Faction & Division: Unaffiliated
Rank: Mercenary
Name: Phun ‘Tatin
Species: Sangheili
Age: 42 [by 2552]
Height: 8' [8'4" in armor]
Weight: 428 lbs [628 lbs in armor]
Appearance:
Phun ‘Tatin is a well-muscled and trained Sangheili female of the Covenant military, something she is devoted and proud to be in for it is a rare honor and privilege for her gender to gain. From her handful of combat situations with Humans and heretics under the elite unit of the Lamenting Consecration, her wood brown skin have a handful of scars but it is hidden under her armor and jumpsuit. Bearing firm orange eyes and clan tattoos of burn dots running under her eyeline and length of her neck, the Weapon Master offset her beauty with gruff personality and devotion to her work.
As the legion’s primary weapon master, Phun wears the purplish-blue combat harness of her status in relation to the Huragok’s skin with a swooping crest of her specially-made helmet and assistance optics to help her dissect and review weapons, also formed in similar shape of a Huragok’s protection harness. On her thoracic cage’s collar, she engraves the Sect’s name around it and her personal legion signil as the veteran weapon master with the depiction of a cresent-shaped huragok with its tentacles around a triple-layered disc.
In her mercenary status, Phun wears a small assortment of weapons on her person; a plasma pistol, carbine and prized Muram telescopic staff. However, her personal and to-go defense is a plasma rifle that have recieved a personal modification as a first detactment from the treacherous San'Shyuum restrictions - its casing have been thickened for a more protective resilence (as well as devastating weapon in melee) with a Sangheili-faced molding at the muzzle.
Strengths:
Phun is a marvelously intelligent female with as much cunning as the Kig-yar that she associate with. Where she isn't the best or more splendid fighter, she make up for it with brilliance. However that doesn't displace her as an incompetent soldier, evident enough to the fact of being a on-field weapon master for the Covenant army for a good portion of the war and working as a independent mercenary for a couple years now. To aid her on the field, or even off, her personal harness is upgraded for fine technological support and variable of capabilities.
Weaknesses:
With her brilliance is an natural pride and she have been known to stick to her designs despite critism, which the Tatin mercenary doesn't take kindly. As a hand-to-hand fighter, Phun isn't quite as refined as the brilliant swordsmen or determined of youthful males, but she knows how to hit and hit hard against the common foes. To others, she'll need a little more tactical thought.
Biography:
Born in the human date of October 10, 2513, as one of the many females of the colonial clan of Tatin on the fringe colony Diligent Grace on a heated midday. Daughter to a young soldier, one amongst billion others in the Covenant Empire, Phun’s life was to be no different than any females; to be trained as the caretakers and links of culture to the Sangheili species while the males served in the prominent oath as eternal warriors and guardians to the theology. However, that changed at the eruption of the Heretic Uprising. Many colonies, including Diligent Grace, was taken into the fold of Supreme Commander Vorok’s war with the division of faith to the Covenant’s leaders and independent freedoms.
War is what Phun was raised into. With the great danger of heretics possibly attacking keeps, everyone was trained such events, and Phun was subjected to a rare moment of equality growing up in the common rooms with males and females. However, the war’s reach never struck the keep’s inner walls but drew close if it wasn’t for the intervention of the Covenant’s army.
Despite the keep being saved and the Uprising officially over when the young Sangheili were eleven, Phun’s generation continued their militia training more deeply than those of the home system at the valid threat of heretics still dwelling in their space. Trained like any other male in combat training while still given the teachings of female expectations, it was needless to say that at age 16, the young Phun was not interested in serving the clan as an outlet of male libido and keeping the papers straight. Given an opportunity that few females before and after the Heretic Uprising, she and other inspired females were allowed into war colleges but noticeably with few acceptable classes that frustrated everyone to no end.
After four long years of determined study and stubborn successes, Phun was allowed into Covenant military and joined in the Army as a weapon master with her technical capabilities that stumped the typical male, much to her personal pride. She served as a simple weapon master on a ward-world to supply patrol sects and units while also working as sentry during the new war against a new alien species. On the planet, ‘Tatinee - like many women - were outcasts to the militant men unless the few attempts to woo her (which never ended well for the hopeful) and so more freely associated herself with her appointed Huragoks or the females of the Kig-yar, who were surprised and impressed with the young Sangheili’s ambitions enough to invite her in their tavern for drinks and little lessons on female dominance.
When she was finally pulled from the world for a real battlefield in 2535 (two years after graduation), Phun was a self-confident and assertive female who concentrated on her works as a Weapon Master than worrying on how others thought, and this very trait was what brought her before the recruit filing of the Sect of Lamenting Consecration after its last weapon master was killed in action.
Since then, Phun ‘Tatinee had been an important addition to the elite forces and did her best in improving armors and weapons. Her most prominent actions were during the Battle of the future Ekdo's Rest by ensuring the weapon placements were probably diverted from the crashed corvette’s engines and its shields capable while maintaining the sect’s equipment, during the Battle of Refuge, she supplied the scattered unit with repaired human arsenals and afterwards, utilized the much-needed upgrades of the growing legion’s war-machine.
-
After the war, Phun took a more independent occupation as a mercenary with Kig-yar support and out of loyalty to her old commanding officer, tend to affiliate with the Swords of Sanghelios more often while still taking to new freedoms outside of male dominance and religious cause. Besides, the more gekz, the more opportunities of handling new gear.
