After the nuclear detonation VIA Admiral Vardy, the remaining Covenant ships fired on the UNSC's frigates and fled the battle to regroup at another moon orbiting Hope. The UNSCs initial fleet of thirty seven warships are burning, melting hulls and only eight active, combat capable warships remain.
The UNSCS Iowa successfully escaped the gravity well and Admiral Klix has taken temporary command of the UNSCS Athenian until the Iowa's state is analyzed.
The UNSCS Yeti, a Marathon Class Cruiser, was destroyed by anti-matter charges after the Covenant ships had retreated. Two other Frigates were boarded and consequently destroyed as well.
Among the active ships are:
UNSCS Tassafaronga - Trafalgar Class Carrier (Frazer)
UNSCS Kilimanjaro - Marathon I Class Cruiser (David)
UNSCS Athenian - Marathon II Class Cruiser (MrKill)

UNSCS Doberman - Greyhound Class Destroyer (@tracker)
