bit more supported in case it was rocky in here. Could have been for how confined the vessel was but surprisingly the arrival of the new ship was barely felt. This little speedster sure was impressive. The T'vaoan sitting himself back on the crate he was on before and watching to see who was arriving now. As they were likely to be all on the same team it would be good for them to see him now and not in close quarters later. Humans tended to panic if he popped up right in front of them, like Ward from before with his reaching for a weapon. One would think with them being on a Human vessel and he wasn't in chains that he was on their side but eh - these former military Humans sure were jumpy.
When people finally started to exit the shuttle Nek tried to wave at them so they saw him but all of them if they saw him didn't make any large notice of it. Huffing a bit at more rude Humans Nek finally left the hanger and headed toward the briefing room so he could hopefully be seen again. He really shouldn't have been so surprised that the Humans were ignoring him. At least ht wasn't being attacked yet.
But he stopped on his trip when his pad beeped at him in a little rhythm. He was getting a call. Stepping out of the main hallway and into a side room to take it Nek was pleased to see it was from Zahl.
And a few minutes later he had finished the call with his Mate and children, letting them know how it was going so far and that he would hopefully know the plan soon. His lil chicks just happy to hear stories from Zahl's pirating days but Zahl wanting to know what was taking so long. Nek just had to assume that this was common ONI practices but could only guess really. But he was finally right outside the briefing room, at least that was marked on the wall. And with a last drink from his nearly empty small thermos Nek cleared his throat and then entered the briefing room.
It was already somewhat filled with what were clearly the Human Black Podders judging by their armor...and they looked armed. Neks normal expression quickly changing to one of fear as his mane of feathers poofed out. Still standing in the doorway Nek quickly raised up his hands and held them out in a 'hold' type gesture as he cheeped out in English.
"Hold on! I was hired for this too, relax!"

Lieutenant Alexei (Titan) Krevchenkov Titan saw the T'vaoan as it entered, and rose in a non threatening manner as made his way towards it. "I didn't realise we had T'vaoans on mission." He said non threateningly to calm any fears that he may have. He pulled down his mask to reveal his missing lips and cheek. "I hope you do not make me regret trusting you, while I have no quarrel, I have fought your kind before." He said holding his hand out. "I am known as Titan, what are you known as, preferably in my tongue, I know only little of yours." He said introducing himself. Faclan

(( Faclan habit I got into on another board reciently so the people reading could tell who I was talking to, I'll stop)) He smiled. "I also would like to avoid them, but Elites are also to be avoided... Let's just say our Modus Operandi doesn't go over too well with them. Something about covert warfare and never showing ourselves? I dunno" he joked, thinking back to the days that he used to do more of that. As they entered the room, he took up station by the door, just out of sight of people entering. He shifted his rifle on his back to not be in the way so much, and leaned it against the wall. Out of habit his hand rested on the butt of his pistol, An M6 SOCOM. Per protocol it was fully loaded. He gladly accepted the stick when offered. "Thanks, I guess I have been on edge recently. It's not every day ONI shows up to a bar looking for you." he said, tisking slightly afterwards. As the door opened, JC jumped when he saw the unmistakable look of a T'Vaoan. He immediately drew his pistol and brought it to ready position near his side. The floofed feathers also made alarm bells go off in his head, which he mistakenly took as a threat. He then saw and heard what the alien said, and replaced the pistol in it's holster. "My apologies, I'm sorry for that... Though you must understand last time I saw one of your kind they tried to kill me. They got two of my friends." he said, relaxing a little and exhaling a breath he didn't realize he was holding in. "JC Torngate. Again, my apologies." he said. He was embarrassed. He had just likely scared someone who was his ally. To do that was uncalled for. He waited to hear the reaction, although he knew Titan had some history with this particular species.

0700 Hours, September 2, 2556 (MILITARY CALENDAR) / Aboard UNSC Wolf In Sheep's Clothing, B-Deck, Briefing Room In orbit above Earth, Sol System
It was time for the briefing to commence, and Second Lieutenant Durant found himself to be the first of the team to enter the room. The briefing room was dimly lit, the only source of illumination produced by the oval holotable that dominated the center of the room. Chairs surrounded the table on either side, and at the far end of the room was a podium -- likely the spot that whomever was responsible for briefing the team would be standing.
Jon made his way over to the table and sat closest to the podium, his brown eyes transfixed on the flickering image of the Orion Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy levitating above the projector built into the table. He leaned back in his seat and relaxed, expecting to be seated there for a long time. Special Forces briefs typically took hours to complete due to the high level of planning that had to go into the missions that SF units were normally saddled with. That wasn't to say he hadn't attended a briefing here or there that lasted almost as long as it took him to blink, but he wasn't about to make any assumptions.
There was a reason why operators referred to these events as "isolation."
Batting the thought to the back of his mind, he glanced at the time on his chatter. 0702. Two minutes since the briefing was supposedly supposed to commence. He laughed. ONI made it a habit to be fashionably late to the party in almost every instance that had them involved, so he expected the brief would not officially start until 0710. That provided the rest of what was to be the "team" time to filter in and get situated.
Despite his relaxed state, he couldn't help but wonder what the Spooks had in store for him and the others. If they had gone through all the trouble of assembling a multi-species team with near-perfect cover stories to explain their sudden absence, than whatever it was they had planned was to be something big, to be sure. Especially if they had recruited him for the job.
Only time would tell what the Spooks were up to.
After a few minutes, the personnel whom were to attend the briefing arrived, each of them taking seats within the room. Jon instinctively tensed when the Skirmisher he had met earlier entered the room; however, he forced himself to relax. Nek was by no means a threat to him or anyone aboard the ship, and while he still wasn't sure where he stood on the alien, there was no reason to make the avian creature feel alienated.
Of course, that went out the window when a Marine in ODST armor entered the room and drew his weapon on the alien. Ward instantly stood up and marched over. "Whoa," he said quickly, shaking his head. "Stand down, Marine. He's friendly."
The Lieutenant relaxed and returned to his seat when the Marine holstered his sidearm and apologized to Nek. The two exchanged words for a few seconds before the door behind them opened. Captain Garcia stepped into the room through the open door. Jonathan instantly shot up from his seat and snapped to attention. "CAPTAIN ON DECK!" he exclaimed.
"Seats," the Captain ordered, waving his hand dismissively, "at ease."
Ward sat down and again, for what felt like the umpteenth time, relaxed. He watched as Captain Garcia maneuvered around the table where everyone was seated before coming to stand behind the podium at the back of the room. Garcia stood there for a moment looking down at the podium, likely typing something in to the control panel that was built in to it. When he looked up, he smiled.
"Welcome again everyone," Captain Garcia said. "Before we begin I would like to remind everyone that what is about to be discussed is classified, top secret, and is not to be repeated outside of these walls. Any violation of secrecy is punishable under the Official Secrets Act."
The Captain's smile widened, though it lacked any warmth or humor in it. Ward was reminded, in that moment, how much he hated dealing with the likes of ONI. "Now that we have the disclaimer out of the way, let's get down to the north gritty. If you'll look at the holo, you'll notice that it has zoomed in on a particular sector of the Orion Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy. That, for those of you unfamiliar with astronavigation, is one of our Joint Operation Zones. Approximately a week ago, we lost all contact with the UNSC and Swords of Sangheilios forces operating in that AO."
Ward's brow arched in curiosity. How was it possible for an entire sector patrolled by both the UNSC and the Arbiter's forces to go dark? There was no way he could see that being in any way possible. Maybe one or two ships going dark, but all of them?
Something wasn't right.
"On the behest of CINCONI, a Prosper was deployed to investigate the sudden comms blackout. When it arrived, they found this..." The image faded away, replaced with a holographic representation of a debris field. Lingering amongst the field of debris were a handful of ships, both human and Covenant in nature. Jon noticed that the human vessels were not UNSC military, but civilian-grade craft retrofitted with both defensive and offensive weapons.
"The ships you are seeing belong to an organization known as the Omega Rebellion, a spin-off organization of the Human League. Lieutenant Ward, I believe you were familiar with them," Garcia said.
Ward nodded solemnly. "Yes, sir," he replied.
The Human League was perhaps the most far reaching and dangerous Insurrectionist organization that Ward had ever seen. They had seemingly materialized out of thin air in 2545, operating almost entirely from the shadows, and were responsible for dozens of high-profile attacks against the UNSC. Jon recalled that they had even once infiltrated the Office of Naval Intelligence itself, masquerading as loyal agents of the shadow organization.
The UNSC learned first hand just how dangerous the group was when it's agents launched a massive assault on SWORD Base back in 2551, with the intent of annihilating Ward's former unit, Oxide Five-Nine. Jon had not personally been present at the battle, but he had heard it was a bloody fight and that SWORD Base had been damaged considerably in the assault.
Oxide Five-Nine hunted the rebels of the Human League for months prior to the Fall of Reach, and for a time, it appeared as if they had defeated them. That was until months after the Human-Covenant War had come to close. Jon sighed, recalling his last mission as a member of Five-Nine, where nearly half of the team was killed on a mission that finally brought the organization to its knees once and for all.
The Human League was not a group to be taken lightly, and if this group was an off-shoot of it, Ward decided that he would take them serious.
Captain Garcia nodded and continued. "The Omega Rebellion's exact goals and intentions are unknown; however, they have teamed up with a large number of former Covenant troops that are openly hostile to both the UNSC and the Arbiter. We're not certain why they have decided to aid human rebels, but they are obviously a force multiplier for the Innies and are likely responsible for the majority of friendly casualties in the JO Zone."
"Our Prowler was able to ascertain the headquarters of the Rebellion, located on Kivantis IV, in the Sepra-Udantis System. It is a former UEG colony that we lost touch with just prior to the conclusion of the war. We believe the planet and its citizens have seceded from the UEG," Garcia explained.
"This brings us to your mission: you are to infiltrate the JO Zone and capture a rebel ship. You will be supplied an AI for this mission to assist you in seizing the ship and, once it has been taken, handling the security codes to allow you access to the Omega Rebellion's HQ. Your ultimate goal is to locate the leader of the Rebellion and neutralize him."
The Captain paused for a moment, his eyes darting between the occupants of the room. "I understand the scope of this mission is broad, so I am willing to answer any questions you may have."

Lieutenant Alexei (Titan) Krevckenkov Titan hid his surprise at the mention of the slaughter and immediately started asking questions. "Are we operating under standard RoE or ONI RoE? Is it just those in this room participating in this mission or will we have men with us? Do we schematics that we can use for deployment? Finally, what are the estimated numbers that we will be dealing with? These are all things we need to know and being ONI, you probably have all this info prepared before you even decided to consider this mission." He said moving to his seat and picking up his shotgun, feeling more comfortable with it. He shook his head a little at the outline of the plan, this wasn't just next to impossible, it was suicide bordering insane. Ward, J. Faclan @rixxan

JC Torngate ODST First Sargent
JC was frowning. This wasn't his kind of op. The ship had no drop pods, nor anything else he was used to. Nonetheless he was hired to do a job, and would carry it out. He didn't like his options though, but he was used to going in blind with little or no info. He'd find hostiles, remove hostiles, and keep going. He placed his rifle back on his back. "Any intel worth a damn? I don't like going in not knowing at least who I'm fighting.
He linked up his helmet to the main display and put it on, but depolarized his VISOR so that the others could see his face still. He did however go through every single file that wasn't secured to him, trying to discern what he was dealing with.

(I was just wondering @rixxan .)
Nek Dal - T'vaoan Merchant Briefing room of Wolf in Sheep's Clothing Annoyances and questions.
Hurking a bit as the first human removed his mask to show that he was missing some items from his flat face Nek just nodded as he ummmed before replying. "Well...at least those Kigs left your best side...Titan." He added after he was informed of the Podders name and shook the hand that was offered. He could sure see why he was called that as the grip was quite strong as he was one of the larger Humans he had seen before. And if he had survived such a clawing that probably added to the name as from what he knew of English Titan meant something unflinching.
"And you can call me Nek - good to meet you Titan and I'll try to not get on your bad side as I doubt I would last long of the soldiers before me lost - I'm more of a Merchant and Pilot."
He then turned to the other Human and glanced at the pistol he was just putting away and managed to stop himself sighing in annoyance before listening to his story again. But he couldn't stop the annoyance coming into his face as he rolled his eyes and then spoke to both of them. "Listen you two, I'm an Alien to you, and my kind tried to kill you in the past. Great. Humans have tried to do that to me before throughout nearly my entire life. I understand you are both soldiers and I'm not so its not as drilled into my head as it is for you two but honestly I don't need to hear that X happened to Y however many days or years it was. The war is over, we've all been through a lot. Lets leave it at the door and just focus on the now and future. It will help us all work together better."
And with that he walked over toward one of the chairs, but turned his head nearly 180 degrees around as he started to sit down and nodded. "Nice to meet you though Torngate, and apology accepted - just best to move on because as time goes on us all working together is going to become more common."
Settling himself down in the chair Nek didn't rise when the Captain showed up but tapped the end of his beak with a respectful nod and then listened as the plan was laid out. Throughout most of Nek was half looking at the middle of the table and half looking at his tac-pad as he searched up the locations and groups mentioned. And once the briefing was underway he was tempted to see if Zahl wanted to come along. It sounded violent and dangerous with the ship boarding and that was kind of her specialty. They would need to get the chicks somewhere safe but she could easily meet them in transit and join Nek's ship with her raid teams...Would be something to ask for after they were finished.
And soon enough it was, the Humans voicing their questions which sure were important but Nek waited until they had stopped to ask his own. Setting his hands down on the table as he tapped the middle finder one each hand. "As you told me nothing about this mission before you contacted me I may be mistaken for this but is my ship to be used to get us into this danger zone? Perhaps myself posing as assistance for this group? And then once the takeover happens both vessels will be traveling to the headquarters? On the subject of the takeover if you are willing to spend more funds I can see if my Nestmate, Zahl, would like to join. She is very skilled and experienced in taking over vessels quickly and with the minimum of fuss and she and her teams would be a good help if you need troops as well."

JC Torngate Briefing Room
JC was still thinking about the past when Nek rebuffed him. He thought it was likely justified, but he kept thinking back to the last time. That last time was seven days after the official end of the war. His squad was assigned to mop up a Covvie resistance cell. Six of them jumped down to the surface. Two made it back. They had run into the Covvies on the outskirts of their patrol area, and it wasn't a squad. There were twenty to thirty T'vaoan waiting for them. The squad had fought them off, but the birds had killed most of his squad in melee combat.
He listened closely to the alien's speech. "I agree, there has been too much bad blood between our two species for far to long." he said. He then leaned back and listened to the rest of the briefing. He waited to see what the ONI spooks had sent his way.

Ward craned his head toward the giant of an ODST when he spoke up, practically interrogating Captain Garcia in regards to the mission. He sighed. Fear and mistrust of the shadow organization was rampant and, quite frankly, entirely understandable. No one knew just how powerful the Office of Naval Intelligence really was; not even Ward, whom had been given the rare opportunity to work within the organization for three years, often glimpsing upon the dirtier nature of the agency every day.
However, despite the general mistrust and fear, there was no real to condescend the officer. Captain Garcia was merely doing his job and relaying the information that he had -- or was cleared to give -- and had no true ulterior motives that Ward could see. Maybe he was just biased after having worked with them for so long, but he felt that Titan's attitude was too overtly hostile.
Captain Garcia stared back at the giant for a moment, seemingly considering his queries before answering. A second passed by in silence before the man's expression turned firm, a professional veil of secrecy replacing his previous amiable appearance. "The ROE for this mission will be left at the discretion of your CO on the ground; however, we would like to see the bare minimum in collateral damage and damage or loss of infrastructure. Your goal is to effectively castrate the Omega Rebellion, not terrorize the general populace of Kivantis whom are suspected to be sympathetic to their cause."
The Captain paused, gesturing with his hand to all the people in the room. "Who you see here is who you get. Your team will fall under the callsign Pegasus, and it will be up to you to further delineate individual callsigns and elements within the team. As for numbers, we have no clear estimate, unfortunately. However, expect resistance to be heavy and aggressive."
Garcia deactivated the holographic terminal built into the table and suddenly the lights flickered on, the sudden illumination causing a momentary shock to Ward's eyes. He squinted until his eyes adjusted to the light, and turned his head when the Jackal Nek spoke up. Captain Garcia smiled. "If you would like your... Mate... to assist with this mission, I am sure that can be arranged. However she and her crew must understand this mission is classified, and I would appreciate it if you give details to her sparingly and on an as-needed basis."
Garcia stepped out from behind the podium and propped his arm up on it, leaning against it. The Spook smiled at the crowd for a moment. "Are there any more questions before I leave and let you all take over the rest of the planning process? All pertinent information on the op can be found forwarded to your datapads via a secure server. Finally, for this mission, Second Lieutenant Ward will be in command."
Ward's jaw almost went slack at the naval officer's last statement. He was in command? He looked around at the people that surrounded him. There were several people whom seemed equally qualified to take charge of an operation such as this, not to mention that one of the men present outranked him by two ranks. Why had he been selected as the commanding officer of the team? What was ONI's angle?
"Lieutenant Ward," Garcia called as if he had read the former Helljumper's mind, "we chose you to lead the team in light of your experience with these kinds of missions. You were a part of Section-III Beta-5 and understand how these missions are handled and must work. Not to mention your impressive service record. You are more than capable of handling this task."
Ward nodded hesitantly. "Yes, sir. I understand."

JC listened to the briefing. He was a tad concerned, and wasn't particularly excited about the opportunity. However, he would give it his best shot. He had little contact with the spooks, but distrusted them all the same. JC tapped into the computers, finding nothing he wasn't being told. He knew the AI of the ship would likely be monitoring him and so only looked at the surface and looked specifically at information pertaining to this operation.
He liked the sound of a small, localized mission with minimum contact. It was more his style, Get in, get a job done, and get the hell outta dodge. "Not to worry, sir. Surgical strikes not Glassing" he muttered under his breath, referring of course to the old Covenant tactic of plasma-wiping entire planets to be uninhabitable. He looked around the group, disregarding most of them as being competent. As the lights went up, his helmet polarized slightly, just enough so his vision wasn't impaired by the increasing light level. He smiled, remembering how much he missed that.
At the listing of his new direct leader, he looked around and studied the man more closely. His full security clearance hadn't been returned yet so he had no idea about the main much, but he studied him all the same. He had the bearing of many battles, and had the noticable swagger of special ops. Helljumper, likely, he thought. Good choice. He nodded to the man, and stood up.

Lieutenant Alexei (Titan) Krevckenkov Titan considered this info and looked to the others in the room. "Well alright then. Ward, this is your party, how do you want to handle this?" He asked deferring to the smaller man, he knew the man judgments would be sound. He pulled down his mask to breath easier and let the rest of the squad see the horrific scars there, better that they see it all now than in the middle of a battle. He moved his jaw a little as the open air hit good exposed teeth and took in a deep breath before taking a seat. He waited to hear the plan. Ward, J. @rixxan

Nek Dal - T'vaoan Merchant Briefing room of Wolf in Sheep's Clothing Questions and raid teams.
"I'd prefer not to tell her that she can't say anything about the mission - she doesn't like taking orders. But you needn't worry about her or any of her Raiders telling anyone about what we were doing. To her it will just be killing some Humans and getting paid for it. She enjoys that and will be more than happy to leave it at that." Glancing down at his tac-pad he started to send his love bird a message before he looked up again and added. "Especially if this group has done anything bad to children before - that is one thing she cannot stand and will need even less reason to get her teams together."
As he waited for that to be answered he started to message Zahl to inform her that a job position opened up for her and her raid teams for this mission. Payment guaranteed. As he was typing this he heard that Ward was going to be the leader. He glanced up to make sure he saw who that was before going back to his message. Letting her know the Humans wanted to hire her and a few of her teams for raid experience and he would get back to her with numbers and information about the group. He knew she would be happy to jump at the chance to be paid for pillaging in addition to likely looting the ship or base. But once that was all worked out he remembered that his last questions haddn't been answered.
"I still have some questions - did you need my ship and myself posing as help for us to get close? How many Raid teams do you want? They come in groups of six. Anything you can tell me about this group because unlike the others here I have no had experience with them before."

Captain Garcia turned his head to look at Nek as the alien asked further questions regarding to the mission. The officer stood there patiently, quietly absorbing the questions from the Skirmisher. "Those are questions best suited for your team leader. Lieutenant Ward, you have the deck."
Ward nodded hesitantly and stood up from his seat. "Aye, sir," he responded smartly. He watched as Captain Garcia left the room, the doors closing behind him with a whisper-quiet snik. Jon turned to the group.
It was a ragtag assortment of personnel not all that unlike that of his time with Oxide; except for the aliens, of course. He regarded them all with a look of nervous hesitation before wiping it away, slipping into his officer role. They needed him to be certain of himself and the mission, and so that was what he would do. Jon glanced at his datapad one more time to ensure he had all the information he needed before reactivating the holotank, the lights dimming.
"Alright, so we have a big AO and a lot of ways this mission could go south. We need a tight alibi to get us within range to do anything worth mentioning or we might as well consider this op a bust," Ward said, gesturing towards the holo of the star system. Enemy ships were marked in red near the round, floating masses that signified planets. "Nek, that is where your... mate... comes in. We will show aboard her ship and make way to the star system. When the rebels make contact, she will advise them that she has ships to help with cause, and offer to exchange supplies as a show of good faith."
He paused for a second to give everyone time to absorb the information. This was going to be a lengthy process, but he knew it would pay off in the end. "We will stow ourselves in the supply crates and ambush the Innies inside one of their ships. I'll have the AI that we will be taking with us disable their outgoing comms so that they cannot signal for help. Our objective will be to capture one of the Innie vessels and pilot it to the target world. Hopefully they'll believe we're headed there for refit and refuel."
"Now, the entry strategy is simple. Stow in the crates, bust out, and kill the bad guys. ROE will be weapons free inside the ship. However, we're gonna need a strategy for taking the ship once we are aboard. Here's the schematics of their standard ship," he said. The image of the star system dissipated, replaced with a detailed schematic of the innards of a Fenway-class Light Freighter, a civilian ship retrofitted with military-grade armaments by the rebels. Fenway's were only marginally smaller than the standard UNSC frigate and sported an engineering section, large shipping bays along the underbelly of the ship, a single hangar, and a small crew area that was situated just before the bridge.
Jon gestured towards it with his finger. "That's what we're working with. There are a lot of bottlenecks and fatal funnels, so if we get bogged down, the chances of us making it out in one piece aren't very inspiring. We need to have a cohesive plan to move through and secure the ship before we move forward in our planning. Anybody have suggestions?"

Alexei (Titan) Krevchenkov "The plan is sound, but if I may make a suggestion, split the team into two and have the first infiltrate via cargo, as you suggested. Team two will enter shortly after via an exterior airlock leading into a maintenance tunnel, giving them free reign of access through the ship, armed with suppressed and close quarter weaponry, I'd suggest a a silenced SMG for the job with a shotgun or assault rifle for when out of things get loud." He paused to catch his breath before continuing. "I suggest this course of action for three reasons, first and foremost, it will whittle down enemy numbers before they know that we are there, second reason, when combat starts they will have to divide their forces to concentrate on two threats and lastly, it will give us a good idea of what to expect when facing the enemy in future combats." He finished standing tall and crossing his arms. "I for one, volunteer for space infil, I don't like the idea being carried in a confined box." He said as he looked Ward in the eyes, thinking that it was ironic, considering the drop pods he used to comfortable drop into battles in. Ward, J.

JC listened to the older ODST. He agreed, but decided to bring his usual combination that he had on him, a BR-55 and his M6/SOCOM pistol. "I too volunteer for space-based unless you want me elsewhere." he said, laughing at the irony of the small box.
He listened elsewhere, otherwise satisifed with the plan. "Sounds solid, when are we heading out?"
((Gaah short and terrible post sorry))

(Sorry for the wait.)
Nek Dal - T'vaoan Merchant Briefing room of Wolf in Sheep's Clothing Better hope you pick a bright primary color.
Nek listened carefully as the plan was laid out. It seemed pretty simple once they were aboard. The issue would be gaining the trust of the Humans to make the trade in the first place...But Nek was confident he could have that part taken care of. Especially if these Rebels had heard of him - which if they were anything like the Human Innie's he traded with during the war at least one of them likely did. But when the ships plan was brought up Nek tapped his left middle claw on the table as he looked it over. It was pretty tight - but he was smirking as he looked it over. These Humans had clearly never seen a Kig-Yar raid team tear through a vessel. Those close quarters and corridors would offer no resistance to them. He knew Zahl had two teams dedicated with shield bearers to rush down corridors and allow for the teams to move through them quickly.
As the others talked Nek leaned over and pulled out a small cord from his tac-pad and interfaced it with the holo projector in the middle. The T'vaoan downloading the schematic and sending it to Zahl so she could formulate a plan for herself and her teams. As that downloaded, Nek still leant over the table, he spoke up after the others had finished. "You both going in from outside with your teams would be good but you need to be sure you have some kind of VERY easy to see marking on you so Zahl and her teams don't see you as an enemy. I don't know if any if you have seen a well drilled Kig-Yar raid team before but they train for speed and violence. You don't want them to have to guess about you because its always shoot first and check after - in case the possible enemy has an explosive or other type of very dangerous device. But I'm sure you can work something out." With the download finished he sat back in his chair before 'ah-ing' and speaking up again.
"Also Zahl doesn't speak any English, I'll happily translate but just something to keep in mind. I'll also likely be able to gain these rebels trust if they have heard of me. I did a lot of trading with the 'Innies' I think you call them during the war and my name is likely known to them. But once we take over the silenced ship and start to head to the base will we be trying to raid that as well?"

( kelly sorry I didn't see your message earlier Kelly - but at the moment we are in the briefing for a post war mission. It is against a human terrorist group where the current participants in the thread are mainly Human. But have one alien in the mix (my T'vaoan Nek Dal) and are likely going to get the assistance of Nek's Mate and her Raiding crews to help take over the ship they need to infiltrate the group. But I would wait for Ward to say if you can join or not because its his thread.)
