BetaW:
Pad didn't have time to try and crawl away or move her hands to try and stop the massive ape foot coming down on her - he last thought how ugly the bottom of their feet's looked before her skull shattered under the force and spewed purple blood and bits of brain everywhere. The shield had luckily, for Garatus, regained enough of its charge to reform when he ripped it off Pads arm - which was now missing from the elbow down. More purple blood spurted out as the Jiralhanae tromped off toward the remainder of her file.
Nas was currently trying to move along the catwalks to get a proper shot at the last Jiralhanae she could see, crouching as she moved to get into the best position to but a shot right into its brain. She looked down as Cad shouted to watch out followed by a flurry of needles as she heard a bruteshot fire off. Glancing down she just managed to avoid the grenade but it continued on and hit the room above her. The explosive force carrying her right over the safety railing and into empty space. She tried to reach back to grab safety but she was too stunned from the close explosion to do anything as she plumted down to the factory floor, screaming as her ears were full of ringing.
Growling as the shape of his former ally revealed itself Cad unleashed the remainder of his Needles in his direction to watch them harmlessly bounce off the shield he had pilfered or miss as Garatus moved. His rage was added to when there was a loud crunch beside him and Nas was dead as well, her body a mangled heap of broken bones and blood after she had impacted. So he was now alone against two Jiralhanae. Grunting he threw his empty Needler aside and surprisingly his shield as well as he pulled out his sword and held it in his left hand with bow of his arms extended horizontally. In more peaceful circumstances it looked as if he wanted a hug, but it was clear he wanted nothing of the sort as he growled under his helmet, bright purple scarf blowing a bit from a breeze from a broken window. It was pretty clear to a person that knew Cad, like Garatus, that he had reached the end - but he wouldn't go down in the presence of a Gods artifact without a fight for his Faith.
"What, Traitor? Going to order your soldier to shoot me in the back or execute me from over there are ye? Scared of a Kig-Yar are ye?"

Agent Mike Moretti ONI Field Operator
It was midnight by the time Agent Mike Moretti arrived at his destination where he was told the artifact was located. The smell of rain was in the air as thick cloud gradually covered the nightly sky above. He was laying prone across from the ruined factory, looking through a pair of goggles to get a closer look from the safe distance of the roof of the ruined building he was on. For now, it seemed as he was the only one who made it over here so far, but he needed to know if anyone was inside the factory before he could find a way in. Scanning the outside perimeter, he was glad to find that there were no signs of hostiles, and then he went to scan the windows where many of them had broken pieces of glass, or no glass at all. There were so many of them...so many openings for hostiles to look out and shoot him from if they spotted him. He had to be very careful once he made his final approach. He carefully scanned them, and then paused when he thought he saw movement on one of the catwalks, which was the tallest one. He zoomed the optics in for a closer examination, and noticed that the hostile was a Kig-Yar laying down with what looked like to be a Carbine slung on their back.
'Snipers...' He grimaced slightly, making a mental note of the one on the catwalk as he wished he either had a sniper gun himself and was great at using one, or at least someone who was a sniper. He sighed, 'This was more than a solo operation, thanks ONI...' He will just have to make due and try not to get himself killed by the sniper, but if there was one Kig-Yar, there were bound to be others walking about within the factory. It was weird though, as he made sure there were no snipers perched on the roof of the factory to make sure no one was approaching it, like him, but he considered himself lucky that there weren't any located outside.
'Injured? Or...maybe one of the snipers died?'
Those kinds of questions he asked himself silently as he shifted his attention to locate the doors. HIGH-COM only mentioned that they knew about the artifact, and wanted him to get it at all costs, but never mentioned that there were any enemy hostiles inside. 'They must have arrived some time after I was given the report back at the base...' Still, having some sort of back-up would have been nice, but he decided that he couldn't wait for any to arrive since it took him a few hours on foot to get here due to the rubble from the destroyed and ruined buildings in the city. He held his breath when he noticed another Kig-Yar standing in a doorway, looking out toward his direction, but didn't seem to have spotted him. The agent kept still, watching and waiting, and then relaxed a bit once the alien moved back inside and closed the door behind him.
'Yep...not going through that way...'
He spent around ten minutes, studying patterns of the hostiles, while searching for another way where he could sneak in without being detected. By the time he was ready to leave the building he was in, small rain drops fell from the sky, sprinkling for now, but once he made his way down the four stories apartment building, the rain was gradually becoming heavier with bigger raindrops. Rain was perfect cover, especially if it made it harder for the aliens to pick up his scent; at least until he made his way inside. He quickly crouch-walked toward the first available cover, and hid behind it for a few minutes, looking up toward the windows, before he cautiously made his way over to the wall of the factory. He kept low, pressing his back against it, and then headed toward the end, away from the door he saw the Kig-Yar looking out of minutes ago, and turned the corner after peeking around to make sure it was clear. He headed down the other side, deciding to take the back of the building; pausing to hide and wait for a few minutes again before going further.
Once he made his way into the back of the building, he still crept close to the building, and when he approached a couple of doors, he tested them as quietly as he could. When they wouldn't budge, he looked for another way in. There was a ladder that went to the roof of what looked like a store room. From what he could see as he peered into the window, was a large hole near the side of a wall that was destroyed from the war. The hold would lead him down a pipe to a catwalk that was above the box-filled room. Taking a deep breath, he slowly climbed up the ladder to the roof, and then carefully headed over to the hole in the roof. He took a couple of moments to look down, and when he spotted (Kop), he realized the Kig-Yar was sleeping. He bit his lower lip, wondering what he should do if he couldn't sneak passed the alien.
'I guess I'll find out...' He'd rather not have plasma fire up his ass if Kop were to wake up the moment he was climbing down the heavy pipe, let alone if the bird woke up when he was down there with him, back turned. He needed to take him out - no matter what, so the Kig-Yar wouldn't be able to alert whoever else was in here, besides that sniper. He'd rather not kill him, but if that was what it would take...though, knocking him out really hard with a kick to the head would suffice, and then he could find something to tie him up with, or...
'Whatever, I'll figure it out.'
He carefully slid down the pipe, and placed both feet down onto the catwalk as quietly as he could, and eventually made it to the ground after climbing down the catwalk since the stairway was all the way over the other side of the room. He'd rather not risk getting caught walking all the way over there to walk down the stairs - besides, climbing down was quicker. Squatting for a few moments, he eyed Kop that was sleeping in the middle of the room, and decided what he was going to do to him, so he could continue to find the artifact. He edged around the room, disappearing behind the rows of boxes that were around, and slowly stalked over to Kop. He suddenly acted fast when the Kig-Yar suddenly woke up and looked at him in surprise, but Moretti grabbed his beak to hold it close, as he lunged at him; pressing his knee down on his neck to close his airway. The bird struggled against him, and the agent had to use both hands around its beak to keep him from alerting his friends of the ONI's presence.
"Shut...up..." Moretti muttered under his breath, slamming the Kig-Yar's head hard against the concrete floor to try and knock it unconscious.

Llau:
Kop kicked his feet a little as he kept sleeping, looking quite precious as he curled up a little to be in a more comfortable sleeping position. His dreams were filled with calm seas and a nice boat - a fishing rod in his hands as he looked to the side and could see his mother seated beside him as she tried to teach him to hold the pole.
"No Kop, hands closer together, its a fishing pole not a wood axe."
"But Mama...I hungry now!"
"Ssssh, once you learn you'll be able to catch your own fish and then you can come and get food whenever your hungry."
"Like dis Mama?"
"Theres a good boy, pull back and then toss the lure out, that's it. Now we wait for a bite."
"How long?"
"Depends, have patience and think of the nice big fish you'll get to roast up."
Boy Kop huffed but nodded as he sat and watched the end of his lure. He didn't catch a fish that day, but Mama was proud that he had started to show signs of learning patience and had given him one she caught...but now he was out here. Far from the seas and simple fishing, fighting in this war because his name had been picked to fill his Nest's quote for troops. Starting awake as the visions of Eayn drifted away out of the transport window he glanced around as he licked his beak a little and froze when his eyes settled on a armored Human who was watching him. There was a seconds silence before Kop tried to crawl away, but the Human already had a hold of his beak as he was pushed back to the floor as the Human descended on him - Kops bright eyes full of fear. Quiet mmphs came out from his beak but it was mostly air blown into Mikes helmet from his nose before his head was lifted up a bit and then slammed back down. He was kicking a little before but after that he mostly went limp as the knee across his neck did the rest. It was a short struggle before he went limp - he would be very surprised if he woke up that he wasn't dead...but the fish dream was replaced by blackness as his toes twitched a little.
---
Pad yawned and watched the rain plink against the windows she was next to as the night wore on. It was times like this she wished she had long sleeves like Cad as the windows weren't that thick and the cold was seeping in. Shrugging a little she walked back into the main room and called up to Nas, the following Kig-Yar language easily heard by Mike if he had a was to translate it.
"Nas! Pass us down a jacket would you? It's getting cold down here?"
"No way really?! It's leaking up here so you can shut your beak you can!" Cad just rolled his eyes and adjusted his arm armor over his own long sleeves as they kept talking.
"I know you got three Nas, be a pal and toss one?"
"Ugh fine, would Kop want one too?"
"Sink him if he does! Hes in the back room, if he wants one he can come get one."
"Fair enough." There was some rustling before a Kig-Yar coat slowly floated down and poofed quietly on the factory floor. Thanking their Marksman Pad picked it up and slipped it on as she moved back to the hallway and riffled her head around a little in the new nice warmness. Her temporary leaving of her post making her miss Kops plight.

Garatus
Garatus was pleased as the one Kig-yar fell to its death, though he would have preferred to kill it in a less painful manner. His attention turned back as a volley of needles flew towards him, but nearly all bounced off of his new shield as he moved out of the way as best he could. Then... then his vision fixed upon his old friend... now his greatest foe. Cad threw his needler and shield aside and drew his sword, Garatus's upper lip twitched and his pupils shrank to tiny slits.
"What, Traitor? Going to order your soldier to shoot me in the back or execute me from over there are ye? Scared of a Kig-Yar are ye?" Cad said hatefully and mocking.
"You know me better than that bird," Garatus said before barking to his comrade who relaxed and lowered his weapon,"This is between you and me, you win and you walk away free..." Garatus said, his word was his bond.
Garatus threw his Bruteshot aside followed by his new shield, he removed his combat knife and hung it from a high up pipe so Cad couldn't get to it if he tried for it. Garatus refused to fight with a blade, it would be completely unfair. But with his claws, that was as fair as he could make it.
"Lets end this!" Garatus roared before charging at Cad. Garatus closed the distance quickly and began the fight with a swing at Cad's head with claws outstretched, followed by a return backhand with the very same hand. Though in Garatus's current state of rage he wasn't certain whether his blows struck their mark or not.

BetaW:
Cad, despite his blinding Faith and equally blinded anger, knew that he was likely going to die in the coming fight. Even if he managed to drive his blade into his former friends throat the big ape would still have the time to grab him and rip is head off before he fell to his injuries...nothing for it then he growled as he flicked the small switch on his blades handle. It was a rare action for him as Cad often thought of his future shows of faith and how pleased the blade would be to claim more heretics. But the blade of his weapon began to hiss and it lit up. Once embedded it would explode shortly afterward - a good sign that Cad had accepting this end as Garatus charged.
The rage was easy to see in him as well, but Cads acceptance had given him at least some clarity as he simply ducked down, like he still had a shield, and avoided the furious swipe of the apes claws. He saw a chance though and lunged forward, some of his orange hair spines clipped off as the paw swung back around as Cad tries to bring his weapon around in a hook to embed it on the outside of Garatus's thigh - hoping to blow off his leg and make him bleed out slowly and painfully as he walked free...

Roy-001 SPARTAN Gold Four Roy watched as the jackal cowered under it's shield, winging a shot at him that went to far left and to high. He saw his opportunity as soon as it hid itself under the shield. Roy took two quick steps and stomped down onto the shield, all the while flipping the DMR onto his back and sliding the shotgun up with his left hand. Either the birds arm would break or the shield would give, it didn't matter to Roy as he pushed down harder and brought the shotgun to be pointed at it's chest. Roy-001 SPARTAN Gold Four Roy let out a growl as he saw the jackal's shield hold up to his shots. He then saw that it was firing at him, but his advantage was that it was using the slow crystalline weapon. Roy extended his right arm quickly and swatted a large wooden crate towards the jackal, causing a small avalanche around him, however, the crates simply bounced off or exploded into bits as they crashed into his fully functioning Mijloner. Roy backpedaled back into the room he had just been in, taking cover behind the door way while he dug into the satchel. He prepared one of his pipe bombs, holstering his weapons and digging for the matches. He hoped he'd have enough time before the jackal advanced on him.

Tin (Aka impatient lil bitch(<3))
Mission 1:
Hearing gunfire and plasma shots from the storage room, where young Kop was guarding - kinda - Cad just sighed as he called up at Nas.
"Kop is likely dead as is Pad...hide yourself as well as you can, they likely won't know you are up there. Wait untill you have the space for a good few shots before you open fire but its down to us now." Nas just gave a quiet affirmative cheep as she moved from her position laying int he middle oft he catwalk to be aginst a wall behind a good amount of cover as she peaked out to watch the hallway. Hoping that Kop had managed to do something or that reinforcements would arrive soon.
Eyes wide as the Demon stormed toward him Kop, being young and inexperienced, took a gamble with the Demon and rather than trying to fire again he threw his pistol away and tried to hold up his now free hand in an hold gesture. But that didn't stop the boot coming down onto his shield, his own head slammed into the ground from the force as he screeched in pain from his arm snapping as well. Starting to weep as his fingers twitched a little and shield generator flickered and failed Kop tried to look up through his hazy vision to see a shotgun pointed at him. Slowly shaking his head Kop twitched his broken arm and tried to hold up his free hand as he cheeped out a quiet plea.
"N..no...no Master, mercy please!" That is of course if the Spartan had translation software.
Results: Cad (Waiting and guarding), Pad (Dead(Headshot)), Kop (Begging for life), Nas (Waiting for a target)
--------------
Mission 2:
Hissing at the Demon as it leapt away from the seeking death needles Cad was then thoroughly confused as the Demon threw boxes at him...but Cad would take it as he took the time to reload. Doing his best to keep his eyes on the boxes in case the Demon leapt over them at him Cad was confused when nothing happened. But a quick glance around didn't reveal any more Humans or Demons outside the windows. Cad assumed this was some kind of Demon trick to get him away from the artifact. That wouldn't be happening.
"Keep your ears open...this may be a ploy to get us away from the artifact and get us killed one by one. It may try to come through a different window." Nas just clicked in affirmation as Cad waited with a loaded Needler as he tried to keep his eyes roving around so this Demon wouldn't surprise them...but he couldn't keep some fear edge into his confusion. A Demon was here, creatures of Myth that had already killed half his file and he doubted it had even bit hit yet.
Results: Cad (Wot...), Pad (Dead(Stabbed in the throat)), Kop (Dead(Crushed Neck)), Nas (Scanning for target.)

CPO Kenny-A120 - “Shadow 1” UNSCN: ONI - Sierra III, Alpha Co. AMG Transport Dynamics Factory (Asklon) - Undisclosed, War-torn City 2024 hrs (8:24PM)Chief Petty Officer Kenny-A120 watched the altitude meter of his Long Range Stealth Orbital Insertion Pod rapidly decrease as it entered the planet’s atmosphere. The amber, orange, and yellow light of flames became part of his pod’s view before the air-brake mechanism deployed and the falling rock slowed to a manageable (and survivable) descent speed. Within seconds, the altitude meter reached zero and the a bone-rattling impact caused Kenny’s body to pump adrenaline. He pulled out his M6C SOCOM from his right thigh magnetic holster before the hatch flew open and was already scanning the visible area to his front which was roughly 90 degrees of visibility. When it was deemed clear, he shot out of the insertion pod with swiftness and precision and pivoted to his right to go around the obstructing pod to check for hostiles and then did it once more to the left side of the pod. His augmented vision didn’t pick up anything out of the ordinary and his HUD did not fix in with its IFF scanner. The Spartan III holstered his sidearm and drew his suppressed MA5K from his back plate and he took a knee with the carbine at a low-ready. With a few intentional thoughts, Kenny brought up his TAC-MAP, but only filled the left side of his HUD so his right eye kept a lookout for any possible contacts. With a few seconds of map recon, he identified the structure he needed to go to and placed a NAV marker on top of it. After that, he zoomed in on the location to identify points of entry and placed markers where possible enemy lookouts might be. Kenny’s intel did not have the precision he wanted to hear. The threat assessment was summarized as at least an Alien squad, but there were no visual confirmation. That meant he was going in blind. He didn’t know his opposition or what their armament were. All he knew was his mission and location. If he could get some “eyes in the sky,” he’ll be able to get a fair warning before he ran into some Aliens and possibly see enemy movement in order to identify his odds, but this mission was not high in priority so his support was lacking. So stealing an enemy artifact that could cause additional deaths and destruction to humanity wasn’t high in priority? Or was it because the UNSC brass thought that the Sierra IIIs were expendable since they were less expensive than the ORION II project? Kenny smirked as the non-typical though crossed through his mind. He shoved the thoughts to the side and did what he did best; finishing the mission. His thought processing accelerated as he made quick and decisive plans. He was roughly six kilometers from his objective with many infrastructure in his path. He could’ve easily taken a civilian vehicle and save his energy for combat, but that was the lazy route. A120 minimized the TAC-MAP and started to move Southeast to the NAV marker. He didn’t waste time crossing open areas with a mixture of his photoreactive coating and his superhuman speed. He was careful with traversing through the dense urban environment; making sure the he checked his left and right and vertically scanned for possible ambushes via open windows in tall buildings or rooftops. He missed MOUT operations. Most of his mission were in rural areas where the trees, tall grass, and rocks were his only cover. Being forced to crawl through an open field felt like a job reserved for snipers, but it was necessary for a stealth approach. Kenny checked his distance to his objective. 3579 meters left. At this rate, he’ll be there within ten minutes. (OOC: Faclan, go with your setting. I'll be making my entrance next post! And if Kig-Yar have good hearing, they would be able to hear a sound similar to a falling mortar, but an impact like a dud lol )

SPARTAN-A120(Don't think they would be able to hear stuff 4 km out when focused on other things when inside a building :> ) As the night started to roll around the factory Cads file started to get more and more inattentive. Some were doing better than others but all of them had been through a battle during the day so its not surprising some of them were struggling. Cad was going to call everyone together into the main room to set up a watch and sleep rotation soon...but going to wait a few more minutes as he wanted to have a little time examining the Artifact rather than just staring out the windows at the darkness. Well semi darkness really as his Kig-Yar eyes let him see out pretty far but it was still just a whole lot of nothing. Shifting from his slow circuits of the main factory floor Cad started to walk directly toward the Artifact itself that was just sitting in the middle of the floor. He had never gotten a good look at it before as he had been busy calling it in to the Commanders and making sure the place was secure...and he had been averting his eyes since then. Why? Was he worried of The Gods wrath? Shouldn't he have nothing to fear being one of the Faithful? Similar quandaries ran though his head as he started to slowly circle the artifact instead. Taking in its details and of course its beauty. Nas, who had gotten sick of watching Cad walk around and around and around again had flopped over from her front onto her back as she rubbed at the back fo her neck and looked up at the night through the skylight above her. Taking out her jacket from the pack beside her and folding it up before slipping it under her head as she rubbed her arms a bit. Was probably going to get cold tonight, so she would have to decide on either having a nice pillow or a blanket...decisions decision she mulled over as she tried not to just fall asleep right there. Pad had also taken out her jacket and was using it as an arm rest as she sat on the chair at the table in the connecting hallway - bored. How she wished she had her PP with her but it had been broken a few night ago so she was without any kind of entertainment. All she could do was just wait for her turn to sleep to make this loooong night pass a little quicker. Grumbling a bit about her boredom she pulled out her plasma pistol and flicked open the hatch on the top, doing some basic cleaning to have something to do. The storage room however would have barely audible breathing as a few minutes ago Nas had given up trying to patrol the storage room and had found himself a quiet little spot between some boxes around the middle of the room and had curled up with his jacket on to sleep. Pistol and blade beside him as he seemed to be laying on a wood pallet with his hands under his head. Didn't really look that comfortable really but apparently the younger Kig-Yar needed it as it had not taken him long to fall asleep. Perhaps if any baddies showed up they would take pity on the snoozin chick. Results: Cad (examining the Artifact), Pad (Borrrred on the table in the main floor and storage room connecting hallway), Kop (fast asleep in the storage room), Nas (Trying not to doze off in main room catwalk) As a quick reminder the basic factory layout is pretty simple; the main floor where the artifact is which is the biggest building (where Cad and Nas are). The hallway to its side where Pad is chilling, and finally the storage room on the other side of the hallway where Kop is sleeping. You are free to have any kind of dangerous machines or spikes or hooks on the walls or hanging if you wish in any room for assistance in the mission or for a place for the Kigs to go after they have been dealt with.

CPO Kenny-A120 - “Shadow 1” UNSCN: ONI - Sierra III, Alpha Co. AMG Transport Dynamics Factory (Asklon) - Undisclosed, War-torn City 2035 hrs (8:35PM)(Tag: Faclan )Kenny checked the time when he was within 500 meters of the NAV marker. He came to a kneel behind a steel cargo container and checked his TAC-MAP while keeping his photoreactive coating active. As long he didn't move too swiftly like he did when cross the open fields before, his SPI Mark II would blend right in with the environment. Especially with low-light conditions, he was nearly a ghost. His position was bad. The location was bad. The factory was located in an open field with roughly 400 meters of space from its gates to its walls. In addition, the tallest structures that once stood were leveled from a battle that occurred not too long ago. Even if there were structures still standing, the Spartan doubted that it would be stable enough to support his weight. He close the TAC-MAP and observed his surroundings for a few seconds. He took a hard look at his previous marked locations to see if they were suitable observation points, but they lacked in height. He needed a view into the factory, but his options were being scratched off like a procrastinator’s to-do list on a Friday. The Spartan was officially flying blind with the only reliable intel being the description of the item he's suppose to retrieve and a rough estimate of the opposition. The Chief Petty Officer took a deep breath before he crouch-walked to the corner of the cargo container. There was a two-way street before he would be near the gates of the complex, but he stopped himself from rounding the corner when a dark circular object caught his eye: a manhole cover. He grinned to himself before he checked his surroundings for any contacts. His movement was slow and deliberate; rotating at a slow speed so his photoreactive coating had enough time to refresh itself. When it was considered clear, he cautiously made his way to the manhole cover and kneeled next to it when he arrived. After scanning his surroundings once more, he attached his MA5K to his back plate and drew his M6C and a combat knife from their respective places. He had to make this quick as he was out in the open. The Spartan eased the tip of the blade into the edge of of the metal cover and pried slowly. When there was at least an inch of space, he used the fingertips of his armored right hand to replace the blade of the knife. As he continued lifting the cover, he sheathed the combat knife and switched hands in lifting the cover until it was halfway and took aim with his pistol into the entrance of the sewer. He was not taking any chances and the current location of his opposition were unknown. With the assistance of his VISR, it confirmed clear so Kenny took the lid off and placed it to the side. He climbed into the manhole and replaced the cover before dropping down to the wet surface below him. The drop was approximately 20 feet in depth which would easily break bones for an unaugmented human. Kenny expected a splash, but landed onto cement. It seemed like the city hadn't seen rain for quite some time. He brought up the schematics to the sewer and highlighted the quickest route that led to the factory. He didn't expect the Aliens to be underground so he closed his distance with speed. He was thankful that the tunnels were large and built like subway tunnels. After a minute of navigating the maze-like sewer system, the Spartan’s HUD revealed that he was directly below the NAV marker he placed since his landing on the planet. There had to be an entrance leading upwards so he scanned for one. It took the Spartan another minute before he spotted a ladder leading upwards at the end of the hallway. Based on the map, this would take him into the generator room located down the hallway between the storage room and the main building. His adrenaline level rose slightly as his left foot touched the first step of the ladder and increased incrementally as he proceeded upwards. He was careful to keep his trigger finger out of his M6C’s handguard as he was using his right hand’s fingertips to climb. In case he slipped, a negligent discharge would not occur; spoiling his element of surprise. When he reached the top of the sewer exit, he used the VISR’s visual enhancements to scan for targets throught the slits of the hatch. When it was clear, he tried to lift the hatch, but it didn't budge. “Might be screwed down from topside,” Kenny thought. A120 holstered his pistol and placed his right hand on the bottom of the lid while he planted his feet and left hand on the bars of the ladder. He hoped the ladder would hold or it would cause an audible noise to attract unwanted attention. When his left hand and feet were in good positions, he slowly tensed his muscles and pushed upwards with his enhanced strength. A small creaking noise caused him to stop momentarily before he continued pushing. After what seemed like minutes of pushing, the cover finally gave way. There was a light metallic sound that emitted from the screws separating from the floor, but that was the least of Kenny’s problems. He carefully slid the cover to the side and eased himself out of the manhole. He replaced the cover and took out his suppressed MA5K Carbine afterwards. Kenny then cautiously approached the door leading to the hallway by making his way up the five steps. The door was solid and lacked any sort of view out into the hallway so he had to improvise. He placed the side of his face to the door and listened carefully. There was a sound of snapping like a lid closing and opening. It sounded familiar, but Kenny couldn't place the sound with the image. There was definitely some activity on the other side of the door so he switched the safety of his MA5K from “Safe” to “Automatic.” He tried for the knob and was satisfied it was unlocked or he would've been forced to kick the door down since his side also had a key lock mechanism. He was actually surprised an armored vehicle factory still utilized key locks instead of keycards, hand scanners, or other modern technology. When the knob reached its limit of rotation, the Spartan swiftly tore it open, but stopped it short from slamming into the wall with his left hand. A split second after, he acquired a target with the assistance of his VISR in the dark hallway and fired two short bursts at the red-outlined individual that resembled an overgrown bird. His target was Pad.

SPARTAN-A120Pad, who had been leaning back in the chair as she was looking over the internals of her shield generator now with the pistol sat on the table, didn't even hear anything through the windows as the manhole cover was forced open. And the door being yanked open only made her start to turn before the muted gunfire impacted her waist and neck. As she was leaning back the impacts and her own twtiching made her toppl backwards onto the ground, open shield generator falling onto the floor and falling apart in its two main components, pistol still on the table. Clutching at her throat the only noises she could make was quiet gasps as she lay half over the tipped over chair, quickly bleeding out as some of the other Kigs started to move. Kop, who had been awake for a minute after him turning over made his beak bump against one of the boxes, snapped up his head at the sound of some hinges creaking. Shortly followed by a chair being knocked over. His mind instantly filled with all the terrible and aweful things it could bed Kop pheeped quietly in fear and sleepily grabbed his plasma pistol and knife, leaving the shield generator beside his little pallet bed, and stumbled toward the door. As he exited he opphed a bit as he ran into something very solid...but it was just hair in front of him? The Kig starting to look up a squint a little as he thought he also smelt some...shit? But he was distracted by the open door right next to him and his eyes started to move to that, who opened that to let the cold in! The youngest file member unaware of Pad's dying form. Cad, who had been seated on the ground in what he thought was the front of the artifact, continued to just think about his Faith and what it all meant for the Covenant now. The war with the Humans had really tested the Faith of everyone and it really seemed like the Humans were an impossible to wipe out force. There were always more after a certain group of planet had been cleansed...it never seemed to end. But the sound of a toppling chair made him look over as well what sounded like...pained breaths? Quickly unholstering his Needler and tightening his scarf the Major quickly got to his feet and headed toward the hallway, not screaming out for blood just yet as he didn't know what was going on - and because he was confident of having some overmatch...which unfortunately wasn't true. The Major nearly at the hallway, but likely wouldn't be in time to save Kop Having decided on using her coat as a blanket Nas had fallen completely asleep as she lay under the skylight, Carbine over her chest as she quietly slept on the catwalk - unaware they were under attack. Results: Cad (Alert and moving toward the noises of distress), Pad (Dying in the hallway), Kop (Smelling shit and sleepily bumping into somthing), Nas (Asleep in the main room catwalks)

CPO Kenny-A120 - “Shadow 1” UNSCN: ONI - Sierra III, Alpha Co. AMG Transport Dynamics Factory (Asklon) - Undisclosed, War-torn City 2039 hrs (8:39PM)(Tag: Faclan ) Kenny analyzed the results of his two short bursts that struck Pad in the neck and waist. It was the Spartan's lucky break that the Kig-Yar was not expecting his presence which played out in his favor. Unfortunately, the Chicken was leaning back on its chair when Kenny open fired which caused the Alien to lean backwards and trigger a moderately loud thud when she hit the floor. If the sounds of his suppressed weapon didn't draw attention, it would be the chair hitting the floor that would be the suspect. Kenny froze in his position to ensure that his photoreactive coating had time to blend in with the dark hallway. He kept his MA5K aimed at the dying Pad and was about to finish her off when a door to his right suddenly opened. His head shifted slightly so he could see who - or what opened the door. It was another Chicken who looked like it was awoken from its slumber and was about to walk right into the Spartan! Kenny didn't make a move and thought it would stop in its tracks to observe the commotion, but to Kenny's dismay, it made physical contact with the 7 foot Spartan and was knocked back slightly. Judging from Kop's reaction, it was obvious that the Kig-Yar was too tired to see Kenny and his ghostly figure clearly in the hallway. When Kop turned left to observe the open door that Kenny had recently entered through, Kenny took this opportunity to incapacitate the Kig-Yar attempting a swift jab of his carbine's buttstock into its throat, intending to force it back into the storage room and quietly as possible. After that, Kenny quickly closed the door behind him, but gently sealed it when it was close to the door frame and locked it with his left hand. Then, he tried to jam the suppressor of his MA5K into the face of Kop and stood over him in a threatening manner.

SPARTAN-A120Her kicking now becoming very weak Pad only barely saw Cad above her, trying to help her, before she went limp with a last gurgle. Purple blood now all over her hands on the concrete floor around her neck and waist. One chicken down. Having just reached his file member to have her die in his arms Cad was understandably a bit angry now. And he snapped his head up just in time to see Kop stagger back into the storage room wheeling his arms and then the door shut behind him...That showed him everything he needed to know. Flicking his arm to turn on his shield he grabbed Pad's plasma pistol and quickly backed up into the main factory floor. But staying near the hallway as he attached the spare pistol to his belt and pulled out his Needler. "Nas! Nas we are under attack!" He screeched up at the rafters as he tried to watch the storage room door. Hoping his dark adjusted eyes could deal with the extreme brightness of his shield before he needed to fire, Needler held tightly as he waited. Startling awake when Cad shouted Nas luckily didn't flail her way right off the rafters as she looked down to the bright pilot light of Cads shield as she guessed what was happening and slipped her jacket on the proper way before grabbing her Carbine and sighting in on the hallway, rubbing at her eyes every so often to try and get herself more awake. Kop, who had started to look back at the air when he heard shifting, just guhed quietly in pain as he was shoved backwards into the storage room. Starting to reach up to hold his hurt throat as the door closed seemingly by itself. Already off balance the stuffing of the suppressed against his face made the Ruuthian topple backwards onto the ground as he acked and now held just under his right eye where he had been poked. And finally it was now, on the ground with his pistol having been dropped when he fell, that he saw the ghost. The quick movement and the door behind that the armor hadn't fully adjusted too letting him pick out the Demon now standing over him with rifle pointed at his head. Managing a little fear filled whimper Kop raised up his hands and clasped them together toward the Demon, in a begging motion, but trying to speak with his hurt throat proved more difficult. "M...huhh....uhh...Mercy!" That is of course if the S-III had translation software. Results: Cad (Rousing the marksman and preparing for battle), Pad (Dead from shot throat), Kop (Stunned, gagging, begging for mercy), Nas (Quickly trying to prepare)

CPO Kenny-A120 - “Shadow 1” UNSCN: ONI - Sierra III, Alpha Co. AMG Transport Dynamics Factory (Asklon) - Undisclosed, War-torn City 2041 hrs (8:41PM) (Tag: Faclan)Kenny was about to pulled the trigger when the Kig-Yar clasped its hands together and motioned towards him as if it was begging. When it started to speak, Kenny activated the his suit’s translation software and listened as Kop said with gasps and a bit of choking, “M… huhh.... uhh… Mercy!” “Huh, this Chicken is trying to beg for its life,” Kenny thought. The Spartan knew he didn’t have enough time to linger around the storage room because the dead body of Pad would certainly be found and his element of surprise would be diminished by then. He quickly initiated a hasty interrogation with his translation software, but kept his MA5K aimed at Kop’s face. He made sure the audio output was on a low volume so only the alien within the room could hear it. “How many are in your team?” he said while the suit dished out a translation in the Kig-Yar language. Kop apparently had some difficulty speaking because of the blunt impact that Kenny struck him with and tried to clear his throat a bit before speaking, but only manage a cough followed by a chirping and cheeping. Kenny became irritated the cheeping of the Kig-Yar and shouldered his carbine in a more threatening manner before Kop gave out his answer. “F- Four…” Kop said in a low voice that sounded like a series of cheeps and chirps before Kenny’s suit translated it into the English language. “Do you have any back-up? Support?” Kenny immediately questioned after Kop’s answer. “We have Phantoms that… pweh… that will pick us up by dawn… eh… with my team and… the artifact…” Kop said. He had a minor coughing fit shortly after, but Kenny closed his beak shut with his left hand after it became a little too loud for Kenny’s tolerance. Kenny leaned in a bit closer and asked his final question, “Why should I let you live?” He released Kop’s beak so he can answer, but all that came out was coughing with some more annoying cheeping before he finally settled down and said with a pleading tone, “Please! Let me live. Mercy!” Kenny was running out of time and the remaining Kig-Yar team would be closing in on his position if he didn’t wrap it up. He was trained to leave no prisoners unless requested by his superiors, but since the game him some bad intel, he probably didn’t have to kill Kop. He stood up into a neutral pose and and motioned Kop to get up with his left hand. Before Kop could fully stand up, Kenny swiftly swung his right arm in an arcing motion and struck Kop’s head with the buttstock of the MA5 once more; knocking Kop unconscious from the shear force, but reserved enough that it didn’t break bones. Kenny then disarmed the Kig-Yar of any weapons before he flexi-cuffed him and planned his route. The hallway would definitely be a killzone by know so he needed an alternative. He looked around the medium-sized storage room for ideas and found one when he spotted a rear section half-filled with ammunition crates. The crate read, “M41 LAAG, 12.7x99mm.” When the Spartan continued searching the room, he found a crate of gunpowder. Kenny smirked behind his helmet before he attached his MA5K to his back plate, cracked open the crate full of 12.7x99mm armor-piercing ammunition, and pulled out a long belt consisting of roughly 100 rounds. He looked around, but found no M41 LAAG to use the ammunition so he improvised. He laid the first belt of ammunition with the bullets facing the door and laid two other belts under some package bedding so they would be angled up towards the windows of the storage building and out into the hallway. A120 then cracked open a crate of gunpowder and layered a line of powder along the ends of the ammunition belts where the strikers were. When he was finished, he pulled the incapacitated Kop to the back of the room and surrounded the Kig-Yar with some empty steel crates. The Spartan analyzed his distraction devices and made sure they were positioned correctly. This would make the two remaining Kig-Yar think that there was a force larger than one individual after them so that Kenny would have the opportunity to strike from elsewhere and flank them. He just hoped the storage room would not end up exploding from the ammunition cook-off if some ammunition managed to strike the wrong places of the room. After thinking about the possible negatives of this distraction, he walked up to the line of gunpowder with a smile on his face and planted a C12 Demolition Charge in the middle of the line. He armed and set the timer for two minutes and quickly ran to the back of the room. A120 used the shelves of the storage room to help him get up to the ceiling where the large windows were and opened one. With precise movements, he got out the window and leapt upwards with his enhanced jumping capabilities and got a handhold on the ledge of the roof. After getting both hands on the ledge, he pulled himself upwards and made his way towards the main structure of the factory. He took out his suppressed carbine once more and slowly made progress to the main building’s roof. There were broken skylights when he arrived at the main building’s roof and what looked like the aftermath of an airstrike at the other end of the roof. He hoped the roof wasn’t unstable or the wrong step would mean the end of him. Although, his armor might cushion some of the impact if he fell, but it wasn’t as durable as MJOLNIR. He stayed on his side of the roof and took a few peeks through the skylight; being careful incase an OPFOR was looking through the skylights. His movements were slow and steady to ensure that his photoreactive coating was blending in. He couldn’t see any targets so and took a kneel to check his weapon. He had 24 rounds left in his magazine, but a reload wasn’t necessary. After checking the weapon, he repositioned to the skylight on the East of the building and looked around some more. That’s when he saw Nas on the catwalk taking aim at the direction of the hallway with a carbine and on ground level, he saw a glowing personal shielding device that was being employed by Cad. Looks like the odds were in his favor since he had a clear shot on the Kig-Yar. All he had to do was wait for the explosion.

SPARTAN-A120 If the Spartan had any dealings with Kig-Yar before they would see that Kops face was around half surprise half fear that he was seemingly being allowed to actually live. Quickly starting to get up after blabbing about the mission details but he he could live the entire Covenant could Sink for all he cared. Fear from being at a Demons gunpoint obviously. But he had been told that Demons never left any survivors...just widows and single fathers or orphaned chi Was as far as he got into his ruminations as he was getting up, slowly and keeping his hands visible as he kept trying to breath, before he was whacked in the side of the head. The Ruuthian just collapsing back down the ground without so much as a pheep as he was quickly trussed up like the 'space turkey' he was. Soon tucked away in a safe corner from the trap that was being laid, before the Demon clambered out of the room. As the rooks ticked by Cad was starting to get ancy that the door to the storage room hadn't opened to reveal whatever foe awaited him. And Kop was also nowhere to be seen. But he didn't try to click or ping the radio as he didn't want to give the enemy any idea how many of his now half depleted file was left. But he soon backed away from the hallway to be closer to the artifact. In a better position to protect it. At least that was the idea. Nas meanwhile was at least fully awake and had made her Carbine ready to fire as she waited for Cad to engage and then fall back so it would be drawn into her killzone...But nothing came. Rubbing her face some more Nas shivered a bit in the mounting dread and chill of the night even though she had her jacket on as the soles of her feet stuck up toward the skylight. But she finally did hear something...that sounded like something above her. Craning her neck upwards to the skylight Nas probably looked directly at the cloaked Demon before the trap went off. Both Nas and Cad's attention snapping toward the factory floor and hallway as they raised weapons toward all the noises. It would be a difficult shot to hit Cad on the floor because the catwalk was partly obscuring him, but it could probably be done. Nas on the other hand was prone right beneath the window with no cover at all. Results: Cad (Wondering how many heathens are here), Pad (Dead, shot). Kop (Unconscious and restrained), Nas (Worried and trying to look everywhere at once).

CPO Kenny-A120 - “Shadow 1” UNSCN: ONI - Sierra III, Alpha Co. AMG Transport Dynamics Factory (Asklon) - Undisclosed, War-torn City 2044 hrs (8:44PM)
(Tags: Faclan) Just when Kenny had identified the two remaining Kig-Yar, Nas had looked up to find Kenny staring almost eye to eye with her. He didn’t know if his photoreactive coating, but he was lucky enough to have his distraction trigger a short period after the soft contact. Flying 12.7x99mm armor piercing roundings were echoing through the entire complex like a chorus of death. It’s was an equivalent of Claymore mine utilizing large caliber rounds instead of ball bearings; a wall of destruction that would catch any opponent if they were caught at the wrong place at the wrong time. The sounds of shattering glass, ricocheting rounds off steel beams, and penetrating the walls of the main factory building on his right side. A120 waited until the distraction died down and analyzed the results of his work. The interior of the factory was full of smoke and dust, but the visual assistance of his VISR gave him a semi-clear picture. The Kig-Yar on the ground floor had his shield up facing the hallway and was frantically looking around. The Kig-Yar on the catwalk, presumed to be the sniper, was doing the same thing, but was in a prone to avoid getting struck by the hot, flying lead. It seemed like the distraction also had a disorientating effect which Kenny immediately took advantage of. He took out his only two Flashbangs and then pulled the pin on both; tossing one to the catwalk, then one to the ground floor where the shielded Kig-Yar was. The sound of the first loud pop initiated and two seconds later, the one that was tossed at the ground floor exploded, but more faint due to its distance. With time running short, Kenny leapt through the skylight feet first; intending to land a crushing blow onto Nas with nearly half a ton of armor and Spartan and the factor of the gravitational pull known as momentum.

SPARTAN-A120Despite the cover set around his unconscious form it was still a minor miracle that the fire or explosions or pinging bullets didn't hit the curled up form of Kop. But the flopped kiggle remained flopped and just had some dust, dirt, and scratched off paint fall on him from the trap going off. Both Nas and Cad wouldn't even notice the small special packages for them being dropped from the skylight down to them. As they were too busy looking at the supply room door that was now dented with some holes in it or the floor where some smoke was pouring from the trap. But Nas did have a moment to look over as something boucned right off her rump. Just in time to see the small cylender of the flashbang tink against the catwalk room before exploding right next to her face, shortly following to the one that was about ten feet from the factory floor. Both Kig-Yar that were still operational would be compeltly deafened from the loud bangs and both of them also pretty badly blinded from the flashes. Nas more so because she was looking at it but Cads vertical shield also caught a lot of the flash and blew it right into his face, and the Ruuthian's Kigs upper centered eyes on their beaks made Cads eyes catch a lot of it anyway. Nas actually dropped her Carbine compeltly as it started to fall toward the factory floor as she screamed and clutched at her just on fire head. Curling up and trying to hold in all the pain. At least she didn't have to worry about it for long as her chest was completely crushed by the Demon dropping down on her. A large amount of purple blood and gunk splurting out from her beak from all the force that went all over the catwalk and falling down as she made a loud squelching sound. The catwalk also, despite the helpful padding of the Spartans jump, made a groaning and creaking noise as it seemed to have not liked that at all. The older factory catwalk perhaps not made to stand up to that much weight falling on it. At least the ladder was just a short hop away in the entire thing decided to fall. Cad, while he had nothing fall on him, was still on the ground clutching at his head as he screamed as well. Unfortunately for the Demon his shield was also completely covering his curled up form. But his Needler had been dropped when he collapsed. Cad having rolled around a bit before curling up so he was thankfully no longer right under the creaking catwalk. But he still had Kops plasma pistol as well as his crystal saber on his person. (Up to you if the catwalk fails. Poor Kigs and their better hearing and eyesight, flashbangs would really mess them up. If you wish to end it you can or if you wana fight Cad or saunter down the ladder and snapping his neck thats also fine. Was a fun little experience ) Results: Cad (Blind n pretty deaf), Pad (Dead), Kop (Snoozin), Nas (Blind n Squished, and possibly falling)

CPO Kenny-A120 - “Shadow 1” UNSCN: ONI - Sierra III, Alpha Co. AMG Transport Dynamics Factory (Asklon) - Undisclosed, War-torn City 2046 hrs (8:46PM)
(Tag: Faclan ) The ten feet drop from the roof's skylight down to the prone Kig-Yar did not seem to have the velocity to kill it, but when Kenny landed on the back of Nas, purple blood erupted from her beak as she dropped the Carbine down to the ground level. The Spartan's drop critically wounded Nas, but she was still barely alive. Kenny's analysis of Nas was cut short when he heard creaking and groaning emitting from the catwalk. A brief moment later, a thin steel pillar that bolted the catwalk to the ceiling snapped loose followed by two more pillars. The catwalk began to lean downwards as Kenny's weight forced the platform to destabilize. It seemed liked his distraction had further damaged the catwalk which Kenny recklessly did not take into account. Kenny rapidly looked around for an escape. He spotted a ladder to his right so he pivoted and leapt for it. He got a hold of one of the ladder's bars with his right hand, but it snapped. He tried to get a grip with his left hand, but to his dismay, that bar also snapped. The Spartan fell roughly 50 feet to ground level and landed on his back. His gel layer had taken most of the impact, but he got the wind knocked out of his lungs and something had broken when he landed. He rolled over to his left and got into a kneel to check on Cad and Nas with his M6C SOCOM. Nas had fallen, but landed with the catwalk before the force of the impact rolled her to the right and onto the ground level; assumed to be dead. Cad, on the other hand, was obscured by the fallen catwalk, but the red aura from his shielding device was giving away his position. After assessing the current situation, Kenny pulled out his MA5K with his left hand, but was disappointed to find his carrying handle and electronics suite dented from his fall not too long ago. The ammunition counter on his current magazine incorrectly displayed a red "00", but the last time he checked his magazine, it contained 24 rounds. He pulled the charging handle of the carbine to eject the current round in the chamber to cycle another round from the magazine. The round ejected without a hiccup so Kenny proceeded with the weapons check by switching the safety from "Safe" to "Auto" and fired a short burst over Cad's current position. It seemed liked the targeting systems were still intact since he was able to see the carbine's reticle on his HUD. To further satisfy his confirmation of a functional weapon, he emptied the magazine over Cad's position again to see if the weapon would jam, misfire, fail to feed, or fail to cycle. The MA5K obviously didn't show any signs of malfunction besides its electronics suits, but Kenny wasn't taking any chances. He placed the MA5K on his back after reloading a fresh magazine into the weapon and cautiously made his way to the fallen catwalk with his M6C aimed; intending to retrieve the Carbine that Nas had dropped. On his way to the location, he spotted cubed object to his right side at the center of the factory floor. The appearance of the object matched the target description that was mentioned in his briefing and it was a high possibility this object was what the Kig-Yar team was after. Looking over at Cad's last known position with the shield emitting a glowing red hue, he reset his priorities and made a sprint for the objective. He approached the object without stopping; picking it up with his left hand while his right was armed with his pistol and made a run for the factory exit bearing North West. He hopped over a few conveyor belt machines that was once a assembly line for the automated machines and factory employees. Kenny was at least 100 meters from the exit and running at nearly 26 kilometers per hour. He would've been significantly faster if he was in his MJOLNIR.

SPARTAN-A120 Nas, who was quiet dead after being squashed and blinded, just squelched more when she ended up on the factory floor. A mangled pile of Kig-Yar limbs and bones as well as a lot of blood and organs. The Demon had sure squeezed her in its embrace nice and tight. Cad, thankfully not crushed, continued to hold his head as he tried to will his vision and hearing to come back as well as his head to stop ringing. At least his deafness made him not hear the crash of the catwalk falling down. But she sure felt the impact and just curled tighter on the ground. And after, thankfully having stopped screaming, some time he could finally start to see the red of his shield again. The Major having a moment of shock that he was still alive. The Ruuthian trying to sit up as he patted around for his Needler through still hazy vision. But then one thing did jump out to him before he had laid eyes on the Needler. THE HOLY ARTIFACT WAS GONE!Scrabbling to his feet Cad rubbed at his eyes as he nearly tripped over his Needler and tried to get some kind of sense back to see what happened to it! His vision was the first thing to come back as his ear holes were still just blocked by ringing as he spun and scanned around for the Holy relic. The fallen catwalk with Nas and her carbine was the first thing he saw. Slipping the Needler onto his right hip, Pads plasma pistol still on his left, he grabbed her Carbine and gave her a quick wish for smooth sailing toward the Great Journey. Deactivating his shield and tossing the carbine over his back to attach it to the magnets there as he kept looking. There it was! A Demon...smaller than he had seen pictures of but a Demon none the less! Fleeing with the Holy Relic. Just starting to be able to hear again Cad screeched after the Demon and gave chase. His purple scarf fluttering a bit but still tight around his long neck as he leapt clean over the conveyer belts and bolted out the door after the Demon. Almost certainly suicide for Cad, but he wouldn't just return as the 'sole survivor' of his file and with no artifact, he would rather die ensuring his place on that Journey. The Majors shield currently off and his hands empty so he could run as fast as possible, knowing he would need the most speed he could muster to stand a chance of catching the Demon. The Demon, from his still slightly spotty vision, heading toward one of the other dilipated factories on the industrial estate. And although Cad couldn't read the sign it was still legable with 'Asklon Waste Management Facility'. Likely full of old trash compactors, water treatment vats, and old garbage trucks. Kop, meanwhile, was still happily snoozing away in the storage room. Perhaps left behind or maybe just saved for later. As if he did awake before his Major or the Demon came back for him he would find it very hard to move. Hopefully he would be picked up at some point so he didn't starve to death. Results: Cad (Doing his best to chase, armed up well), Pad (Dead, shot), Kop (Snoozin and being left behind), Nas (Dead, squished and crushed)

CPO Kenny-A120 - “Shadow 1” UNSCN: ONI - Sierra III, Alpha Co. AMG Transport Dynamics Waste Management Facility (Asklon) - Undisclosed, War-torn City 2047 hrs (8:47PM)
(Tag: Faclan ) Kenny had bashed the exit’s double doors open by ramming with his left shoulder and made a mad dash for the first building he saw. It was roughly 100 meters away, but the building was still within the factory’s property since he didn't encounter a barbed wire fence. He passed a nearby sign which read, “Asklon Waste Management Facility.” As he got closer, he noticed the waste facility was in good condition even with the battle that passed over the location. The Spartan stopped short of the building’s entrance to check his six and the factory he ran away from to see if he had any company. Not expecting to find a Kig-Yar, Kenny avoided going through the main entrance and rounded the right side to find a back entrance. He looked back once more while he was running. The Kig-Yar that was pursuing looked like it was coming to get some revenge for his fallen comrades. Judging by the way Cad was running, Kenny assumed that he was out for blood with suicidal intentions. Cad had his shield deactivated, empty-handed, and was sprinting like a coked up chicken. Kenny regained his focus forward and scanned for a entrance into the building as he slowed to a fast jog. He attached the artifact onto the lower back portion of his suit and rounded the end of the building and found three large garage doors along the back of the building. The e tire complex was slightly smaller than the factory and shorter in height, but would be the next best location to setting up a hasty ambush for Cad. He found the third garage door to be open to roughly a fifth of its , but was large enough to enter if he crouched. Crouching was the slower option so as an alternative, he baseball slid through the opening; causing some minor scratches against the corrosive cement floor. He had seconds before the Kig-Yar would make its way into the building so he hopped on top of the second sanitation truck to the right and laid prone to decreased his visual signature. He aimed his M6C with both hands at the opening of the garage door, but scanned his left and right every now and then to make sure the Kig-Yar wasn't going to flank him.

SPARTAN-A120 Taking controlled breaths as he continued to run after the Demon Cad was honestly surprised he seemed to be gaining on the Depts (Hells) spawned abomination. And it seemed to be trying to run around the back of the other Human building...Was it really going to just run and flee from him? No, impossible. The Demon would never just run from a fight - it was obviously setting up some kind of ambush for him around the back. Even if its escape craft was back there it wouldn't be in it. If anything the guns it had would be pointing at him. Going through the factory would be best to surprise the Demon trying to surprise him! So flicking his shield to activate it Cad slowled down a little big as he neared the double doors of the factory, giving a little prayer to the Gods that this work. And that the door would give way. Kenny would hear a muffled squawk from outside, unintelligible through the walls, before the double main doors were busted open from Cad flying through them, all of his weight and force from his run behind his shied as he slid for a bit on his knees and flaring red shield before he grunted and got back to his feet. Tapping a button on his shield as it dimmed before starting to get its color back as it recharged...but now he had to find the Demon in this factory. The Major standing with shield in front of him as he scanned around - non shield arm rubbing his shield arm from shoulder ramming through the doors. But Cad's religious drive wasn't going to be sated by seeing nothing. His shield playing havoc on his eyes that were still stinging from the flashbang before he just drew out his crystal saber and held it high in the air, the blade glowing faintly from the chemicals inside of it. Shield still in front of him as he screeched at the dark factory. "You cowardly Demon! Come out here and face me rather than hiding in your dark hole!" This Ruuthian was sounding a lot like a Sangheili wasn't he? Still in quite a good bit of pain and discomfort the heavily armed and armored Kig-Yar did his best to stand as straight as he could behind his shield, still with blade held high, as he waited for a response for his challenge. Cad ready to run again if he heard Humans engines out the back of the factory. Results: Cad (Screaming his challenge to the darkness), Pad (Dead, shot), Kop (Sleeping in the other buildings storage room), Nad (Dead, squished)

CPO Kenny-A120 - “Shadow 1” UNSCN: ONI - Sierra III, Alpha Co. AMG Transport Dynamics Waste Management Facility (Asklon) - Undisclosed, War-torn City 2049 hrs (8:49PM)
( Tag: Faclan ) The Chief Petty Officer heard a muffled squawk to his five o’clock so he rotated as swiftly as he could towards the direction while maintaining his prone positioned. And there it was. The same Kig-Yar with its red personal shielding device that was recovering from what seemed to be overheating due to its flaring and the murderous intent written across its face. The Kig-Yar Major apparently couldn't see Kenny lying down on top of the garage truck as it scanned around. It was probably the brightness of the shield that hindered the Kig-Yar’s natural night vision capabilities as the red shield returned to its original color to indicate it was at full power again. The Spartan had engaged in combat with many Kig-Yar in the past. Their eyes worked well during both daylight and nighttime when given the allotted time to adjust which made them deadly snipers when caught off guard. He almost lost his head once during a FUBAR operation in which he was shot at by two Kig-Yar sniper teams as he was escaping to regroup and and reorganize with an ODST squad that were supposed to arrive shortly after he disabled Covenant communications. The unfortunate destabilization of the Mark I SPI Armor’s prototype photoreactive coating caused him to get spotted by the sharp eyes of a Kig-Yar sharpshooter and the stealth option was no longer a safe bet. Kenny remained in a statue-like state and observed the Kig-Yar for a few seconds. When Kenny thought it would spot him eventually, he was about to shift to the right to use the truck as cover, but stopped as the Kig-Yar pulled out a sword and raised it with a taunting body language. It suddenly yelled something in its native tongue that his suit picked up and automatically translated, “You cowardly Demon! Come out here and face me rather than hiding in your dark hole!” The Spartan smiled in silence and was ready to meet the Chicken’s challenge, but he wasn't the kind of person to play fair. The Kig-Yar had brought a sword to a gunfight and Kenny didn't want to clean his knife when he returned the ship. He scanned around to improvise the environment to be his weapon against the lone alien so he wouldn't have to waste a pistol magazine to disable the shield in order to get to the Chicken behind it. He didn't see anything particularly fitting his needs so he slowly slid to his right and dropped off the side of the truck with a moderately quiet landing and picked up few pieces of scrap metal with his left hand as he made his way around the tall mounds of trash in the middle of room that kept Kenny concealed from the Kig-Yar’s line of sight. When he was on position in the corner of the building with a dumpster as his cover, he tossed his scrap metal distraction tools towards three different locations; trying to trick the Kig-Yar that there were more than one enemy and attempting to force it to expose its unprotected flanks and rear. If the Kig-Yar was going to turn and reorient its defenses, Kenny would fire 3 rounds at the center mass, but if it did not turn, Kenny would hold fire and play around with his prey for a few more seconds before he closes in for the kill.

SPARTAN-A120 (up to you to pick which option to go with A120 - or even respond to both of you wanted. Cad can have anything behind him to throw him in if you would like.) Option 1: Downed Chicken Still slowly scanning around while trying to be silent so he could listen Cad was finding that he could really hear nothing through his likely damaged ear holes that wasn't either the humming of his shield or blade...But he would be able to hear Human Engines...Right? The Artifact hadn't already been taken away and he had broken through the door just to loose time and make the Holy Artifact impossible to recover? NO! He wouldn't let his mind be full of doubt now when he needed to be as alert as possible to save the Artifact! But the Spartan would probably notice that the Kig-Yar's head would stop scanning around as he was filled with self doubt. But the Major would be brought back to full attention when he heard a quiet pafp behind one of the trucks, shortly followed by impacts all around him. With too many places to look all at once Cad made the gamble to turn toward the one closest to him, to his left. Which unfortunately for him exposed his sword arm to the Demons position. The Ruuthian screeching in pain as the rounds tore through his arm and bit into his torso armor. His thicker armor saving him from a punctured lung for now. The sword clattering to the ground as Cad tried to turn to face where the rounds had come from. But likely too slow and with now only a shield to defend himself it was likely over for him. Even more so as during his turn his injrued body tripped over his own feet and he toppled backwards onto his back as the Demon likely approached. Cad just trying to shift and curl up as much as he could to protect himself with his shield. Trying to paw at a plasma grenade with his injured arm but that was a no go...He would give it a last try once the Demon was closer with his shield arm. Give up his only defense for a final offense. Option 2: Eyein ya up. -Same as above up till the impacts of the scraps- Instead of trying to turn to face the impact to his left Cad instead leapt backwards, toward the door he had burst through, to try and get out of the firing line of however many hostiles were in here. But after landing he tilted his arm to shift the firing cuts on the shield up so he could actually see through them to see the shifting air that was likely the Demon next to one of their big trucks. Putting the shield back to normal to protect his face Cad crouched low with sword held back as he waited for the Demon to approach. Or to be on him if he was already charging to try and slice at his legs once he was close enough! (Hopefully those work, shall be on Skype if got questions.)

( Tag: Faclan ) Option 2:The Kig-Yar did not react as Kenny had expected. Instead of flinching under fear at the distraction the Spartan had created, the Kig-Yar refused to expose his weak spots, but instead backed away towards the double doors with his shield facing into the facility. Kenny observed the Kig-Yar’s next actions, but staying in his position for a little too long had some consequences. With the lack of room to maneuver in his current position, he crouched and remain as still as possible. That was working well up until the Kig-Yar scanned through the firing port of its shield and looked at the Spartan’s location. That was it. The Chief Petty Officer was caught. “Damn those good eyesight of your, Chicken,” Kenny thought. He then bolted from his position in a perpendicular angle to the left of the enemy and fired four rounds from his M6C at the Kig-Yar; intending to surprise it by forcing it to flinch so his movements could be masked. When he made it to the north wall, he hopped on a series of dumpsters until he reached the top of the highest one which was roughly 20 meters in height. After that, he fired three rounds from the high angle in attempt to strike the Kig-Yar from above. Following the three rounds, he hopped off the dumpsters and rolled upon landing to disperse the impact and relocated to the right of the Kig-Yar with an approximate distance of 25 meters. Finally, he fired the remaining five rounds in his pistol, this time with a delay in between shots to increase precision, to try to score a few lucky rounds through the firing port of the Kig-Yar's shield before conducting a speedy reload.

SPARTAN-A120Doing his best to keep watching The Demon through the top of his shield Cad started to lower his saber to the ground so he could grab one of his many ranged weapons. But going slow so he could see if that cowardly wavy air moved. Which was working great up until the air shot at him. Striking his shield right where his head was and making his shield flare and tilt back from the force. Cads grunt of pain was shortly followed by a clatter as his saber was dropped as he heard running off to his side. He needed a gun now. The dumpsters against the wall started to shift and groan under something apparently jumping on them, Cad taking a few shots at them with the plasma pistol he had grabbed but didn't seem to hit anything. And worse off rounds where fired down upon him from much higher than he had aimed originally. The shots from the Demon sliding over his shield to drill Cad in upper gun arm. Cutting through his armor and biting into his bone. Screeching in pain Cad took a few steps back as he tried to hold his shield a bit higher to protect himself, missing the landing and shifting air of the Demon. The Plasma pistol left on the ground where he had been hit as Cad fumbled with his Needler but couldn't get a grip with his damaged hand, and then the remaining rounds were fired in his direction. He thankfully had his shield in the basic direction so he wasn't killed immediately. But the precise shots did slide through the shooting holes and destroyed Cads shield elbow. Making his shield fall with another screech before the following round destroyed the emitter. The Major staggered backwards as three more shots thudded into his chest armor. The thicker armor helping but he was clearly badly injured as his back thunked against the wall and the Ruuthian slid down it into a sitting position. Breathing raspily as his useless arms plopped on the ground beside him. Cad now weaponless as the Needler had been dropped too and now with no shield as the wavy air approached - the carbine still stuck to his back but now pressed against the wall behind him. The helmeted scarf wearing Major just watching it as his vision started to get hazy with ragged breathing. Results: Cad (Helpless), Pad (Dead, shot), Kop (Sleeping in the storage room), Nad (Dead, flattened)

(Cue Ride of the Valkyries) Sangheili Ultra Kotas 'Vadumai
"How could this mission get any worse?" Kotas asks himself as his Phantoms engines spontaneously fail, sending it hurtling toward his intended target instead of above it as planned. As the ship crashes through the wall of the building containing the Artifact held by loyalists, Kotas is thrown into the air landing atop several Jiralhanae bodies when the ship finally comes to rest on its port side in the main storeroom of the manufacturing plant. He, luckily, is the only survivor of the crash. However, he just lost six of his best Jiralhanae pack members that had brought him through so much in the crash. Kotas vowed to avenge them on the guardians of the Artifact.
Knowing that he would not have any time to recharge his shields, he decided to take a defensive position in the Phantom underneath the bodies of his pack-brothers, wielding his signature Energy Sword and Mauler, but also his lead Chieftains Gravity Hammer, hoping to cause massive amounts of destruction. Currently he had his Mauler out waiting for someone to poke his head into the Phantom, he will be the first to die...

JC Torngate ODST
JC looked down at the planet below as their ship exited slipspace, and then looked quickly around at the scanners in the ready room. The rest of the squad with him, Willow, Alex, and Charles, all looked around as well. Weapons fire had been reported and they were to investigate, they all knew their mission: Secure the artifact and get the hell off of the planet below. "Alright. Let's get this over with." Willow ordered as they moved toward their pods. As the entered the pod sealed behind each one of them, pressurizing and powering up. The monitors flared to life, and the whine of machinery fills the cabin, fans whirring, motors and engines spinning and moving their respective parts, and chute charges priming. He keyed in the encryption codes, and JC waited for the rest of the squad to be ready. All the squad members reported in, and the pod release was pulled. The pods flew in formation close down to the surface, streaking to a point about half a klik from the action.

CPO Kenny-A120 - “Shadow 1” UNSCN: ONI - Sierra III, Alpha Co. AMG Transport Dynamics Waste Management Facility (Asklon) - Undisclosed, War-torn City 2053 hrs (8:53PM)
( Tag: Faclan ) Kenny was disappointed that only one of his rounds had struck home. With so many rounds flying downrange, the Spartan expected the Kig-Yar to fall, but his expectations were finally fulfilled when his precision firing hit their marks. The impact of the .50 cal rounds had disabled the Kig-Yar's personal shielding device and forced his target to fall backwards into the wall. Kenny didn't immediately follow through with the kill. Instead, he swiftly approached the Kig-Yar Major with his M6C trained on him, kicked away the saber the he initially held for the engagement to the far right of him, and with his free left hand, he grabbed the Plasma Pistol from the floor and holstered it on his left outer thigh by utilizing his suit's magnetic attachment system. Then, Kenny picked up the Needler and tossed it behind him without looking. After that, the Chief Petty Officer's left hand returned to the M6C being aimed with his right hand in a supported position. He made a mental note that there was still a Carbine on the Kig-Yar. The Spartan III was aware of the nickname the Covenant had given the Spartans in general. "Demon." He had heard it often from nearly all Covenant species and it was unfitting to Kenny that Demon was associated with a Spartan. For all he knew, the only individuals associated with Demon were those who killed innocent civilians and murdered countless numbers of children. If the Kig-Yar understood that Kenny were one of those "Demons," then so be it. But, Kenny would let it be known that he was a different kind of Demon. He was going to make sure that what he was going to do will be the rumor to spread like wildfire and strike fear into those alien bastards. He was going to make sure that instead of "Demon," the Kig-Yar would be staring at the Devil, himself. Maintaining a safe distance of 10 meters away from the apparently wounded Kig-Yar Major who was breathing weakly, Kenny deactivated his photoreactive camouflage to reveal his custom painted matte-black SPI armor as well as a dark-gray, one-way coated visor which was non-traditional to the pale green suit and gold visor color scheme usually associated with standard MJOLNIR and SPI armor. He activated the automatic translation system on his SPI Armor and spoke the Kig-Yar language through his suit's audio ports. "Let this be known: Any alien freak who threatens or kills the innocent are the true Demons. As Demons, you had made a deal with the Devil. And that Devil is me. When you make a deal with the Devil, you also make a deal with Death," Kenny said. The Spartan then fired a round at the hand of the Kig-Yar Major's uninjured shield arm and a round into each leg of the Kig-Yar's and continued speaking, "Spread these words to your comrades. Let them know that I didn't kill you because you are the messenger sent from the Devil. Let them know that if I see any of them, I will do the same to them as I did to you." The Spartan's aim rose from the Kig-Yar's center mass to his head. After doing so, he disabled the audio ports and radioed in for extraction while keeping his pistol aimed and waited for a response from the Kig-Yar. With his voice muted by his helmet, he said to Command, "Overwatch, this is Shadow One. I have the package. Requesting extract at LZ Detroit. How copy? Over." Kenny was going to get chewed if the Brass found out he left two enemy survivors.

SPARTAN-A120Wetly rasping Cad barely seemed to register that the Demon in front of him finally stopped being cowardly and revealed itself. That is until it started to speak. The Major slowly raising his head up to look at the Demon. His expression didn't reveal much to the poor translation but in his current state Cad was fighting to stay awake and alive. But he did make an attempt to respond. "Dem...Demon," raspy cough, "Of the Verm." It was after those words that Cad was shot again, multiple times. The Ruuthian barely able to do anything besides twitch and wheeze before the shooting stopped. Purple blood starting to leak out of his beak and onto his now bleeding chest from the three shots prior. Cad just able to raise up his head a last time to glare at the Demon, defiant till the end, and then offer a final stuttery mental prayer for his soul before he went limp. Beak flopping down to thunk against his chest armor as his helmet flopped off his head to bounce off his lap and roll a little bit. Dead. The sleeping Kop now the sole survivor of the file, and still happily sleeping. Results: Cad (Dead, multiple gunshot wounds), Pad (Dead, shot), Kop (Sleeping in the storage room), Nas (Dead, flattened) killakan The night was starting to drag on as the Kig-Yar file did their best to stay awake and alert in case of attack. The battle the previous day a long one for most of them and they had the injuries as well as the fatigue to easily allow them to just lay down and sleep. As Kop had quickly done in the storeroom. But all of them were about to be VERY awake. Especially the presently asleep Kop. Their first sign of trouble with be the distant rumble of engine failure, which didn't get much reaction from them. But the screaming Phantom careening down toward the earth sure did. Especially after Pad, Cad, and Nas looked out of the windows they wear near and could see the glowing blue and purple ship hurtling toward them. All the Kig-Yar screeching in fear and diving for whatever cover they could get as the ship crashed into the storeroom. Kop, who was the only one in the storeroom, had only time to startle awake at his comrades screeches before the entire world came down on top of him. His own screams of pain drowned out by the twisting of metal and sounds of collapsing room. The boxes he had wriggled behind to sleep the only thing that saved his life as his tiny sleeping hole was protected from major falling debris by them. The youngest member of the file just curled up shivering in fear as he tried to cover his head to stop the ringing and crashing. Even after the destruction had stopped. Cad and Pad were the first to arrive at the trouble spot, both with shields active as they slid into the room. Scanning around with their weapons before Cad called out over the still burning wreck. "Kop? Kop! Sound off if you are alive!" "Mmmm...Major!?" Nodding at that Cad just left that alone for now as he scanned over the Phantom before he found what he was looking for. Separatist Markings. Nodding at Pad he whispered to her before starting to move over to where he had heard Kop. "Separatists, throw a grenade into the troop bay. I'll try to get Kop." The female nodded as she scooted around a bit to be in a better position to toss the grenade as Cad kept his shield facing the crashed vessel as he moved over toward Kops little safe haven, the youngin crying out again. "What happened!? G...Get me out!" Nas meanwhile had just reached the floor of the main factory and was moving down the hallway to support her file. Results: Cad (Alert, trying to help Kop), Pad (Alert, about to grenade troop bay), Kop (Alert, trapped in storage room), Nas (Alert, moving to regroup.) @rixxan (Up to you if the ODST team arrives 'now' as in when this post is taking place, or later. Just let me know how much time has passed if its later.) Quietly snoring Kop had found a cluster of boxes that shielded him from a lot of the view from the windows and doors as the youngest file member got some sleep after the battle. His nerves had been stressed badly trying to stop the Humans from overrunning their defensive spot. It had been enough of a stonewall apparently since they had fallen back. But many of the defenders had the sinking feeling that they could have easily won, and would just sweep back when the forces were scattered to pick them off easily. But those concerns Kop allowed to just leave as he steadily breathed in and out, pistol holster on his thigh as he happily snoozed in between some boxes. Pad herself was fighting sleep, having moved from off the desk to the chair beside it as she learnt against the desk. But she was able to keep her eyes open and settle on just relaxing with her pistol and grenades on the desk as the night started to crawl in. It would likely be a long night for all of them if nothing showed up. Right now Pad wasn't really sure what she wanted more. Something to come along and give her something to do, or to just sit awake throughout the entire night in boring peace. Yawning a bit she took a drink from her canteen as she sat and watched - looking forward to being extracted so they could get a nice long sleep. But eventually taking out her older modle PP to try and keep herself awake with one of the few simple games on it. Still mostly watching outside but not as much as she should have been doing. Nas was thankfully not as tired as the rest of the file, as she had been hanging back to provide cover fire during the battle and defense. So she was able to more easily stay awake. Though she had set her rifle beside her on the catwalk and lay with her arms under his chin to give it some padding as she watched and listened. She had noted that Cad had slowed down and was moving toward the artifact, but she knew her Major wouldn't do anything rash, so she moved her over watch back to the factory floor as her eyes started to adjust to the dimming skylight above her. Turning to gaze out the window at the sunset that was rapidly moving in Cad smiled a little before he sighed quickly and started to move around the artifact again, but going much slower that before as if he had seen something or was deep in thought. Moving up to near the Artifact Cad finally stopped his pacing and just stared at it. It was rare for one of the 'lesser' races to ever be this close to a Artifact of the Gods, and Cad wasn't going to let such a opportunity pass him by to speak directly to them, especially after the trails he had faced in his career. Kneeling before it still he bent over and rested his left hand on the ground as he raised his other up to be near the artifact, but not touching it as he began speaking in Sangheili, the tips of his scarf brushing against the concrete floor. Just general queries about what he had been through to the Artifact. All the Kig-Yar either not seeing, hearing, or registering the fall stars that would be visible against the night sky. Results: Cad (Unalert, praying), Pad (Unalert, gaming), Kop (Sleeping in the storage room), Nas (Unalert, watching main factory).

Sangheili Ultra Kotas 'Vadumai
Thank the gods he was under the bodies of his allies and he had the advanced shields of an Ultra because he heard the distinctive sound of a plasma grenade being primed and buried himself deeper into the pile and taking cover. The grenade landed right on top of the pile of bodies, sending them scattering everywhere, including out of the Phantom. His shields were gone, but he survived with minor bruises. Even though his defensive cover was gone his plan had not changed, the first being to enter the Phantom is getting a Mauler to the face.
