Hello, and welcome to The Halo Community RPG, formally The Yappa's Halo RPG. We welcome players of all skill types and experiences in the wonderful world of role-playing – from beginners to the most experienced writers.
First and foremost, we would like it if you are new if you would introduce yourself to the community. After you do that, we would like for you to take some time getting to know how we operate here, by reading up on our Site and RP Rules and Guidelines. You should also use the Information board we have provided to look up information regarding the UNSC or Covenant Factions. If you need more help, feel free to PM the Staff and Guardian/Guru team, or join our Discord. People are almost always on, and will be willing and happy to help you.
Once you have familiarized yourself with the rules and guidelines, and you've read over the Character Creation Guideline thread that is located in the same board, you can create your character by copying and pasting the Character Template we have provided for you to use in the Pending Applications board to be looked over and accepted if everything's good. If they aren't finished, please mark them as 'WIP' in the thread's title.
We recommend that you use Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, or Google Docs while working on your application (as well as IC posts) to avoid losing all of your work if the forum derps (which can happen), and eats your posts.
Once your application is finished, graded, and approved, you may freely post with your character in the Canon or Non-Canon RPs. If you wish to post beforehand, or while you are waiting for someone to grade and approve your character's application to test them out, you may use the Testing Grounds board. No exceptions!
Also, if you have a human character using the appearance of an actor, actress, or whatnot (please don't use yourself), you can head over to the Face Claim thread to have your character's appearance be reserved, so no one else can use it. We also take reserves for 30 days. Of course, this is optional if you don't wish to describe your character via text.
Then, you are ready to join us in the RPs!
